Sorry for my absence, I’ve been working my butt off on this project for uni with @belkovich. This is our teaser poster and we’re making a fictional movie end credits sequence based on Dragon Age Origins. We’re in the middle of compositing right now and super excited to share it when it’s done!

Rendering, texture and pattern testing
HBO’s Carnivàle opening credits sequence is one of our main inspirations for our project, as it shows strong transitions between shots as it plays with layers and a 3D plane.

Since our approach is very illustrative, we aim to have simple animations that are pleasing to the eye. Between transitions, we want to have slow animation of some sort. This is an example the effect we would like to achieve.
