aerion being the only person daeron is comfortable falling asleep next to. just hear me out on this please. we know that daeron is prone to passing out anywhere and everywhere but that's all that is, he's passing out. he's not looking for a comfortable ditch by the side of the road or an empty, relatively clean table to fall asleep on, he literally faints from the alcohol he consumed. however, when he does consciously choose to sleep, he doesn't like being alone because that means he's going to be alone when he wakes up, but he also doesn't like sleeping around other people because he doesn't know what his dream is going to be about and how he's going to act when he wakes. the only exception, the only person he can sleep next to/in the same room with is aerion. when they were children they spent most nights in each other's bed, either because aerion was scared of the dark or because of daeron's dreams. as their siblings were born and time passed they grew up and apart; those two little children who spent countless nights huddled under the same blanket didn't exist anymore. and yet, whenever daeron's dreams get particularly bad but he physically can't put off sleeping anymore, aerion won't say anything when daeron appears in his bedchamber just scoot over to make room for him, both of them will go to sleep in silence and won't talk about in the morning
