Jaime watches in surprise as the boy rushes around, clearly desperate to fix his mistake despite Jaime’s insistence. “Hey, really, it’s not a big deal. I mean it.” Jaime repeats the words again, hoping the kid will actually listen to him. “Uh.. sure, let’s go with that.” He glances down at the can - if i had just been squeezed, it might not be so weird, but the kid has basically crushed it into a ball which is a little different. “Honestly, probably not the worst situation I’ve been in in public. Just - honestly, it’s not the end of the world. You don’t have to freak out so much.”

The male was obviously trying to get Jon calm down.  Finally listening to what the boy was saying he takes a deep breath and forces himself to relax. His shoulders relaxed visibly and he nods at the boy. “Well if you say so.” He smiles nervously at the male, glad he wasn’t questioning the super strength much. In a public place he wasn’t supposed to show off, but sometimes his nerves get the best of him. “what was the most embarrassing thing you have gone through in public, mister?” He asks curiosity getting the best of him.

“Whoa -” Jaime jumps up quickly, frowning at the drink that’s been spilled all over his jeans. Muttering to himself in Spanish, he does the best he can to clean as much of it off as he can, but really the damage is done. “It - it’s fine, really. I’ll wash out, esé, don’t worry about it.” Jaime glances up at the boy - he’s young, clearly worried and flustered after making such a mistake, though the crushed can in his hand takes Jaime by surprise. “Honestly - don’t worry so much, it’s not a big deal. “

“-orry sorry.” Jon mutters out apologies trying to fix the mess. Rushing over to another table he grabs as many napkins as he can and puts them on the table. “essy? no no, it’s my fault oh jeez, this is such a mess.” When the can crumbles under his strength he winces and gently places the crushed can on the table. “They don’t make can’s like they use to r-right? ha..ha.” Jon forces out a laugh, trying to seem more relaxed. “you sure...you kind of look like you peed yourself...”

“I SUPPOSE HERE WE GO, I’ll experience it at least once to see if its truly as great as you’re making it out to be.” Damian replied and wished he had more time to keep up on what’s popular and what’s not. He had only been in this side of the world for six years, not enough time at all to adjust to pop culture. He was trying, but there was only so much he could take in. “If I fall asleep, I fall asleep, shut up.”

Damian stepped into the room, and glanced around. It was familiar, all stuff he has seen before. He tugged at the long sleeves as he sat on Jon’s bed. He should have figured they could focus on what they want to listen to or not. Wouldn’t that be exhausting to do all the time at home? Damian wasn’t going to think about it that much, he could always ask his father later. “My father’s Batman, world’s greatest detective.” He answered with a grin. 

“Come on now, lets start.”

“If you don’t like it I don’t think I could associate with you anymore.” He wasn’t serious, of course, the friendship between him and Damian was more important than a movie franchise but he would be disappointed. Very disappointed. “if you fall asleep I’ll draw on your face.” Jon jokes, sticking his tongue out at the older boy.

Once Jon had popped the movies in, he walks over to the bed. Popping a seat as close to his friend as possible, giving him a happy grin while he does. “That doesn’t mean you have to Question everything.” He rolls his eyes and nudges Damian's shoulder playfully. 

Remembering the soda’s under his bed Jon leans down to grab them. While he does so he has a sneaky idea, shaking one of the cans under the bed he smirks. Yeah, he’s gonna get Damian for sure!!! Popping back up he gives his friend a smile and hands over the shaken soda.

Slightly floating behind Red Robin Jon makes an agreeing noise, it was a little surprising to see another Robin in this town. But Jon was curious how different the man was to the one he knew. “I agree...it seems no matter where I go people still hurt each other..”

“SAFE? What’s safer about it?” Damian asked, wondering what Jon meant by that exactly. Was he implying that Gotham was too dangerous to travel through? Well … he wasn’t wrong, it was dangerous, but it wasn’t ALL bad. There was good parts too, it had it’s good side. People lived there, and moved to be there for a reason after all. You just have to be careful and not go to the wrong parts of the city. “Yeah, we can do those sleepovers. We’ll have to be extra careful. Our fathers are smart, but mine is still learning the layout of New York. Until he does we’ll be alright I think, but you should know they’ll always find us no matter where we go if they really want to.”

