Young folks really need to see stuff like this so they donāt think a totally normal part of their bodies has something wrong with it.

Welp. Still not ready to touch on figure skating.
Iāve been avoiding the idea since I was allowed to quit in college. Always knew it was traumatic because I canāt watch it on TV without starting to cry.
Just tried to watch Yuri on Ice! because I love me a sweet, queer anime, but uhhh....literally almost had a panic attack in the first 10 minutes. Calmed myself down and tried to keep going because it seemed like it would be a cute reunion- Kid is going home after the traumatic experience of not doing as well as he was supposed to due to trauma and weight gain, (very relatable especially after your family spends so much money on you.) Then the show decides to just perpetuate the issues with body image by having him suddenly be like 3x the weight he actually was in the previous scene for humorās sake.
Canāt do it. Donāt recommend watching it if you are a person who had aĀ ādance mom/dadā in any sort of sport like figure skating.

šMe as I'm employed but trying to get out of the hell hole I work at, every day questioning why I haven't just quit, realizing I can't, but listening to my manager complain about how young people just don't want to work.
All I'm learning from watching the new hires come and go-
Don't just let yourself get hardened to the stupid shit. Find somewhere better.
Otherwise- lie on your app. You will find a place that does not call references and if you can talk through a situation, as long as you can catch on quick, you can keep a job in the service industry. Our office keeps not calling references, and we've gone through 8 hires who claimed they were experienced, except 1 who was honest. She was let go because while she was sweet, she was young, and well...not very good at listening.
But hey. Those of us up front have no say in the hires so. š¤· Let's go. We just have to deal with the newbies who have no idea what they're doing even though they claim they do.

I get really overwhelmed thinking about having to do basic tasks but one thing that Iāve found helps me is to imagine Mama Mary already having started that task for me and I just have to go help out.
Like, the dishes needing to be done does not seem like such an unbearable punishment when I imagine Mary in all her grace and serenity and joy standing there at the kitchen sink, waiting for me to come join her
Itās Been A While
I havenāt used this account in years because it used to be a source of depression, anxiety, my not being able to sleep- but now I am back.
I want to get back into using Tumblr, but instead of deleting this account and creating a new one, I really want to keep my old posts and use them as a show of my growth.
I have went through years of highs, lows, moments of mass depression, moments of mass improvement, and now I am at a place where, while not in the best place, I feel that I am more stable than I have ever been.
Hence why I want to begin using this account again. Itās a sign of my new start amidst my improvement. I have been through so much in a few years, and this time I intend to utilize this blog in a healthy way.
I will occasionally be using this blog as a way of talking through items on mine and my therapistās goals, so do not be surprised by sensitive content. I feel that the people on this website can handle certain things that I will be talking about, and also I understand if certain people feel the need to unfollow.Ā
Kay, not to mock my old self, but holy fuck is it evident that I was in the midst of getting my english-publishing major. xD Anyways, maybe Iām back. Idk. I need a journaling system, and this came to mind. We shall see.
Concept: youāve been married to your wife for 3 years. You wake up in your bed before she does, your nose cold but your body warm. Careful not to wake her, you get out of bed and your toes curl when your feet hit the cold floor. You brew a pot of coffee and take a cup, making sure to leave enough for her. You pull on a big sweater and walk out onto your deck, sitting in a big wood chair to look out over the forest. The leaves are orange and edged with frost. All is quiet as the sun rises over the trees. You hear the door opening behind you and your wife sits down next to you, wrapping the comforter from your bed around both of you shoulders. You sit there like that until the sun is well up and your coffee cups are empty.
Oh my god. This is it. I want this so badly.
