hi, anon don't worry you haven't missed much- i haven't been around in a while earlier and i think it'd be best if i used this for an update regarding the future of swatheford.
swatheford is on an indefinite hiatus. i still absolutely adore the world and characters, but i've had to put it on the back burner to make room for some exciting projects that i'm working on. i'm forever grateful for the audience and lovely people who have read and shown me so much support so far, y'all are truly appreciated and i can't express my gratitude enough.
i still want to finish swatheford and continue to tell the story but i'm not sure which medium to finish it in. i've been thinking about writing a novel/prose with a fixed MC and RO and see where that takes me! as for my endeavors outside of swatheford, i'm happy to announce that i'm 1/3 done with my first feature length script and i'm in pre-production for a short film i hope to direct next year! all very exciting things but bittersweet as well.
again this isn't the definite end of swatheford at all (the third act is absolutely insane), i unfortunately need to take a step back and devote more time towards other projects but i'll still be around! my asks will be open if you ever want to chime in! thank y'all again for y'alls patience, support, and kind words 🫶
i have an update in terms of the actor who i saw as a good blake hewitt. i watched a film he was in and lets just say he would not be a good hewitt! look wise yes but range wise... anyways hope y'all are doing well! my first week was both exciting and draining, discovered a lot more about story structure so i'm excited to apply that to swatheford :)
Santiago overhearing a conversation between the other ro's and mc, they asking about their relationship and mc laughing and saying "No, that's never going to happen, they don't want me, not now, nor ever" and their expression is one of complete acceptance.
hmm yes something along those lines! this is just a reminder that santiago will be insufferable in their route once they realize they have feelings for mc. very excited for that! :-)
What?? But that fit so well with MC being that kid from dreams. Especially since we found out that MC was found as a child and their parents are not biological parents...I thought the youngest one survived and their death were faked 🤔

thank you! it went about as smooth as expected but it's almost done for the most part! :-) the amount of notebooks and journals i had to bring in order to keep my swatheford ideas all in one place was absolutely insane
oh also! i have a question. i was under the impression that the child that has both dark and light powers from the flashbacks *was* MC but then in the most recent chapter i believe something was said about "both children and Kali" and i assume both children would be Damien and the dark and light child? unless i misread something, which is highly possible lol

i want to say that all of them do but some of them are more open to sharing that sentiment if that makes sense! though this could be heavily influenced by the fact that i'm a hopeless romantic at heart ... ..... ............
But I still want to romance them, they are my favourite ro! Can we hold a grudge but forgive them later? no thaaaaat later but not forgive them straight away, our wounded heart can't do it.
if this is in regards to santiago then yes! there'll be multiple checkpoints for forgiveness and resentment!

ah you and me both, anon! i have a mechanic that's literally labelled 'pissed' which will make a few more options available when interacting with santiago. next chapter there's an option to forgive them but it's possible that this forever changed the relationship between them...for eternity...👁
i fear i might've stumbled across a face claim candidate for blake in a yassified hollywood way. take this with a grain of salt because i have a hard time imagining characters in my mind but if any of y'all have face claims for any of the characters please send them my way! i'm curious to see how y'all've interpreted my brain children :-)

nicholas galitzine. i haven't seen any of his projects but he's been buzzing around lately for purple hearts which i have no intention of watching because the clip i saw...not a fan. my downside is that i imagine blake with a softer jawline and a less athletic build but the current length of his hair (if it were dark) paired with his demeanor makes me curious to see if he could pull off blake's calculated cynicism, i can very clearly see him pissed off and roll his eyes. but again just a thought! let me know what you think, i could be wrong and i'm not wearing my contacts right now!
