I think about this like once a day
I have heard a variant on it that I really like: "You cannot hate yourself into someone you can love."
I'd rather be in outer space 🛸

Sometimes having an OC is like "this character is an outlet for my insecurity and trauma" and sometimes it's like "this character is an outlet for my love of vampires :)". Sometimes it's both
Sometimes you think it's "this character is an outlet for my love and nothing more :)" and then you look it over later like "shit. product of the deepest depths of my soul again"
Sometimes it’s the unyielding silence
ppl on ao3 should use the "this work was inspired by" option more. so many fics out there that put links to other fics in the a/n but theres a better option.....
☝️ use this!!!!!!
important addition i forgot that not everyone might know. similar to how ao3 bookmarks work, you can also link to non-ao3 fanworks using this format. so, for instance, if theres some fanart on tumblr that inspired you to write the fic? you can link that fanart to your fic!
You know, when I've remarked that a lot of the responses to my posts feel like people are just plucking out keywords they think they recognise based on the shape of them and replying to what they imagine the post says based on that, the possibility never occurred to me that this is actually how many American schools are currently teaching kids to read.
Like, my assumption this whole time has been that when folks go "I misunderstood this post that says [thing] as saying [unrelated thing] because I mistook [word] for [completely different word that happens to start with the same letter]", that was a bit. What do you mean they're teaching kids a reading method that's tailored to produce this exact error?
Three cueing. Once you learn about it, a whole lot of very frustrating online discourse with US Americans makes so much sense 😭
For decades, schools have taught children the strategies of struggling readers, using a theory about reading that cognitive scientists have
If you were taught to read with the three cueing method, and now struggle to read fluently, you can still learn to read properly!

If you're a teenager, you can still use this resource.
this is a poem. To me.

Lukloé - Sweet as Honey, Sharp as a Sting
I’ve been in a bit of a creative slump recently, so I wanted to revisit MLB and look for some refreshing inspiration. I’ve been reading a fic lately that made me fall in love with a ship I never even considered before, and I wanted to try my hand at this scene in my off moments between commissions. This author writes both Luka and Chloé so richly (all the characters really, I love how she writes Marinette) and I get excited everytime there’s a new chapter.
For all the Lukloé shippers that want a fic rec, check this one out:

Hope you enjoy, and thank you❤️
I have a soft spot for zombie movies bc you know those extras are having fun. usually being a movie extra just means standing around blending into the background, but these guys get to put on gory makeup then run around screaming and growling and trying to bite people. aspirational
@tiredandoptimistic pondering your tags like a wizard pondering their Orb:
#i did zombie survival camp as a kid and once you were killed you got to be an npc and do all the creepy gore makeup and attack your friends. the emotional turnaround was crazy. you've spent four days in the woods building this complete immersion and fear. they systemically eroded our trust in all our counselors until it felt like we were completely alone out there. and then you're finally too slow or don't hide well enough. and then BAM. go to the makeup bin and start practicing your growling because it's time to goof around freakstyle
One of my college friends had a 2012 End of the World wedding featuring zombies. During the reception, unsuspecting wedding guests were slowly picked off by roaming zombies, hustled into the bathroom and handed makeup, and sent back out to eat someone else. We all ganged up near the end to take down the wedding party- we got the MOH but the bride had a lightsaber and got away.
still fuckin hate that “bee-free honey” that’s made from……… apples. bitch who you think sexed up those apples

the thing that really cheeses my cake about flies getting in my house is they clearly don't want to be there anyway. like at least the ants trying to steal cereal from my pantry had a goal and a plan. you are just here because you're too stupid to use a window twice
