Nobody is doing it like Richard Gadd these days in terms of writing because what do you mean in just this episode he squeezed in: gay conversion therapy, male infertility, men treating their female partners like scum, internalized homophobia and the pressures of coming out to yourself and accepting your sexuality, cheating, and a subtle but not so subtle allusion to mpreg (Niall possibly getting Mona pregnant and basically having a child with Ruben through her because he can't physically conceive and carry a baby inside him🙂‍↔️) and managing to stay true to the story without making things feel convoluted or gratuitous.

It's like something out of my darkest dead dove: not eat, noncon, toxic yaoi AO3 bookmarks but so much more gahh I love his fucked up beautiful mind
