hello hello back again for ask round 2 <3 first off thanks so much for taking the time to write a detailed answer omg!

incredible list of books, I am a big fan of reading and will always prefer physical to digital lit, esp when it comes to the occult/magic/etc... I find online it's a bit of a cesspool of misinformation unfortunately. I adoreeeeee ozzy and page, but I sort of had an inverse introduction; I was first interested in weird/paranormal/dark history (possibly my longest consistent interest! first memory I have of that sort of thing is reading loads of books on ghosts and witchcraft and odd religious sects when I was 7 or something........). It wasn't until I was a bit older (9-12 I want to say? start 'em young) that I got into rock music and the epiphany I had when I realized there was music about all the weird shit I was into was an absolutely euphoric experience! absolutely sick that he's in o.t.o.! I confess I am a bit jealous.

in the household I grew up in I was lucky enough to be the child of a mother fascinated by eastern philosophy/spiritual practices/divination/astrology/hypnosis/etc so it's an environment I was sort of raised in! I'm so sorry things like that are also marked by a period of bad mental health, I find such associations can be difficult to dispel. may fulfillment and goodwill come your way <3

yes I do mean kenneth anger! the jacket is sooooooo gorgeous omg. I love the versatility of the film's visual motifs, and I find anger is a master of composition in general. I once read some film scholarship saying he effectively pioneered the music video, which I think is fascinating - esp given the involvement of page, jagger, faithfull, etc. in lucifer rising. I second the holy mountain comparison! iirc jodorowsky was at many of the parties/events surrounding the production and promotion of lucifer rising. I find it fascinating how often people with similar art wind up in proximity with one another; wilde (another friend of crowley's!) and stoker's uni friendship and the yardbirds' insane lineup are some of my favorite examples of this. beausoleil is such an interesting figure, I couldn't agree more. out of curiosity, if you've heard all 3, do you prefer his score, jagger's (repurposed for and eventually used on invocation of my demon brother), or page's?

thank u sm!! this is some crazy lore, I love the fact that your mom also was into that kind of stuff, my dad used to be into joseph murphys books and law of attraction and some acupuncture stuff(??) but i think he limited himself to just praying (my parents are christian). and lol as for o.t.o in my country i like to joke about it bc me and my friend found out on some list of organizations that the woman with highest degree/level in o.t.o has a restaurant and all the representatives of o.t.o work there😭😭😭 i told him not to go there cos instead of oto there will be only dirty dishes waiting for him to clean them lol anyway yes its so cool finding out interesting artists collabs that happened back then, some are even out of the blue and i love it. i didnt know abt jodorowsky and anger ts so cool omg and holy tf u mean wilde and stoker?!??!????,, i loved both jimmy and marianne in lucifer rising tbh and jagger- im yet to find out!! i think ill watch the movie as soon as my winter break starts which is in a week🫩 idk how am i supposed to survive until then
