Master bath
Home... FINALLY!
Master bedroom closet
Finished kitchen and living room
Nearing completion
In less than two months we have touched every inch of our new home with either a paint brush, hammer, or cleaning rag. It feels so good to be able to sit back and just look at our finished product!
From coat closet to office space... Complete!
The transition from two small bedrooms to one awesome bedroom.
Master bedroom is complete!
Painting
I LOVE to paint! Painting is instant clean. It is so gratifying. I have moved on to priming the bifold closet doors. I have to take a couple of days off, my hands are killing me!
The door's transition. It is now chocolate cherry.
WEEK 2: I primed the front door (still need to decide on a new color) and Andrew and I did some graffiti on the wall between the two small bedrooms that we plan on taking down. It was fun!
Week 1
After a week, I am surprised at how much we have accomplished. We have ran into a couple of expenses we didn't anticipate. The largest being new carpet for downstairs. After cleaning it, I just don't think it will make it. We hadn't thought of doorknobs or hinges either. We wanted to change the locks on the exterior doors and wow those can get pricey!
Day 7: I got the first coat of primer on the interior doors. Andrew and I swept the drive way and garage. Keith got the yard mowed and some brush cleared away.
Day 6: Sparkling Clean! I spent several hours removing the old caulk from the shower, it was disgusting! I will need to recaulk it but at least it's clean!
Day 4
I really wish I could snap my fingers and all the work was done!
Day 3: I didn't get much accomplished today, mostly due to that earning a living thing called work! I'm still cleaning the master bathroom. At one point I almost gave up and went to lowes to buy new shower doors! It is much better now @keithmr2129!
Not complete destruction
Day 2 of our renovation was a lot of demolition. Keith removed more of the kitchen cabinets and the baseboards. I, being completely OCD, focused my efforts on cleaning. I cleaned the bathrooms, removed the doorknobs, and cleaned the doors to ready them for paint. Andrew our 9 year old son was not feeling it today, having been painfully ripped away from mine craft, and had a minor melt down which quickly dissipated after I left him "play" in the Jacuzzi tub with some Ajax and a scrub brush. All in all it was a very productive day that I will feel in my forearms in the morning!
