You were running through a forest in pitch darkness, separated from the Winchesters. What was supposed to be a simple vampire hunt had turned bad after discovering there wasn't just one, but a nest. You'd done all the research, you hadn't been sloppy, but somehow none of the others had been seen by anyone, leading you to believe it was a solitary vamp behind the recent killings.
How could we be so stupid? There's always a nest! You thought to yourself, trying to gasp in air. You needed to find Sam and Dean, fast. But twigs were snapping behind you and you knew it wasn't them, they would call your name. And the creepy laugh was definitely not either of them.
Instead, you decided to try to spot a good kill site. Up on the ridge? No. God knows what's over it, the vamp lives here and has the advantage. No, you needed somewhere your back would be covered by more than just a tree.
Luckily there were rock formations around here, all you needed was to find one.
"I'm coming for you girlie, bet you taste real good!" The delight in his voice urged you faster.
Need a clearing, need somewhere I'll have the upper hand against this thing, damnit!
Suddenly you broke free of the forest, into -Blessedly- a clearing. No back cover but it'll have to do, I won't find a better place before I end up dinner.
You stopped abruptly, turning in time for the vamp to barrel straight into you. You spun as you fell, leaving you on top with the machete against his neck.
"Tell your friends I said hi." You whispered, pushing the blade down until his head was completely and the gargles had ceased. Thank god that's over, I don't think my lungs could have coped with much more running. You took a moment to get your breath back before turning to head back. Except you turned straight into a second vamps fangs.
"This is for Charles!" She giggled maniacally before sinking her teeth deep into your upper arm. You screamed, pushing her off you and tearing the wound further in the process. Then, clutching your arm, you drove the machete through her neck, removing her head too.
"God fucking damn it!" You seethed, tearing the bottom of your shirt off to tie around the bite. It didn't look too bad thankfully, just hurt like a bitch. Picking up the machete you pulled your phone out of your pocket and called Dean.
"Y/N? Where are you?"
"Hey Dean, I'm in a clearing just outside the fores
“I can see the road from here. Have you finished off the nest?"
"All except two, we couldn't find the original vamp and got told that ‘Simone’ would take care of us."
"Don't worry, I've got them covered. Pick me up from here, I can't be bothered finding my way back."
"Sure thing Y/N, be there soon."
Dean hung up the phone, and you wandered over to sit next to the road. You took your plaid shirt from around your waist and shrugged it over your shoulders to hide your wound. You didn't want to cause unnecessary worry.
You heard Baby purr in the moonlight, the Impala lights becoming visible over a ridge in the road and sighed in contentment. You couldn't to get home and sleep for a week. You were so tired, so very, very, tired...
You jumped at the sound of a car horn, realising you must have started falling asleep.
"Y/N, hurry up! I wanna get back to the motel and eat!"
"Sorry Dean, I'm just so tired." You mumble, pulling yourself into the backseat of the Impala. You instantly laid down, picking up a jacket from the floor to use as a pillow.
"Are you alright Y/N?" Sam asked, sounding concerned.
"I'm fine Sam, just tired." You felt something run down your arm. You just wanted it to go away, it was tickling you, disturbing your sleep.
"Just let her sleep Sam, she ran about 3 miles through the forest and took down two vamps on her own she's bound to be tired."
"Alright.." Sam looked forward again, getting more comfortable in his seat.
The tickling just wouldn't go away, you decided to take your shirt off to look at the bite again. You discovered the source of your fatigue.
There was blood all over you. Your shirt was soaked. It was running over the seats of the beautiful impala, turning the interior black in the moonlight. It felt surreal. It looked so pretty. The tickling was gone. You just wanted to sleep. Just sleep..
"DEAN! PULL OVER!" Sam screamed, once again rousing you. You just couldn't catch a damn break, could you?
The car swerved onto the side of the road, and Dean looked back, his eyes wide. There was blood all over the car.
"Y/N? shit, Y/N?!"
"Dean, we have to get her to a hospital!" Sam yelled, getting into the backseat with you. He wrapped the jacket you had been using as a pillow around your arm, keeping pressure on the wound.
"Sam, how are we supposed to explain this? "Hey sorry, our friend got bitten by a god damn vampire, could you help us out? Oh and by the way, don't mention that you saw two men wanted by the feds to cops or anything, that'd be great too!" We can't take her Sam!"
"Then what do you suggest we do Dean? She's bleeding out here, it must have hit an artery!"
Couldn't they just shut up and let you sleep? The bite was fine, it was barely a scratch. You just wanted to sleep!
"Y/N, open your eyes. Can you do that for me, just open your eyes and look at me okay?!" Sam sounded very panicked.