“Well isn’t the crime rate over there in Gotham kind of crazy high? And you wouldn’t be alone as long before it took a while to get to my house traveling between cities. But now we’re neighbors compared to before!” Jonathan didn’t really have an opinion on Damian’s hometown, he never really got to roam the city alone or adventure much. All he knows is his parents would kill him if they ever catch him alone on Gotham's streets. “Don’t worry!! With our combined planning, I'm sure we can get by them.” He frowns, knowing Damian was probably right, their fathers are the best at what they did, finding two boys in one city shouldn’t be a problem. “Well. Maybe if we go when they're distracted it’ll be ok?”

contrary to popular belief, even a person with jason’s background, running into a kryptonian had been pretty rare. hence why his the majority of his experience with kryptonians was limited to the few times he ran into superman when working alongside bruce. “ yeah — i don’t suggest taking it up either, baby supes. ” it wasn’t like the kid would need to though. for OBVIOUS reasons. plus supes would blast him into the next galaxy if he told his son otherwise. “ actually — if supes asks. we never met. hell, if damian ask, tell him i moved to canada or something. ” 

Baby Supes? Sure Jonathan was the youngest Kryptonian existing currently, but he was by no means close to an infant. His nose scrunches in displeasure, he crosses his arms giving the very intimidating man a good glare. “It’s Superboy. Not baby anything.” He huffs, starting to feel a little less nervous about the man he raises an eyebrow. “Wait why would Damian be mad if I talked to you?” He doesn’t know much about the Gotham vigilantes, but it was interesting they know each other. “is Damian one of your rivals?”

“Whoa..” Jon lets out an astonished gasp, watching the superhero in action. Easily maneuvering his body to help out the civilians. He should really stop gawking and actually help the hero out, but it was so transfixing to see someone as great as his dad working. Letting out a little cough he makes himself known the hero, floating close to him. “Do you need any help?”

“o-OH!! SHOOT!” Jon scrambles to look for more napkins to put into the other boy's lap. It was purely an accident, while he was walking by the boy's table he knocked over the soda can. Fortunately, it didn’t land on any food, but the poor boys pants weren't as lucky. “Oh shoot- I'm so so sorry.” Jon fumbles around trying to right the soda can back up before it makes more a mess. His flustering and nerves get the best of him, leading to the poor aluminum can being crushed under his alien strength. “I’ll....get you another one...”

“NO? Was I supposed to?” Damian wasn’t exactly the best at keeping up to date on what was popular within the culture of children their age. That included films that teenagers indulged in, but it seems this fell under his radar when it shouldn’t have. “Well then show them to me, lets go. Sleep is for the weak, we don’t need any of that.” He agreed as he followed Jon to his room. He tugged at the hoodie along the way. 

“Jonathan. Your father has super hearing, I’m pretty sure no matter where we go he would be able to hear it.” Damian commented, but this wasn’t his house so he doesn’t know how it all works on a day-to-day basis. “How’d you sneak that past Clark?”

“YES! pirates of the Caribbean is one of those movies EVERYONE should at least watch once.” It was always strange to Jon how behind on pop culture Damian was, he supposes his past was a unique case. But Damian was still a kid deep down to Jon, maybe he’s an odd kid. But still a kid, and he deserved to experience things all kids do. “You say that but I know after a while even you couldn’t keep your eyes open.” Bouncing on the balls of his feet, he excitedly gets to his room. locking the door shut once both the boys were inside.

“shhh. He tries to give me privacy sometimes when I’m in my room. Like how I make sure not to listen in when he’s in his room. ‘Just cause you can do something doesn’t mean you should’, err- that’s what dad says anyway.” Walking over to his dvd cases he grabs the movies, finding them easily. “Well...maybe he knows but he hasn’t said anything about it! So shhh.” He giggles, poping the first disc out of the case and putting it into his ps4. “Why do you have to question all good things Damian?”

“ YA KNOW — i hate the part in movies where the so-called hero empties like six clips    before he finally shoots the ‘bad guy’. did they go to the storm trooper academy of shooting or something?  aim and shoot, people, aim and shoot. s’not that hard. y’know how expensive decent bullets are? ”

Jonathan never had the ‘pleaure’ of meeting Mr.Red hood, usually, when Jon had wondered the streets of Gotham he was almost always occupied by either his father or Damian. It was kind of odd seeing the fabled hero out of Gotham And made Jon somewhat nervous. “uh...well I prefer not having to shoot a gun. if that helps anything, you save even more money.”

