I wanted to play a relaxing, wholesome family, and remembered about this save - I haven't played with them since 2021. It's the second/third generation of Grisby family in Riverview. Laurel, her husband Hal (Breckenridge), their two daughters and a dog. The third child is on the way, they want a boy.

apparently I've never posted this family here?

I use DXVK now, so no reshade, no pretty pictures. It was stressing me out anyway, I fiddled with settings endlessly, instead of playing.

I finally fixed the lag in ts3. I deleted some buggy maternity clothes that were slowing things down for some reason, but, more importantly, I switched to using CC Magic. I know, I know, everyone and their dog have been using it for ages, but I couldn't be bothered. Well, it's literally a game-changer. The difference in FPS before and after is insane. I don't know why I didn't try it sooner.

Florence Delarosa was… incredibly boring. All she ever wants to do is: throw a party - meet a new sim - make a friend, throw a party - meet a new sim - make a friend, throw a party - meet a new sim - make a friend… You get the point.

I'm afraid there won't be a Delarosa baby, because she's already middle-aged, and with reduced fertility from the ACR it's not gonna happen just from risky woohoo. I feel like I'm making the game more boring for myself by playing strictly wants-based, but playing any other way feels like cheating. Which is stupid, I know.

Anyway, she got drunk and tried to hit on a random (straight) woman, which happened in the last two seconds of the party, plummeting its score from good to a complete failure. That was the only fun thing in the entire rotation.

Harmony is now toddler, and she's a cutie.

Webster (the dog) is the main breadwinner of the family. His recent bonuses in showbiz career reached ~15k simoleons - before that, the family savings were only around 3k.

idk why I like this family so much. By all accounts, they should be boring, but they're not.

Wanda wants to have another kid, but she might be too old to conceive. Maybe they'll adopt the next rotation, but I kinda want Stephen to roll this want too. For now, he rolls only the fear of having a baby, lol.

Anyway, during that useless "date", Malcolm rolled a want to marry this random ass dormie named Chatarina Kong, with whom he had almost no chemistry. Since I was in IDGAF mood, the wish was granted.

They got married in the church of Holy Plumpig, because I didn't want to build a new wedding location for Pleasantview.

In my mind, Malcolm is a creepy, entitled guy who wants to have many children with different women purely to "ensure the Landgraab legacy continues." That's why a poor student who quits college for him and becomes dependent on him would be perfect for a man like Malcolm.
