sharing it here that I am currently on volume 29 of my read through of Bleach... and now I hear something for the end of the anime will be in theaters June 25 ... I will somehow finish the Manga series and watch the thousand year blood war and be THERE ON JUNE 25 !!!!

a little over 25% into jade City by fonda Lee and wow ... if yall dont mind I'm just add my notes down here

• Bero~ seems like an interesting character compared to the other ones. I think it can add a much different perspective to the society we are building a picture of in janloon. Excited ti see where this goes if he stays in the story

• Hilo~ seems like the cool character every story has and I love those characters. Seems like there's more to the rough and reckless picture everyone else is painting of him

• Lan~ not just an interesting character but I love that he has this moral compass while still being the leader of a clan. Excited to see how that continues to play out. Very interesting character to put in these circumstances

• Shae~ I feel like she's going to be a favorite. Again feels like her character gives us or is going to give us a completely separate perspective on the whole situation

• Anden~ really excited for this one. Feels like he might be the Matsuda(sword of kaigen) of the story hopefully not completely tho

• World and magic is so interesting already and love that they added a consequence to the use of the magic. I'm excited for the book to dive deeper into those complexities

• I already knew I loved political fantasy but this is making me realize I might NEED a strong political presence in my fantasy. I feel like separate from any plot that can form I can just read about the politics of this world for the whole series and it would be great

• I'm honestly excited for whatever this book gives me. The writing is amazing too so I'm just enjoying this for what it is so far

keep thinking about how I wrote in my dissertation about how every time a new form of public/social space emerges it's immediately popular with kids and teenagers who see it as a chance at freedom and then adults colonise it and kick them out. this happened with malls in the 80s and diners in the 50s and pool halls in the 20s. my dad was doing research on this trend in like 1975. and I was like "yeah so this is going to happen to the internet" and then five years later every government suddenly decided to ban kids from everywhere online. I hate being right especially when I don't even get paid for it

reading the last line of this book filled me with so much adrenaline from how so fucking cool it is I felt like I could punch a hole in the wall and tear it down with my bear hands. This book makes me question why I don’t own a sword and train with my free time. This is a book you listen to at the gym and you will have the gains of a life time. What else do I need to say??? Tau Solarin is HIM 🫡🙌⚔️ do you understand????? Also I’m not suppose to buy another book until after the 75 booked challenge but fuck that u need the second book. It won’t be the main book I’m reading but I’ll take my time with I just need to stay in this world and this story. I need an update on Tau. I need to know who’s still alive and how they’re doing.