"CAS! CASTIEL! GET YOUR FEATHERED ASS DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW CAS! WE NEED YOU! Y/N NEEDS YOU! HELP US!" Dean screamed in the background.
But you couldn't open your eyes. And then you started to worry. Why couldn't you open your eyes? Oh god, so tired..
"Open your eyes!"
"CAS!"
"OPEN YOUR EYES!"
"CASTIEL!"
"Stay with us Y/N, please, stay..."
Everything went black.
When you woke up again you were in your room in the bunker. Thank god it was a dream you thought, getting out of bed. You had a craving for pancakes. You walked into the kitchen only to find it was empty. Pouting, you walked into the main room.
"Sam, Dean, we need-OOF!" You were cut off by a bear hug from Sam, strangling the life out of you. You patted his back awkwardly, looking at Dean around him.
"Thank god you're okay!" Sam said, finally letting you breathe.
"Of course I'm okay Sam, why wouldn't I be? Although I'm a little pissed I can't have pancakes."
"Y/N, don't you remember what happened?" Dean asked.
"What are you talking about? Wh-" Your face paled. "It wasn't a dream then, that actually happened?"
"Yes it actually happened. What were you thinking?" Sam exclaimed, pushing his hair back.
"It was barely a scratch guys, really! I've had much worse from much scarier before, we all have!"
"Well apparently it was worse than a scratch. If Cas hadn't answered my prayers you'd be dead right now Y/N, do you understand that?!" Dean was almost yelling, you felt tears bead up in your eyes.
"I'm sorry guys.. I thought I was fine.. I didn't mean to worry you.." A single tear fell before Dean pulled you into a hug.
"It's alright Y/N, just tell us next time you're hurt okay? And don't go to sleep! We thought we'd lost you." You nodded into Dean's neck, sniffling the last of your sobs. He patted your back before pulling away. "Oh and Y/N? If you ever mess up Baby like that again, I'll kill you myself." He winked at you and you burst out laughing, even Sam snorted a little in the background.
"So... Who wants pancakes?" You grinned. You were all alive. You were all safe. It was all going to be okay.

A/N: (When reader is thinking I’ve put what I’m studying to do, but you can substitute with your own dream :) ) Also when I wrote from Sam, Dean and Cas’s point of view it’s illustrating the blame they place on themselves, I personally don’t believe most of it was their fault so don’t hate me for writing it that way please :)
Dean, Sammy and Cas had gone on a food run. You didn’t know why they all went, maybe they wanted some guy time, or had a case to talk about that they yet again didn’t want you to come on but whatever. You needed some time to yourself anyway. Having not been alone in months and having to stay strong the whole time you were kinda happy they left. Even when you put on the facade of strength, hunting did get to you sometimes. So you put on the one song you could always let go with, which seemed disturbingly appropriate and yet hauntingly ironic. Demons. You wanted to laugh at that being the song that got you but it would be devoid of humour.
Guys, an oldie but possibly the best thing I have ever written, I'm gonna try and get back into writing (AND YES THAT MEANS I WILL HOPEFULLY FINALLY BE POSTING ALL YOUR REQUESTS JESUS FUCKING CHRIST I AM SO SO VERY SORRY) but it might take me a while as I've been struggling a lot with every personal thing you can imagine and have relapsed more than once. I didn't want to make that public so I kept making bullshit excuses but you all deserve to know the truth. I love you all and you have no idea how much you have helped me, stay strong everyone!

One Shot idea! You're staying at the same motel as Sam & Dean (you don't know them, you're just in town for work). You leave your room at the same time Dean leaves his (by coincidence). As you walk to your car, you look up and see a man (happens to be Gordon W.-he is there to kill Dean to get to Sam) with a long-range rifle pointed at Dean so you run and push Dean out of the way, taking the bullet yourself. The rest could be Dean patching you up, Dean fluff, and how you catch/take care of Gordon

Hey guys! I’m so sorry I haven’t posted, I’ve been so busy! A/N: So basically I wrote this last night because I felt so bad about not posting for so long, it seems a bit forced to me but apparently it's good so here you go :) I'm really sorry to the people with requests but I think I'm managing to get back into this with the help of a few fangirl friends of mine! :P

This was it. This was the night. You didn't realize a human body could contain as much nervousness as was currently swirling within you, it felt like ten Archangels all battling inside your mind for control of your very soul. But you wouldn't let them win. You had wanted to do this for so long you couldn't remember a time you weren't practicing. Learning or teaching yourself guitar, singing as much as physically possible without destroying your vocal chords. Practicing in front of heaters to make sure you didn't pass out under lights. But tonight was the night.
You were going to perform.
