Dumbasses will talk about how "Penelope did nothing in the poem" and act as if they're not the misogynists

Something that is not only hilarious when the poem is 70% Ithaca and half of it has Penelope in it.

This desire of attributing physical action to "doing something something" while more mental/wit based is seen as doing nothing is quite strange.

Even more so, Penelope does more than just the shroud. She administers a household and the kingdom she rules. She also weaves and hosts the Suitors, goes to them, tells them to shut up, deceives them, etc... Also, raising a son too.

And she also cries, has active hate to anything related to the Trojan war outcome as Odysseus is not there with her, is emotionally vulnurable, cares for Telemachus, also has dreams too while trying to evade going to her father's house and have another husband to wed.

Penelope does way more stuff than even, we, give credit her for without erasing an integral part of her character.

Penelope is as complex as Odysseus and amy other man in the poem and we sadly, don't see that reflected.
