So i was rewatching the movie doukyuusei (classmate) and watching it again gave me the idea…
what if this is one of them retelling their love story to their children after one of them died ?
like think about it. the way the movie shows time passing is with the seasons which gives the vibe that it has happened in the past and these are just the big moments.
- the story of how they met
- the first time they seriously questioned their relationship and their loyalty to each other
the big moments. it’s rarely day to day you see the good moments and the seriously bad ones unlike other movies where it is day to day teen love.
the next bit is more of my head canons/ ideas
they grow old together and work through distance and everything else standing in their way and stay partners and best friends through it all and eventually get married and adopt a child. and some how one of them passes and to keep their memory alive the remaining father and husband tells their beautiful love story painting a picture in their children’s minds of teenage love in beautiful pastels speaking of true love that had its ups and downs but persevered anyway. the story of two opposites that attracted and became so close they exploded in beautiful memories. their children hearing their father speak of the one he loved describing him as if he were god’s perfect creature crying and recounting his beloved husband. their children can do nothing but listen to this beautiful love stories of two classmates who seemed as if they were meant to be and their summer love that lived on no matter the season. they cry together mourning and remembering their father and husband but he is not truly dead for their beautiful tale will be everlasting.
A/N: this is JUST an idea i had and it got a tad bit dramatic at the end but it’s a beautiful idea to imagine. (i hope you enjoyed it) :)
