Is it that people are difficult, or are human relationships inherently difficult? I think people aren't necessarily "bad," but the interaction between two complex internal worlds creates the difficulty!

Maybe human relationships are what happen when two private mythologies collide.

They feel difficult because no one is interacting with a person alone — but where interpretation, expectation, memory and projection all start interfering with reality. Entire invisible architectures.

I don’t think people are inherently cruel; just catastrophically opaque to one another.