Sure it was only at a bar, but most people didn't get as far as playing at a bar and it was a big deal for you. You were just hoping Sam and Dean didn't find out. You know it was stupid to not tell them but it just never came up. Not to mention you didn't want the inevitable "Play for us!" that came whenever anyone found out you could decently play guitar. So here you were, in a cheap motel room getting ready because you didn't want to get ready in front of them. You had just said you were going to do some research at the library in town since they had some rare books and then you were going to a bar and would be home late. You had specified you wanted to go alone. Luckily they didn't question you, but they looked very curious. Just in case, you had said you were going to a completely different bar than the one you were ACTUALLY playing at. Just in case. And so here you were, playing and singing, Capo firmly placed on the second fret, heaters placed in front of you. Having already tested which makeups worked under lights and which didn't without running down your face you were prepared for anything.
The bar you were going to, "The Spot", had newer music. Another reason you had picked it. Dean wouldn't step foot in the place. You chuckled at that. A little overkill maybe but you could never be too safe. You were scheduled to perform your song at 8:30pm, so you had to be there at about 8. It was currently 6. You knew you should eat something but you were barely keeping your stomach in control as it was. At about 6:30 you managed two pieces of toast but that was it. Just enough to absorb the acids your stomach produced around this time to prepare for the food you should be consuming, not enough to throw it back up. Looking at the clock you realized it had finally hit 7pm. Time to get ready. You thought to yourself. You brushed your H/L hair, pinned it up off your neck and put on a pair of black, high waisted skinny jeans, a dark navy blue skintight sleeveless shirt and a plaid shirt over the top comprised of various blues and blacks. You pulled on your combat boots and laced them up, looking at yourself in the mirror. You looked good so far. Time for makeup.
The trick with doing makeup if you're going to be under lights, is put on enough so your skin has some colour, but not enough that it could run. Which was tricky. You had scoped the bar out earlier to see what you were dealing with and judging from the lights you needed to put on foundation that was about 2 tones darker than your actual skin colour. You also had to put it everywhere skin was showing otherwise you would just look stupid. It took you about 15 minutes to evenly apply the amount of foundation you needed. You would never get over how strange you looked so tanned. next was eyeshadow, easy enough. Light blue to just under the line of your eyebrow, enough to tint the skin but not enough to be a solid colour, and a dark blue on just your eyelid as a solid standout colour with a very thin line going halfway under your eye. It was your big day, why not look more glamorous than usual? Besides, it made you feel more confident. After that it was a layer of mascara, pushing your eyelashes up just enough to look longer than most people's but not enough to make it look like they were fake. A thin line of metallic black eyeliner around the entire eye to make everything pop. And finally, a cherry purple lipstick to tie it all together. Done. You had 15 minutes to spare so you quickly grabbed your guitar and placed it in the car, put a few extra picks in your pocket just in case you lost yours and got your purse with money for a drink to loosen up, a drink after and your ID. You weren't going to drink much since you had to drive yourself back to the bunker. You checked out of the hotel after making sure you had left none of your belongings behind and made the 5 minute drive to the bar.
When you arrived you pulled your guitar out and stuck your purse under your arm before entering through the back door. Marishka, the owner of The Spot, was waiting for you in the rehearsal room.
"Y/N!" She exclaimed loudly, pulling you into a fierce hug after you had put your guitar on the stand. "I didn't know whether you would actually show up! You look lovely by the way!" Marishka was a very bubbly person. You blushed at her compliment but the amount of foundation you had on surely disguised it.
"Thanks Shka! How long until I go on?" You inquired, hugging back just as hard.
"About 20 minutes love," She looked around you when you were finally released from the death grip and could breathe again. "Where are Sam and Dean?"
Ah.
You guys had saved Marishka on a hunt a while back and you had stayed in touch since. As far as you knew the guys didn't know she even owned a bar, you were the only one who had stayed in touch with her to your knowledge. And you may or may not have neglected to mention that they didn't know about your "Talents".
"Erm.. They don't know I'm here.." You mumbled.
"Well why not?" She scrunched her nose up in confusion.
"Because.. They don't exactly know that I.. Do.. This.." You gestured around vaguely, the tips of your shoes suddenly becoming very interesting.
"Oh.. Ok.. Why haven't you told them?"
"Because I don't really want them to know."
"Fair enough I guess, I don't know why you wouldn't tell them since I've heard you play but I understand." Marishka smiled at you. "Alright, well you're up in 15 so have a drink and practice or whatever it is you do!" She patted your shoulder affectionately and strolled off to do whatever it is you do when you own a club. You went out the front and ordered a jack daniels and coke from the friendly (Attractive) bartender then went back to the rehearsal room. Gingerly picking up your guitar you made certain that the capo was still firmly in place and hadn't been jostled in the car before doing a run through of the song.
