Sonic very much makes his own luck and doesn't believe in fate or destiny or what have you. That being said, he always count his blessings when it comes to things like close calls, for him and his friends.

Emra believes in luck to a degree, and she does carry a good luck charm around with her. Of course, similar to Sonic, she also believes that fate or destiny is what the individual makes of it, not that it rules them.
