lately...
lately my emotions have been so unpredictable along with my hunger, been through the roof. lately I’ve been questioning my responsibility to those who I call friends and how I’ve defining myself as a friend. lately, I’ve been realizing how unfocused and uninterested I’ve been in being goal-oriented. lately I’ve been trying to pull myself towards more joy. lately I’ve been trying to rely on my own resolve but honestly think i appreciate and really need the support and check-ins from friends/family. lately, i have been trying to find my why(s). lately I’ve realized there is noting I am behind on and feel unheard in. lately i am focused on moving with urgency as best as I can. it’s a process, I guess. 🌱

Alla dis! Periodt. The Aquarius reading hit me in my gut. Something yesterday confirmed this, so it’s scary accurate. Not only may I add ‘can Aquarius folks stop themselves from feeling intense/deep emotions because they fear its anxiety’ but also Aquarius can feel incredibly insecure of those emotions. The ability to not trust that you can survive the emotions/ride of those emotions is what leaves one to dissociate so often. You’re overwhelmed. Literally physically engulfed with the feeling of those emotions. But they’re energy in motion so of course you’re feeling hot. They all gotta go somewhere, right?
Anyway — point being that this Aquarius/Scorpio esque boi is rather slowly taking it day by day. Learning to speak up and do something that scares her. She’s learning, growing and freeing her wings and opening her eyes, bit by bit.

It’s Monday. Reminders as you start your week, my loves.
- Take 5 minutes and sit somewhere quiet. Close your eyes. Breathe deeply. - Stretch. It’s good for your body and mind. This can be a 30 minute yoga session, or a simple 30 second roll-your-neck kind of stretch. - Take a walk outside. Look at the leaves. Appreciate the cute houses. Appreciate the cracks in the sidewalk. Look at the sky. - Drink water. It’s okay of you can’t make your 6-8 glasses a day. Just do what you can. - Veggies and fruits are your friend. - Don’t feel guilty if you didn’t exercise this weekend, or if you ate garbage. That’s alright. It’s a new day. And we all deserve to indulge on occasion. - Money is just money. You can’t take it with you. Be responsible with it, but spend it on that little thing that catches your eye on occasion. - Most importantly: we all feel lost and inadequate at one time or another. These feelings are fluid, and you are not alone. They will pass. They will rise and fall like hills and valleys. But you are important, and unique, and I LOVE THE HECK OUT OF YOU.

10 Ways to Simplify Life
1. Don’t try to read other peoples’ minds and don’t expect others to be able to read yours. Communicate if it is important to you.
2. Don’t expect to be friends with everyone. We all are different – and we all like different things. Instead, invest your time in a few good friends. That’s all you really need to feel happy and fulfilled.
3. Create a budget and live within your means. Accruing debt will only cause you to feel stressed.
4. Get rid of the monster of jealousy – and only compare yourself with yourself.
5. Organize your clutter and get rid of some stuff. It will leave you feeling calmer, and will save you lots of time!
6. Stay on the sidelines and don’t get drawn into pointless dramas in other peoples’ lives (unless it’s a crisis – and you know you ought to help).
7. Finish what you’ve started - and then do something else.
8. Treat every person you meet with respect, and err on the side of being patient and kind.
9. Accept there are things that you can’t change or control – and focus on those things that you can change or control.
10. Don’t be too proud to apologise. Admit that you were wrong, then say you’re sorry, and move on.

July 4th, 2018 | fit that had me liberated 🖤 / ever since cutting my hair (July 1st) I’ve been feeling freer and am much more confident in my inner world. what’s my mantra right now? focus on what feels right, let go what doesn’t 💡
Being More Mindful:
Go to sleep earlier (Listen to ambient music to fall asleep faster(or things like the Calm app)
Wake up earlier (Put your alarm far away from the bed so you have to get up and turn it off)
Don’t go on your phone first thing in the morning
Tell yourself that it’s going to be a good day
Stretch for 5 minutes
Make your bed
Drink a glass of water (Personally, I like to keep a litre of water in my room so i can have it as soon as I wake up)
Lay clothes out on the bed(Or, go one step further and set the clothes out at night)
Go shower or brush your teeth and wash your face if you shower at night
Put lotion on, put clothes on and apply makeup/do your hair as per normal
Watch a 5-10 minute motivational video (Youtube has Inspirational channels, Ted Talks etc)
Eat breakfast(Smaller bites, appreciate the taste), and drink more water and plan your day
Make your lunch
Now, if you have extra time you can look at your phone and scroll through social media a bi before you leave the house
Look for beauty around you, in the smiles of people, their fashion, flowers, architecture, interior decorating. Try to take in as much as you can.
Look up from your phone(Delete the apps you don’t need. Be honest about what apps waste your time)
Make it a goal to make someone’s day better, whether it’s by buying a homeless person a meal, or by smiling genuinely at someone. Brighten someone’s day.
If you have extra time, write a journal entry for the day. Write about what you noticed in the world, your goals, your feelings, what excites you etc. Write about your thoughts, let them flow through you.
Carry a book around with you and read it when you find yourself doing nothing.
Notice how much time you spend on your phone or laptop. Try to replace some time that you spend on silly things with educational things. (Read the news rather than scrolling through memes for an hour, read a motivational book rather than toxic tweets)
Learn.Learn.Learn. If you haven’t heard of something, ask what it is. Ask people to teach you how they do whatever it is they do. Don’t settle for no answer. Dig deeper. Learn.
When you learn something, try to see if you can explain it to someone else. If you can’t, try to learn a little more.
Be nicer to people. Ask them how they are, listen to their stories, learn who they are. You’d be surprised at all the interesting, educational stories that people all around you have.
Go outside every day. Enjoy nature.
Appreciate who you are and where your life is at. Appreciate that not everything happens perfectly or as planned.
Appreciate that you can learn anything if you put your mind to it,
Spread positive feelings.
Cut off anyone who threatens your positive vibes.
and this made me feel better mentally/emotionally because it’s been a low and trying day for me.