"Now please give a warm welcome to Y/F/N!" Marishka's voice boomed happily over the loudspeaker. Your nerves went into overdrive and you quickly finished your drink before steeling yourself and awkwardly walking on stage. A raucous applause designated your arrival. You shyly waved at the crowd, taking a seat in front of the two microphones. One was adjusted to the height your mouth would be when you were sitting down and the other in front of the acoustic guitar in your hands. The only good thing about the lights was that you couldn't really see past the first three rows of people standing in front of the stage. Which also meant you didn't see Sam and Dean standing at the back, jaws dropped as they looked up at you.
"Dude, since when does she play guitar and sing?!" Dean whisper shouted.
"I have no idea.." Sam mumbled.
You cleared your throat, images of the boys popping into your head. Singing in the Impala, playing jokes on eachother, researching with Sammy or learning how to fix a car with Dean. You smiled softly, your nerves loosening slightly and began to strum the guitar quietly. You would never tell anyone why you picked this song, especially because the person who inspired you would be ashamed. But to hell with it. And with that thought implanted in your mind you sang.

If it does not exist." You started getting more into the song, the voices that were previously shouting at you to run off stage fading in the back of your mind. Dean's heart stuttered and Sam had a shocked look on his face. Neither of them had any idea you could do something like this. And you still had no idea that they were watching as you went into the chorus.

The only exception." A gentle smile plastered itself onto your face, The thoughts of Sam disappearing into the background and the ones of Dean appearing in the very forefront of your mind.

The only exception!" And now comes the part that made you nervous. Singing softly had always come easily to you, but the expressive parts had needed practice. The thoughts in your mind were now assuring you that you would get it right. And in the back of the crowd Dean was struggling to get closer to the stage, Sam still too shocked to move. Apparently the crowd was too because everyone was watching in silent awe, not giving Dean an inch. And that's when he had to stop. Because your singing had started echoing through the room.
"I've got a tight grip on reality but I can't,
Let go of what's in front of me here!

Oh woah!!" The entire room was silent for a brief moment. Even the singing and playing had stopped. But then people started cheering. You couldn't make it out but Sam and Dean were loudest of all. Marishka was leaning against a door frame smiling at you up on stage. And you grinned ear to ear.

My way to believing." The crowd cheered louder and started whistling at the last note you played, applause echoing throughout the room. You laughed in happiness, bowed and waved before jogging off stage. Dean made his way back to Sam.
"Give your love to my lovely friend Y/F/N for her amazing performance of The Only Exception by Paramore!" A voice boomed over the loud speaker.
"Why does that voice sound familiar?" Sam asked, looking around the bar.
"I have no idea."
And then a very familiar happy figure bobbed up to them.
"Hey boys!" She shouted, hugging them each in turn.
"Marishka?" They said in unison. Marishka giggled.
"Yesm! Y/N told me you guys weren't coming?"
"We weren't, but when she said she was going to the library then a bar by herself we got a little curious. We found the schedule in her room." Dean replied.
"I figured you would be coming, she neglected to mention the fact that you guys didn't know about her talents until she showed up about half an hour ago. Would you like to surprise her?" Shka grinned deviously, causing the boys to chuckle.
"Yes." They yet again said in unison.
You had gotten another drink at the bar, receiving many congratulations on the way there and back including from the bartender before going to the rehearsal room again. Hearing someone clapping from the doorway you swallowed the drink left in your mouth.
"Thanks Shka, that went better than I thou-" You stopped dead when you saw Sam and Dean watching you curiously. "Uh.. Wha.. What are you guys doing here?" You cleared your throat nervously.
"I think the question that is important here is why WEREN'T we supposed to be here?" Dean replied. You sighed in defeat.
"I just.. I don't know. I never really tell people."
"Why not? That was brilliant Y/N!" Sam asked.
"This is why, the inquisition of why didn't I tell anyone! And the inevitable play for us sing for us I hate it, I stopped telling people a long time ago for exactly that reason!" You shouted angrily before storming out of the room.
Sam, Dean and Marishka looked at eachother for a minute. Then Dean jogged after you.
"Y/N! Wait!" He shouted. You got in your car to drive off but he opened the door.
"Let me go Dean." You whispered.
"No. Not until you talk to me."
"There's nothing to talk about."
"Well I think there is. Why didn't you want us to come Y/N?"
"I already told you."
"No, you told us why you didn't tell us you could play and sing, you didn't tell us why you wouldn't want us to see you."
"I don't know.." You couldn't look at him.
"Tell me."
"Because I was embarrassed ok? It's not like I was doing a rock song or something, if I was I would have told you. It was a stupid love song and I didn't want you guys to see me." You snapped, finally looking into his emerald eyes, your own E/C ones brimming with tears you refused to shed.
