I love to love on people. Time and time again I've made mistakes, my friends/family/ partners have made mistakes & I think it's all about intention. There's something to be said when someone royally messes up & your still willing to be there for them. Love is a funny thing...by definition it means something that is greatly pleasing to us or gives us a feeling of attachment. However MY definition of love is a verb represented in actions from the heart; which are not placed under conditions, other than it can be reciprocated. When I say I love someone, I love you with all of me, flaws & all. Love is not bound by time or by rules, it's bound by what it means to you personally. So when your my friend, lover, partner, or family & I say that I love you; I love all of you, the good with the bad, the pretty & the ugly; because I don't see there being a limit in my definition of love. If your in my life I will always fight for you & hope that you do the same no matter how bad it hurts, or how much we struggle, I don't ever give up faith. Faith in people or faith in myself. Turning 30 has me realizing how far I've come. I've been doing a lot of reflection in the past couple weeks as my 30th is approaching & I'm glad to say I am deeply grateful for every mistake & every heartbreak & every fault I've ever had because they taught me how to be better. When I've wronged someone or someone wronged me it pushed me to be better. I'm not the type of person to feel sorry for myself. I'm not ashamed of my mistakes. I'm glad I made them because I wouldn't be able to be better & change had I not acknowledged them. For every time I've fallen I've been able get back up & seek wisdom. Happiness is a state of mind & I chose to be happy for people & happy for myself. This life is so short & precious I don't want any second to go to waste knowing that I didn't at least try. I appreciate all the wisdom that has been given to me through the good times & the bad. #transformationthursday I just finished another 60 day meditation challenge that I gave myself. Learning how to quiet the mind & look within is truly eye opening. Self love is so important to create a strong mind. I always preach about staying humble & giving to others & how we all make mistakes; but what I've given myself is the most priceless gift that no one can take away from me & that gives me such a sense of security within itself. Making mistakes or being wrong or holding onto fear is a part of life...I mess up all the time, but its learning how to confront those situations that has re-instilled trust within myself. Sure I'm definitely wrong about things & sometimes I'm right, but no matter who you are someone/something will always create drama at some point for you...even look at that saying "you can be the ripest peach in the batch & someone will still hate peaches." When I'm wrong/afraid I need to look inside myself & really find & confront the source to my behavior. After all no one is going to do that for me, some people in life aren't even been brave enough to confront each other when problems arise, let alone confront themselves. It's just too easy to walk away...it's facing it that is the hard part. Facing it happens to be the most rewarding part I believe. I've learned that intention is everything & gaining perspective by seeing the humanity in all things is an important part of the journey. The best is when people try to tell you who you are, people will misunderstand you...don't listen to any of it. It's what you tell yourself that matters. If people are really important to you or you are really important to them, they will talk to you, they will work with you & they will mend with you. Let the rest of anything that doesn't make you happy go. Life is too short. Problems, people, mistakes, opportunities, fears, & successes all come & go, you may mess it up only once or it may take you a few times before you get it right but you WILL get it right. Don't ever give up, don't ever give in to the negativity/fear that comes into your head. Feed your mind love & the universe will bring it back to you. #wisdom #perspective #nevergiveup #namaste

In honor of #wcw I saw this & had to repost it. Women today have come such a long way. It's a beautiful thing to see women out there work hard at becoming whoever they want to be, whether it be a career woman, or a stay at home mom. More & more Women today are choosing the life they want to live, & supporting that is something I value very deeply. Raising women to not just to aspire to marriage, but to be someone substantial that contributes to this world is something I hope more countries will adopt. Women have been raised for years to compete against each other & tie down a man, playing house & with dolls; while men are raised to be independent & a provider, playing with big tonka trucks & male hero action figures; which has been the result of history's way of thinking. Today I see more women in control of their lives...not caring who their next boyfriend is going to be, because they are so secure in themselves that they don't need to rest their confidence in anyone else. I believe that is where the best relationships happen. Here's to the movers & the shakers, the girly girls & the tom boys, the career women & the housewife all together we making a pretty glorious bunch & I respect and love all of you. ❤️

I've been hearing of people going through tragedy, loss, heartache, & I can't help but wonder.... Why do certain things happen to people? Why is one person's life spared when another is not. Or even why isn't someone held responsible when they've caused trauma, or why did this person have to experience such devastation, I've had all sorts of prayers in my head for people lately but I feel this has a good message. As cliche as it sounds things happen to us that are out of our control...yes the way we respond determines the future but perhaps there is no right response sometimes. When you are hit with something so devastating you either react or shut down & don't always have the opportunity to think things out. All I can say is time & reflection for me has always worked out, but faith is definitely something I think worthy of mentioning. Faith that you were saved for a reason, you were hurt for a reason, you were lost for a reason or made that mistake for a reason. I lost my father along with two of my best friends all within a year & a half, & those situations shook my entire world. But...in time I found peace. It was after those hardest of times that I made decisions that affected my inner core (good & bad). I made bucket lists, traveled, opened myself to new experiences, even closed myself back up at times, literally would stare at myself in the mirror telling myself I deserved to be loved, to be happy & that one day I would be. I wanted to live on for the ones I lost & make them proud, to push through the moments of trauma or guilt or loss or shame or failures or even fears, & not just see but feel the warmth of the light at the end of the tunnel. I believed that there was something better out there for me & that I was going to learn something from it & keep growing. Point being, I had faith that it would all work out. I had faith in myself no matter what the situation. If you are going through a tough time I am praying for you & I pray that you pray for yourself, however that may be. There are so many questions we aren't capable of answering in the moment. I hope you find peace. ☺️❤️ #latenightthoughts #namaste #wealldeservepeace

BBQ chicken breast seasoned with garlic, pepper, paprika, a little bit of parmesan, fresh basil, & a couple drops of low sodium bbq sauce mixed with water to create a marinade; bake in the over at 350 for 25-30 min. Pan grilled veggies {zucchini, yellow squash, red bell pepper, yellow onion, asparagus, & mushrooms} in coconut oil, seasoned with garlic, pepper, green onion, & a little red wine. Made extra of everything for #lunch tomorrow! We were given two ears & one mouth for a reason. I'm learning to talk less & listen more, to assume less & to accept more. Sometimes all a person needs is someone who will listen, not fix their whole world. Sometimes brutal honesty can do more harm then good towards someone, & deter them from making their own mistakes & finding their own path. The more I listen, the more Im learning to be patient & let things unfold as they should.
