Coming Back Isn't Against My Aesthetic (Open/Re-Intro)
"It ain’t too terribly far, maybe about an hour to get there. You got any questions about the city, I’ll try my best to answer - can’t make any promises about how accurate they are, though. I haven’t been here for a few months."
"The city’s pretty big, I was thrown off by the layout at first, too. Takes a little bit of gettin’ used to, but once you got it figured it, it’s pretty simple." Even if time consuming to make a commute. But, the walking gave her a much needed way to stretch out those limbs of her’s, and get her back to walking everywhere. Even if it was normal for her, it still had bonuses when she knew the ground she was stepping on.
Emerald blinks. “Months?”
“What did they do? Just send you back home?”
As she walks Emerald takes in her surroundings. Hopefully she remembers enough of it to not get lost next time. It shouldn’t be too big of a deal if they’re walking in a straight line to get where they’re going.
Even if that straight line happens to be an hour long.
“I know there’s districts and sectors and that they’re all distinct, but I haven’t figured out what is next to what just yet.” Emerald pauses and takes another glance around for good measure.
It occurs to her to ask something that’s been on her mind recently.
“Is there anyway to know if friends have arrived or...?”
She’s perfectly capable of handling herself, but it would be a lie to say that she doesn’t wonder about Cinder and Mercury. Roman too, she supposes, if only because he’s her boss and he’s not going to be happy when she gets back.