"Y/N.. Even if you had of been singing the corniest love song on the face of this god forsaken planet we would have been proud. Why would you be embarrassed of having a talent like that?"
You were both silent for a minute. You angrily swiped at your eyes before speaking.
"I've only ever sung in front of one person Dean. The person that got me into hunting. The person that died." He sighed in recognition.
Gently pulling you out of the car and into his arms, he began rubbing your back in soothing motions. The tears finally dripped onto his shirt. You were sure your makeup was completely destroyed by this point.
"Was he who you were singing about today?" He mumbled quietly. You shook your head. "Then who?" He sounded confused.
"No one." You muttered into his chest. Dean pulled back a bit, lifting your chin so you were face to face.
"Who?"
"You Dean.. I was singing about you." You whispered. Ashamed, you looked down again.
And then his lips met yours.
You were so astonished you couldn't fathom how to move your body enough to respond, but he patiently waited until you did. He flicked his tongue quickly across your lower lip, begging for the entrance you swiftly granted. It was the sweetest kiss you had ever experienced, and it would stay in your mind until the end of your days.
Hi guys!! I'm having really bad writers block on my requests, plus I'm having real life issues (Ugh I just wish I could live in the internet, it's so much nicer here!) so I'm going to try something. I've always had trouble writing in the You/Your/You're sense, so with my personalized one shots for the giveaway I did a while ago (I feel like such a horrible person for taking so long I'm so so sorry ugh I hate real life) I'm going to write as I/Me/My. If I find it easier and you guys like it I might write all my one shots in this sense *Don't worry they will still have the Y/N, Y/H/L, Y/E/C, Y/H/C inserts!* as everything I've ever written apart from one shots I have written in this sense and I generally get stuck trying to write in any other way unless I have an established character if that makes sense? BUT if you guys like the way I'm currently writing better then I'll stick with it! Because after all, I made this blog for you guys and I would be a horrible person if I just ignored your wishes ;) ALSO: (Sorry for the essay please stick with me for a minute lol) I HAVE REACHED 100 FOLLOWERS HOLY SHIT BALLS! I will be doing a larger giveaway when my writers block is gone, but do keep in mind, it is my sister's 16th next week (Yay!!), then the week after it's my uncle's birthday, the week after that I am going to see a live Russell Howard concert which I've been waiting for for a year, then the week after that it's my 16th and then I'll be doing the test to get my learners (Holy crap May is a busy month for me) and during all of this I am hoping to have gotten a job so me and my sister can go to the Supernatural Convention in my town on June the first and hopefully meet Misha, Matt and Richard!! (ASDJGFHLSHJDJDPAIDHSBE IF I CAN MEET THEM I WILL CRY!!) Hey guys! I'm so so sorry I haven't posted in a while :( If you follow my personal you may have already seen, but my internet has still not been fixed -.- I've managed to figure out how to get on here via my phone, but my lappy is still not co-operating and because of the length of the one shots I write and the fact I need to link stuff a lot and put in read more's, I can't just type them up on my phone otherwise I would :/ Hopefully I can get a few up soon as I have some finished, but if not I'm thinking I'll just go to a friends house and hijack their internet for a while :P I'll try and keep you updated but (Again, as you may know if you follow my personal) life has been a bit hectic, for reasons I have said and others I would prefer to keep shrouded in mystery :P So if I forget I do apologize; and for all the people with requests, and the 3 lucky people who are getting a personalized one shot I will do my best to have them up as soon as possible!!

A/N: I know it's short compared to my usual stuff but I all of a sudden got struck by inspiration and this was as long as my inspiration would hold out :P If I had of tried to make it longer I probably would have ruined it. And when I put the warning of graphic violent scenes I was serious guys, there's a lot lol
Black. Everywhere, black. You clawed at your surroundings, all wood. No light. You tried to cry out but your voice wouldn't work right. Everything hurt. Not surprising. But you were whole. That was good. You punched the wood above you as hard as you could, small particles of dirt falling to cover your frame. I have to get out. You moved your hand to above the middle of your chest and repeatedly punched the plank of wood there. Coughing as dirt fell into your mouth you desperately continued. the wood finally gave, earth filling the box you were contained within. Clawing, desperate, trying to pull yourself out. Black. No light.
You screamed as the demons pulled your skin off with their bare hands. Red everywhere. Fire, blood, you didn't know anymore, it was all just reduced to a colour and a feeling. Pain. You heard the menacing laugh of your tormentors ring throughout hell. Always the poking, prodding, stabbing and pulling. "DEAN!!!"