Selina smiled as she climbed carefully out of the small apartment window, utterly pleased that she’d completed yet another petty crime without being caught. New Yorkers really could sleep through anything, considering she’d been inside the bedroom of this place, right under the owners noses, rifling through their possessions to find what she was looking for. As she jumped from rooftop to rooftop, she wondered how she’d ever been trusted to be signed off as sane. Well, actually, she was sane, but that didn’t mean that she didn’t have sticky fingers any longer. People were so gullible. Chuckling to herself, she dropped down onto a balcony below, and then from there onto the street. Hearing footsteps, she froze in place. “Who’s there?” she hissed.

Jonathan wasn’t the type of person who snuck out or did anything to ever worry his parents. He always tried to keep his cool and be the best that he could for them both, but some days he started to have that itch. A small subtle itch of wanting to break free of that good boy streak, and do something he wouldn't normally do. Tonight, he waited until the perfect opportunity and gathered to courage to sneak out of his room, alone. Fueled by adrenaline he rushes out of sight distance from his house wondering the streets alone. But after a couple minutes of being out here, he was starting to regret not having a plan to actually go anywhere. Before he could even formulate a plan he sees someone dropping down to the ground. Narrowing his eyes he wonders over to the sounds, coming to see a women dressed in all black. “Maybe I should be asking you that question.” He throws back, feeling nervous that he’s talking to a stranger at this time of night.

“I HAVE NEVER SEEN any of these films. There’s a lot of them isn’t there?” Damian asked as he followed him, or well, was pulled along by the oversized sleeves from this hoodie he had on. The sleeves went past his hands which was inconvenient. How would he get anything done in this? It was comfortable though and it did smell a lot like Jon, but Damian couldn’t be that vulnerable just yet and admit that. 

He did love a good action film though, so if that’s what this was he was excited for it. “Where are we going?” He asked as he looked up at his friend as he followed closely to him. Where would they be watching this film? The living room or in his bedroom?

“Wait...You haven’t seen ANY?” Jon Abruptly turns around and gives Damian a shocked look. Almost as if Damian’s childhood was ruined purely over the fact he was never exposed to the awesomeness that is named captain jack sparrow. “Damian. You have not lived until you seen these movies.” Jon lets go of Damian's sleeve and puts his hand on his friend's shoulder. “We aren’t sleeping until we’ve watched them ALL.”

Turning back to where he was walking he points to his room. “Since we aren’t going to sleep tonight, we’re going to my room. So we don’t wake up dad while the movies are going. OH!” Jon claps his hands excitedly, “soda. We need lots of sugar. Don’t tell dad, but I got a stack under my bed just for nights like this.”

Barry hadn’t been sleeping very well lately, which was why he was so distracted. He’d been rubbing his eyes when he bumped into the poor person that was now giving him a curious look. “Sorry! Not sleeping can really mess with your ability to walk,” he chuckled, trying to make light of the clumsy accident.

Pockets full of allowance money, Jon makes his way to the nearest GameStop. While on his way rushing over to the store he nearly trips when someone bumps into him. Blinking rapidly he turns to apologize to the person, only to be beaten to the punch. “No no, it’s ok. I should have been more careful.”

DAMIAN DIDN’T KNOW WHY JON always insisted on being so affectionate. Of course underneath his rough exterior he enjoyed it since there was feelings there beyond just being best friends. He wanted to explore those emotions, but he didn’t know how. He had no idea how relationships work or what to do when it comes to flirting. So he does it in the only way he knows how, and that turned into the harsh treatment he gave Jon when they were younger. He has gotten better at it though, not being as mean.

“Oh, action films? Lets watch one of those. I’d love to judge their fighting styles.” He said with a grin as he looked up at the other boy. He tried pushing the sleeves of this hoodie up, but they kept falling down so it turned out to be a lost cause.

It always boggled Jon when his friend always held him at a distance. It was a weird constant push and pull, and Jon never knows where he stands with Damian. Sometimes there was a flash of something softer, something sweeter, but then it’ll vanish and Jon is left confused. Deep down, despite the fights and random bursts of aggression from Damian, he cared deeply for the boy.

“Pirates of the Carribean it is!” Jon announces, grinning brightly at the boy. Walking past Damian, He grabs one of the oversized sleeves and tugs his friend along gently. Urging him to quickly come along with Jon. “You’re gonna love it! How many of the movies have you watched??”
