     It’s unsettling how long the blond has been silent. Gladiolus swears he’s never gone so long without hearing his voice since the day they first met. It’s probably an exaggeration but at the moment the shield doesn’t seem to care. They’ve been post up at this particular town and hotel for a few days now while Prompto spent time healing. The last hunt they had dealt with had proven to be a little too much for the younger guardian. Their curative supply had been enough to keep him alive, but he still wouldn’t awaken from his unconscious state.

      Ignis tried to assure him, insisting that it was probably nothing and just Prompto needing a little extra time to heal. It still didn’t settle the shield’s worry or even the worry of the Prince that they were all supposed to be guarding. Ignis had taken it upon himself to escort Noctis from the room with the promise of gathering more supplies for dinner.

     Gladiolus had promised to remain with his phone at the ready in case Prompto should wake up while the others were gone.

     Now at this point there was nothing to do but wait.