You finally made it out of the box. Eyes closed, you pulled yourself through the damp earth. Your lungs burned. You needed to breath. You needed to reach the light. Needed to be free of this new hell that had replaced the old. Your hand reached out and you felt nothing. Light. Sound. Earth. Nothing mattered but your deep gasping breaths as you pulled yourself out of the depths and the blue sky above you and the green grass around you. Everything was opposite to the red that had tormented you for three hundred years.
"Now now my pretty, don't cry. We'll take you down if you just accept our gracious offer." No. No. You can't. Never. You felt the sting of a blade penetrating your stomach slowly, the warmth of your blood running down your thighs highly contrasting with the familiar cold yet again spreading through your body. You opened your eyes and looked at the demon. Opening your mouth, it leaned forward to hear you better. You spat in it's face. "Never."
Water. You needed water. And Dean. Sam. Cas. Life. You tried to stand but your muscles wouldn't work properly. Looking around you saw a stream and thanked any god that existed. Crawling to the stream you drank as much as you physically could before washing your face and arms of the now sodden dirt sticking to your hair and skin. Dean. You needed Dean.
SLAP. Pain. Anger. Desperation. Red. "Be careful my pretty, or we may stop offering." Hooks pulled at your flesh and muscle. You screamed.
You were finally strong enough to stand. Hearing cars nearby you walked in the direction of what you hoped was a road. You had missed the browns and greens and blues and purples of the world. Trees, flowers, grass, ground. None of those existed in hell. You weren't sure if this was a dream or if hell was a dream, but you hoped it was the latter. You didn't think you could stand waking up in that place of death and destruction again. Finally reaching the road you heard a car coming towards you from a distance. Standing in the middle of the road you waved your arms around, hoping it would stop. It did. Running to the drivers door you saw a middle aged man and what you assumed was his wife. They looked terrified. You were sure you looked horrible, but you really needed to use their phone.
"Do you have a mobile?" You asked groggily. How long has it been since I spoke? You wondered.
"Yeah sure, here. What happened to you?" The man asked, concern in his voice. He handed you the phone and you were ecstatic to see reception bars.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." You chuckled. You keyed in Dean's number and pressed the call button, praying to god he would answer.
"Who is this?" A deep voice demanded.
"Dean? It's me. Oh it is so good to hear your voice!" You exclaimed.
"This isn't funny."
"Dean please, it's really me. I swear. It's Y/N! I need to see you guys, where are you?"
"Y/N?"
"Yes! Please, I need you to come get me, I don't know where I am,"
"What's around you?"
"When I woke up there was a river," You explained, "I was in a forest."
"I'll be there in an hour." He said.
"Thank you." You hung up. You thanked the man and woman and gave back their phone after deleting Dean's number. After you declining a ride from them they drove off and you waited by the side of the road.
You finally heard the revving of the impala. The black beauty appearing in the distance almost made you cry with happiness. Life. It pulled to a stop in front of you, Dean slowly disentangled his large frame from the leather upholstery, music blaring from inside your personal heaven. You were frozen in place for a minute. But then you launched yourself at him, hugging him as tightly as physically possible in your condition. He gingerly hugged you back. Knowing what was running through his mind you reluctantly pulled yourself away and held out your arm. Grabbing the demon knife from his jacket you slowly made a cut, flashing back to the millions of times this had been forcefully done to you. You hyperventillated a little but pressed on in the task of proving yourself. You then grabbed the flask of holy water, splashed some on yourself, poured salt on your arm and cut yourself again with a silver knife for good measure before looking deep into the emerald eyes of the man you loved. He stared at you for a moment, his jaw agape, before pulling you to him in a bear hug, his head buried in your shoulder. You hugged back just as fiercely, tears finally welling in your eyes.
"Let's go home."
You arrived at a very odd place. Desolate, nothing but a metal door covered in rust.
"Where are we?" You asked.
"Our new home." Dean replied, opening the door for you. You gasped. Walking inside you saw a magnificent library, weapons everywhere. And in the middle was Sam. He looked up and stopped dead, all movement ceasing. You couldn't even see him breathing.
"Hiya Sammy." You said, a grin forming on your face. He stayed silent for such a long time your smile faded. "Sam?" You didn't know what to do. He eventually stood up, walking towards you. When he reached you, towering above your small frame, he again paused. Then he bent and hugged you, lifting you up in the process. You wrapped your legs around his waist, your arms winding around his neck.
"Is it really you?" He finally mumbled.
"Yeah, it's really me. I'm back!" You laughed exuberantly, waiting to be let down.
"Thank god!"
"So what's happened in the three years I've been gone guys? And where's Cas?"
A few hours later you were fed, informed and content. Snuggled into Dean's chest on the couch watching a movie with Sam, you were finally at peace. Until Sam went to bed.
"Y/N... I know what it's like down there... How time works... You were in the pit for three hundred years..." He mumbled.
"I know." Was all you could reply.
