Internationally unknown (maybe for good reason) swedish raw punk from 2007? Discogs says 2007 but there are reviews of the album that span back earlier, my guess is that they are a bit earlier than that.

They call themselves bajspunk (poop punk), I’d say that it is a combo of raw punk with könsrock (genital rock) lyrics. Poop punk is an archetype here, but this is the only time I’ve seen a band call their music poop punk. Their lyrics feature concepts such as feces, urine, disability, fat people, basically things that were taboo but not unacceptable to joke about at the time.

My first introduction to this album is being handed one of the 7” at a party at my friends house. I noticed that it was really damaged. Then I got the story that a mutual friend of ours had pissed right in the record sleeve, let it dry, and had given it away as a gift. Oddly fitting

In conclusion, this is a good band that might not fly today. I really like them as a ”fun band to play at parties” but it is not something I put on in my headphones

5. Diskonto - Destroy! Rebuild! (1996)

Despite being formed to make fun of the 90s swedish disrock scene, they wound up being one of the best of their time. Absolutely raw band full of violence and aggression. Everything you want from some good ol swedish dbeat.

This is the first full length album they recorded after the first tour they went on. Unfortunately my copy doesn’t have the original lyric sheet but it still absolutely Rips.

Loud fast and punk as fuck. This is what I love about them and every other dbeat band. The crass cover on the b side is probably the best version of do they owe us a living (no shade to the original I love crass but they have other songs yk listen to something other than the feeding of the 5000)

At the end of the day this band isn’t the most innovative but they are one of my favorites. It’s a perfect band for all you crusty studded gluesniffers. If you haven’t listened to them go do it.
