Pregnancy & Hair
Currently pregnant with my third child and my hair has had some challenge in the beginning of the pregnancy. It had been the end of the summer almost fall when this child was conceived. Of course with all the hormone changes my hair would take a hit or look amazing. Unfortunately for me my hair was a hot tangled, and extra dry mess back then. I thought it was just the pregnancy hormones that made my hair feel like straw but such wasn’t the case. I made some much needed changes to my hair care regime and thus my hair is far softer now than it was then.
1. Invested in a hooded dryer
2. Started using moisture masks weekly for about six weeks
3. Eliminated most protein based products
4. Did a over due trim on my hair
5. Switched shampoo brands
With that, after the first two weeks of using a moisture mask with heat, my hair’s health drastically improved. It was almost overnight I noticed the difference in how my hair felt and responded to daily care. Gone is the extremely tangled, stiff, I can’t get my curls to act right kinky hair.