"How? How are you so ok?" Dean was looking into your eyes.
"I don't know. Life, earth, is everything I don't associate with hell. As long as I don't see too much red I think I'll be fine," You chuckled.
"What happened down there?" He asked slowly. It was almost as if the words were being pulled from him. You sighed.
"Everything."
A new tormentor was with you today. But it wasn't a demon. "Why won't you just say yes?" She asked. Pain. Hot. Burning. Screaming. "Because I can't." You felt it slice open your chest, peeling back the skin to prod at your beating heart. "Why? This isn't a bad thing, it's fun." You felt a lung being ripped. But you refused to scream again. "That's why. It isn't fun unless you are becoming less human. And I will never, EVER, be a demon." You spat the words at the girl. But she just grinned. "More fun for me then." You felt the chains holding your arms and legs begin to tighten. Slowly you felt yourself being ripped apart until you couldn't handle it anymore. Red. Blood. Pain. You screamed.
"I didn't give in Dean. I didn't give up." You whispered, pulling him close. He held you as close as possible without pain.
"What do you mean?"
"Every day after the first hundred years they came and said I would be pulled down if I strung others up. Every single day. They wanted me to be a demon. But I said no. I didn't give in." A tear trickled down your cheek. You felt Dean wipe it away with his thumb before gently kissing you.

Your head snapped back from the blow the demon had dealt you. You stumbled back, reeling from the punch. Your jaw felt dislocated.
Great, You thought to yourself, Just what I need. This would be a good time for Sam and Dean to pop up. Seriously.
You shrugged and grinned before landing a flurry of punches, knocking the demon back long enough for you to push your jaw relatively into place. Sorry whatever your name is, demons take a toll on their meat suits. You felt bad for the girl this dick was possessing but there was nothing you could do. I need to exorcise this one quickly. You took off at a sprint, out of the door of the barn and around the corner. Hearing the demon chasing you you smiled to yourself.
"I'm going to tear you apart!" She screamed after you.
"Only if you can catch me!" You laughed, sprinting behind the church and in the back door. You heard the demon scream behind you and stopped, turning around to face her. Thank god, she actually fell for it. The demon stood in front of you, glaring. If looks could kill you'd be a pile of ashes on the ground right now. You were lucky you had thought ahead enough to draw a devils trap, instead of just barging right in like you normally would. But then again you normally had the boys with you, taking precautions was a good idea if you didn't know whether they would show.
"Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus." You began.
"I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" The demon screamed, struggling against the walls of her own personal cage.
"Omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversii!" Raising your voice you continued the exorcism, grinning at her.
"And then I'm gonna kill those boys of yours, the Winchesters! I'm going to drag them all straight back to HELL!" She laughed.
"Omnis congregatio et secta diabolica, draco maledicte ecclesiam tuam!" The demons eyes turned black and she started coughing, falling to her knees.
"Secura tibi facias libertate servire! TE ROGAMUS, AUDI NOS!!" Her head fell back and she screamed, black smoke spewing from her mouth to zip about inside the devils trap for a split second before it rushed into the ground as the last tendrils of evil were pulled from the girl who fell to the ground, unmoving. You rushed over to her side to check for a pulse. Faint but there, and she was breathing shallowly. Pulling her arm around your shoulder, you grabbed under her knees and carefully stood with her. You were lucky you were strong or you weren't sure what you would have done. You strode out to your car, placing the girl in the back seat and drove to the hospital.
"Help her!" You shouted at the hospital staff as they clustered around you.
"What happened?" A man asked, jogging towards you with a bed being pushed up behind him.
"I found her on the side of the road," You lied, "I don't know what happened."
"Ok get her on the bed quickly, her heart rate is slowing!" The doctor ordered. Quickly complying, you stood back as she was wheeled away. Turning to leave you felt a hand stop you.
"We aren't allowed to let people leave in circumstances like this ma'am." A terse woman told you.
"I'm sorry I have to leave, I have a very sick brother and I need to go help him. Here, take my number and my licence plate, if there's any trouble you can call." You quickly scribbled some numbers on the back of your fake FBI business card and gave it to the woman. When she saw you were FBI she ceased her complaints and nodded for you to go. It was so handy having those. Remember to make some more. Getting back in the car you drove to the bunker, Metallica blaring through the speakers.
When you arrived you slammed the door behind you, ready to yell at those two boys for not showing. But something that demon had said was bugging you. She didn't say both when referring to the Winchesters, she said all. I wonder what she meant. Hearing Sam and Dean talking quietly in the library you stormed in.
"So much for helping me with that demon guys!"
"Listen, we had a problem-" Dean started but you cut him off.
