I feel like you go through life hoping to be offended by anything - so you start taking offense to everything. You're basically like "There was a guy near me on the train earlier, and he had the AUDACITY to blink! Doesn't he know how misogynistic that is?" and you seem far too intelligent to devolve into turning mountains into molehills. It's sad.

Personally, I think it’s sad that you don’t find the issues of consent, objectification, and fetishization of WoC to be actual issues. 

And I’m too confident in my self and my beliefs, too well versed in the ways people try to manipulate others to take the bait with your excellent combo of “you’re just hoping to be offended by anything” and “you seem too intelligent for that”.

Bottom line: we live in a rape culture, and this is just a further example of that. If you don’t want to see that, it’s your prerogative, but my eyes are wide open.

this is why Victoria is such an incredible wonderful person and feminist blogger we should all aspire to be: she’s SO well-versed in abuse tactics and is really confident in her fact-supported beliefs. it takes a lot of time and effort to get to this point! it’s really really easy to get derailed by abuse tactics like anon’s message here — they’re designed to get you to wonder whether you really ARE crazy for being bothered by all the things that maybe didn’t used to bother you before or don’t seem to bother anyone else. this is just one tactic misogynist abusers use to attack women, but it’s a frequently used one: it’s basically gaslighting, the “you can’t trust your own perceptions so you must be crazy” tactic. basically, find people like Victoria and learn from them! being reminded what abuser tactics look like and learning how to identify and shut them down is SUCH an important skill. and for me personally it’s been really important for strengthening my mental health.

I’d love to see these “you have no right to complain about what developers put in games” guys if in the next installment Master Chief was gay, the Call of Duty protagonist was Muslim, or Samus Aran was openly and vocally feminist. Do you really think their little Reddit dungeons would be awash with internally consistent statements like “well, it’s art, guys - we really don’t have the right to complain”? No. They would lose their fucking shit. They would send death threats and rape threats to every single developer and media outlet they can think of. And yet they see no irony in portraying people who want better representation as the ones who are whiny, entitled, emotional and perennially catered to.

This is the Beighton Scale, used for determining whether or not an individual exhibits hypermobility. If you score a 5 or above, you may want to consider seeing a geneticist for a possible diagnosis of EDS. This is NOT  the only diagnostic criteria, so regardless of the result, positive or negative, you cannot confirm whether or not you have EDS. Also, as an additional note: picture 3 looks as if the joint being tested is the ankle, but its NOT. Figure 3 should be depicting knee hyperextension. You should give yourself a point for each knee that bends backwards at the joint.
