i have a drawing request……… i really liked your The Ray can you draw him more please 🤩
i keep forgetting aboht my asks but i happened to draw him so everybody tell ray hi
Okay, I do have one more Ray thought left in me.
Of course this could never happen because the current continuity has thrown everything off, but if someone handed me the opportunity to write a Ray book, I'd give them a follow-up to the 1994 series, several years after, and it would be about how Ray in his early twenties is dealing with a frustrating computer job, trying to figure out a relationship with a mom who completely missed out on his entire childhood, and having to be an almost parental figure toward Joshua, who in turn is struggling with adjusting to a confusing new decade (he went straight from 1954 to 1995, that's a big cultural jump), wanting to see his dad although Ray refuses to allow it, and processing some disturbing memories that are starting to resurface.
Oh, and the refrigerator keeps breaking down. And that's just the start of it. There would be time travel shenanigans, more shocking family secrets, the return of the Light Entity (and its offspring), guest appearances from old friends and colleagues, a low-key but thoughtful exploration of the Terrills' relationships with their faith, family therapy scenes that get out of hand, and follow-up on a lot of the threads left dangling in the previous series.
Zero audience for this, but it would be so fun to play with.
Instead of the unsolicited letters to Dinah as a narration device (as in the 1994 series), Ray's narration would be him oversharing in confession to a deeply confused but increasingly invested priest.
Joshua's narration in the B plot would be unsent letters to his father.
Joshua Terrill always wears his Spitfire costume. Always. It's what he was wearing when his father froze him. He wears it consistently after he breaks containment, even when he's powered down.
(The Ray 1994 #18)
Even in flashbacks to his childhood in the 1950s, he's always in costume--we only see him in situations where he is using his powers.
(The Ray 1994 #18, 28)
Does he even have anything else to wear?
