After much thought and hesitation, I’ve decided to share a tragic event that has recently struck our family and continues to weigh heavily on us.

Honestly, it pains me to admit that our lives have become so pitiful, that we are now in desperate need of others' help. But this is, unfortunately, the reality we’re living💔.

My husband has been injured when one of the nearby tents was bombed. The incident almost cost him his life, were it not for God’s mercy❤️. The injury is in his leg, and while the doctors performed surgery with the limited resources available in the hospitals, they had to insert a metal plate in his leg. Sadly, the surgery was unsuccessful, and now he requires another operation.

His injury has taken a severe toll on his mental state, leaving him deeply distressed, while the burden of providing for the family and children has fallen entirely on me. The financial strain has become unbearable, as we struggle to afford the medication and painkillers he desperately needs, which are incredibly expensive.

I don’t know what the future holds for us. Since the start of the war, we have faced loss after loss. We’ve lost our lives as we knew them, our safety, our stability, our homes, and our livelihood. And now, I fear my husband may lose his leg if he doesn’t receive the surgery in time.

I can’t help but wonder—what more could life possibly take from us?

Oh, the feeling… how terrifying it is. No future… no life. Every dawn, I wake up to hear something being destroyed. The sound of explosions—of course, we've become experts by now—loud, massive explosions that carry meaning. I can hear entire buildings collapsing together, not just a room, not just a window, not just a wall—buildings.

Can you imagine? The pain of it all… An entire country shouldn’t have been lost like this. Do you realize there’s no longer anything called Gaza? The Gaza Strip is gone—erased. How does an entire place, a whole land, just vanish? What kind of price are we paying, and for what? Why are we enduring this? There’s no justification for this destruction of humanity—none at all.

Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel… God is enough for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. No one has had their homeland wiped off the map before, while those watching from their screens justify this as "resistance" or excuse the betrayal and failure of nations. They, of all people, should feel shame for their failures—their own and those of their leaders and people.

Hello! I'm making this post to draw your attention to an important fundraiser. Eman is currently displaced with her children in Gaza, and is struggling to provide them with clean drinking water or food.

Despite the profound difficulties she is experiencing, Eman nevertheless dedicates a lot of her time to translating the campaigns of others in Gaza into English. She does this for Mohamed @moayesh, who helps run @gaza-evacuation-funds. She is the reason we are able to read the stories of the people spotlighted on this blog- if it weren't for her, a lot of people would be struggling a lot more to get traction and attention for their campaigns.

Eman was once an aid worker, but her livelihood was destroyed after October 7th. She initially started this fundraiser to evacuate with her children, but she was forced to use the money she had raised on her family's multiple displacements.

I humbly implore you to donate to her so that she can afford to provide for her children's basic needs. They are living without proper shelter, or regular access to safe food and drink.
