big-ass-brassi:
So, it was safe to say that heâs seen better days before. It certainly never hurt to think positive when he was in the middle of dragging a lifeless body off of his battered one. The foul taste of death lingered on the back of his palate, but he didnât regret draining the body dry. He needed to feed to speed up his own recovery. Plus, the lady was a good fighter. Noble even if he wanted to give the stranger his full respect. Which, he didnât since he was quite literally back stabbed just now. It didnât help that the blade had been heavily laced with vervain, just as the bullets were.Â
The metal scraps were still embedded into his body and the fucking plant made it impossible for him to just push the bullets out. No, he had to go in and wedge them out one by one. Sure, it hurt, but heâs gone through much worse before. Did that mean he was happy with the outcome of what was supposed to be a pleasant stroll around town? No, not at all. As the last bullet fell from his bloodied fingers, Lorenzo stared at the corpse with disdain. His suit might as well have been attacked by a delusional barber at this point, and he almost dreaded the thought of going to the cleaners to try and get it fixed. Heâd be told that it was beyond repair. Again.Â
With a soft sigh he turned away and made his way back onto the street. The dispute had been kept to a nearly silent volume with how fast the two of them had fought, but he was almost certain that people would stare at him regardless. Not that he could blame them since he was walking around with a heavy smell and sight of blood that covered his tattered clothing. Yet, even then, he didnât go back home. It was an awfully long walk, and he honestly couldnât cling to the phrase âone for the roadâ any more seriously than now.Â
Lorenzo made his way over to The Loophole. The front door was used since there was hardly a crowd outside of the place. His sunglasses remained on the bridge of his nose as he walked into the establishment. Hopefully his haggard appearances wouldnât cause too much of a scene, but he wouldnât be surprised if he received an air of talk since he didnât use the backdoor like he usually did. âChateau Lafite Rothschild,â he said as he bypassed a greeting.Â
Unlike the few surrounding them, Lorenzo couldnât see Emeryâs entire facial features relax. Moments later, the mage couldnât quite figure out what the fuck was going on. âWhat thee fuck, man?â Emery elaborated his internal dialogue. He couldnât fathom why the front door and lure all this unwanted attention to the establishment. The gems were wedged back into their hiding spot, slipping his tail between his buttocks and wrapped it around the inside of his thigh. To the naked eye, it looked like a holster. In his perspective, it did withhold a dangerous sidearm. He frowned, watching him drip. âWait!â He exclaimed, shifting the crowd to clear the path so that the blood could be cleaned up. âYou better be lucky I like you, kid.â He snapped once and his workers cleared out.Â
âAlright. Letâs establish something...You look like you got into a fight with a savage beast.â The last few retreated for their quarters and eventually, he turned to retrieve two chilled bottles and a glass just for Renzo. He pursed his lips like a scowling mother before a misbehaved child. He sighed as he shook his head, purely in disbelief. âThis was just the statement I wanted my joint to read. âThe splatter point: Blood drops at 9.â He rolled his eyes as he wandered from the other side of the bar. âFollow me before I have an even bigger mess than I wanted.â
Emery led him toward the parlor- his old office. No one used it. He clicked the heel of his boot and the music began to play. Passing his bouncers, he gave them one nod and they headed toward the front. âSo, what size are you packing and do you need to be patched up?â He asked as he sat the bottles on the desk with the lone cup next to it. He slipped his blazer off, revealing the waistcoat that was the only barrier between bared skin and the naked eye. âThereâs a seat in the middle of the room. Thatâs where your bottle and glass is located. Or you can be a difficult asshole and sit in the corner.â He opened up his bottle and placed the cork anywhere. He expected the man to finish it off.Â
