Addressing the Flitz/ Smosh Games situation
I haven’t posted anything on this account for a while, but I wanted to quickly make a post about everything that’s happened thus far.
Amra Ricketts, aka Flitz, was accused of sexual assault and rape by a number of people. He left smosh games effective immediately today, January 4th 2018.
In videos, Flitz was kind, funny, and insightful. His quirky traits and wisdom inspired me greatly, and he was a valuable and loveable member of the SG crew. the other members of Smosh and Smosh Games seemed to appreciate and love him dearly, like all of us fans. However, we don’t know Flitz’s personal life, which means these allegations must be taken seriously and I hope they are being carefully investigated by law enforcement. It’s immensely difficult for victims of this type of assault to come forward and talk about their experiences, so we must always support them, no matter how organized or suspicious the allegations seemed.
Though I rarely use this blog, any future content reblogged or posted will not involve Flitz unless he is proven innocent.
I sincerely hope Flitz did not partake in these actions, and as an American he is innocent until proven guilty, but my thoughts are with the victims at this time. If he is proven guilty, then I hope justice is served and the victims can somehow find a way to recover.
While I hope members or crew of Smosh Games or Smosh will comment or make a video on the situation, please also take respect and not interrogate or beg them for answers at this time. Many members of Smosh and Smosh Games were very very close with Flitz, and this is probably very difficult for them. We must respect their privacy for now.
Thats all I have to say- I hope for better news and better times as 2018 continues.
