After months of waiting, were entering the tomb of Nefertari. I guarantee this will be the greatest escape room in New Mexico. Super hyped (at Albuquerque, New Mexico)

Forgot to post my after photo from yesterday. Why post a gross ass sweaty Stu? Simply to pester @madimuffin who never fails to he grossed out (at Invictus Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai Academy)
I'm in the mood for a sappy sentimental piece. So Sunday being a 13 hour work day with no real break, I didn't make time to call my pop. With today's busy schedule I again didn't make a call. I didn't really celebrate Father's Day that well, so I'll make it up with a story. A story I know he'll hate but it means a lot to me. Back in my late middle school/early high school days, I was fascinated with a teacher. He encouraged me to think differently, was off beat, and was a big help in my push to being weird. Having never met someone like that, I talked about him all the time. Enough so that it got on my Dad's nerves. My mom said he was probably jealous as a dad who has to constantly hear how much cooler another male figure in my life was every night at dinner. And you know, that's fair. I'm still great friends with that teacher and his family. But I feel while I didn't quite appreciate my father in my early years, each day as I grow older, balder, and grumpier, I really begin to be thankful for everything he is. I couldn't have been happier to end up with the Santa dad. Hell, I've tried following in his footsteps. Not only in literally trying to be a santa (my time will come, I'm not worried), but in being badass. My dad is a ridiculous sharpshooter. From .22's to full hunting rifles, he's taken out his prey hundreds of yards away right between the eyes. For me, my idea of 'badass' is Jiu-Jitsu. I don't know if I'll ever achieve the equivalent of 'right between the eyes', but it's exciting to go out there and achieve something so difficult and fulfilling. My father never once cared for wrestling, but he's genuinely happy to hear my efforts on the mat. When shopping for a rash guard, I was hoping for a really cool one, maybe some nerdy super hero reference or whatever, but I saw this Christmas one on clearance, and it was done. I don't know if I'll ever compete in Jiu-Jitsu, I hope to, but I always fly the family colors. I admire my father and while I try to set my own path, being able to follow in his footsteps in my own weird way has been one of my absolute favorite parts of being an adult. Not a day goes by that I'm not grateful as hell to call him pop. (at Albuquerque, New Mexico)
I have a great taste for art. Caravaggio, Bernini, all sorts. But this is the great piece of art to exist. An airbrush of my pops in his youthful days slayin sharks. A happy father's day to all the dads! (at Cut Bank, Montana)
Forgot to mention this but I had to get a physical at the plasma center and they had to ask some special questions concerning my weight. Since a year ago, I had lost almost twenty pounds and they were curious how that happened. Happy to say living a healthier life is yielding at least some results. Hope to keep it up! Realized you haven't been treated to an #OCharley pic in quite a while, so here's a studmuffin. (at Albuquerque, New Mexico)
Co-worker brought in candy to work, including these. They were my mom's absolute favorite candy. Just a pleasant moment of reflection. (at Albuquerque, New Mexico)
"Hi I'm trying to get details on my income based repayment pl-" "I need you ticket first, sir" "Ticket? I'm trying to figure out my student loans" "That's good enough. You ready for the ride?" "What ride?" "The ride through hell I'm about to drag you through. Nvm too late have fuuuuuun~~~~~!" (at Albuquerque, New Mexico)