"Oh, YOU had a problem? Well let me tell you what problem I had Dean. First, I got in a fist fight with the bitch. Then, she dislocated my jaw. I got chased at full speed for 10 minutes before she finally ran into the devils trap that I almost didn't draw because I was told you two would actually SHOW UP, and then I had to try and remember the exorcism properly so I could send her back to hell. After that, I had to carry the unconscious body of the poor girl to my car by myself, speed my way to the nearest hospital to save her, and almost got told I couldn't leave, I wouldn't even be here if I hadn't had the good fortune to have one of my FBI business cards with me. So tell me, what was YOUR problem?!" By the end you were roaring. The brothers were a little stunned, you had never yelled at them before. Granted you'd never really had reason, but still. Being a generally quiet person you supposed your anger instead of the logical arguments you usually used in situations like these could come as quite the shock.
"Well..." Sam rubbed the back of his head.
"Uh..." Dean was looking anywhere but at you.
"What?!" You finally snapped after an uncomfortable silence.
"Y/N?" A voice said from behind you. No, that's not real. He's not real. Your back had stiffened. Closing your eyes you lowered your head and pressed your index fingers to each temple. He's not really here, don't even hope he is.
"Y/N...?" Dean mumbled, quietly walking towards you. Rubbing your forehead you looked up at him. He gently turned you around, a gasp tearing through your lips.
"Adam?!" You whispered. He grinned and ran down the stairs, dropping the towel he had been using to dry his hair and lifting you up in a hug. You hugged him back fiercely, his sandy wet hair gripped tightly in your fingers. When you finally released each other you grinned at him.
"How?!" You asked.
"I don't know. I woke up, Castiel was there. He brought me here." Adam shrugged. When the whole Michael and Lucifer thing had happened you had met him and grown close. Trying everything to get him back and failing after he was thrown in the pit you thought you would never see him again.
"We're trying to figure out what happened now." Sam told you.
"Screw how." You mumbled, grabbing Adam behind the neck and pulling him down into a loving kiss. His hand landed on your cheek, your hair sliding through his fingers as his other arm wrapped around your lower back. You stayed like that until you heard Dean clear his throat behind you and Adam pulled away, a blush colouring his cheeks.
"Well that was unexpected." Dean muttered to Sam, turning around to grab a beer.
"Are we forgiven?" Sam asked, trying to hide his smirk.
"That depends," You replied.
"On?"
"Whether or not you promise to never do it again, idjits." You grinned.
"Sure." Sam smiled.
It had been a few weeks. Adam was staying in your room. But it hadn't slipped your notice that he never slept, and if he did he would toss and turn, moaning in fear and pain before he sat bolt upright, panting, his blue eyes always filled with sorrow. He didn't know you woke whenever he fell asleep, so he didn't know you had seen him like that. Until one night where it got so bad he yelled before waking, and saw you sitting cross legged on the bed next to him.
"I'm sorry babe. Did I wake you up?" He asked numbly, fumbling for the glass of water he kept on the nightstand.
"You remember, don't you?" You said quietly. He was silent. Pulling him into a hug you kissed his cheek. "You can tell me."
"Yes." He brokenly whimpered, his head burying itself in your shoulder. You stroked his hair and rocked him back and forth as he sobbed.
"Shh... Sh sh sh... It's ok... It'll get better." You whispered.
"How do you know?" He asked.
"Because Sam remembers too." He stiffened when you told him this. His watery blue eyes gazed into yours, his mouth slightly agape.
"How did he get over it?"
"It took time... You have to push it out of your mind baby, you can't keep going like this."
"How?" He mumbled, wiping his eyes.
"Come on, lie down." You carefully got under the covers next to him, leaning against the bed head so you were sitting up and pulled him until he laid down next to you with his head in your lap. "Just sleep hun. It'll all be ok." You told him, stroking his hair. You softly began humming the tune to "Carry On My Wayward Son" by Kansas. He shifted until he was comfortable, holding your thigh with his left hand just under where his head lay.
"Carry on my wayward son," You started quietly, "There'll be peace when you are done. Lay your weary head to rest, don't you cry no more."
"I've never heard you sing before...' Adam mumbled sleepily.
"That's cause I don't sing in front of people." You giggled.
"But you're singing for me?"
"Of course." You leant down to kiss the top of his head before singing again. You didn't know any actual lullabies so Kansas would have to do. Besides, it suited him.
"Once I rose above the noise and confusion, just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion, I was soaring ever higher, but I flew too high. Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man, though my mind could think I still was a mad man, I hear the voices when I'm dreaming, I can hear them say! Carry on my wayward son, there'll be peace when you are done. Lay your weary head to rest, don't you cry no more." As the last note rung out through your silent bedroom you felt that Adam's breathing had evened out and he was fast asleep. He hadn't slept that peacefully in weeks.
