I haven’t really seen anyone talk about how impressive Elijah Wood’s accent is in Lord of the Rings, ESPECIALLY considering how young he was, too - wasn’t he like 19/20? Because I was discussing with my sister’s friend this phenomenon of how Elijah and Daniel Radcliffe keep getting mistaken for each other, and how I don’t see much resemblance. She then said: “I think it’s because they’re both blue-eyed and little and English.” Then when I told her that Elijah is American, her reaction was “WHAT.”

And it’s not just Elijah, either - I just learned that Sean Astin and Viggo Mortensen are American too! AMAZING FAKE ACCENTS, ESPECIALLY SEAN. I WAS CONVINCED HE WAS FROM DORSET OR SOMEWHERE. But the rest of the actors who aren’t English I already knew about (Liv Tyler for example), and they ALL did amazing accents.

TL;DR: If a Brit is convinced by a fake British accent, then you know it must be good. That takes SKILL.

I just love these ‘comic book’ like renderings this artist has done of Jack Sparrow. They appeal to me as an artist, the color, composition and even the comedy of them, and I loved comic books as a wee tyke, so perhaps that is why I am fascinated with the recent comic books and these cartoon illustrations.
