— vikings, season one.
The earl decides. He owns the ships. He will send us to the east, as always, to the Baltic lands. But I want to know what is to the west. What cities and gods are over there. See, I am not satisfied with this. Odin gave his eye to acquire knowledge. But I would give far more.
Ubbe and Hvitserk not even hiding their dirty thoughts as you lean over the table to reach the wine and they get a peek down your dress
American Horror Story: Apocalypse, “Apocalypse Then” (S08E10)
I have successfully flooded ya’ll with The Haunting of Hill House things and now I will disappear again.
Unpopular opinion but I sympathize with Steven. I can’t even imagine how difficult, how frustrating it must have been for him all those years not knowing what happened that night. At that point he hadn’t seen any ghosts (that he knew of yet) so why should he believe any of that? His father, the one person who had answers, refused to talk about it. The others who were there, Luke and Nell, were children with a story about having a tea party in a room that had been locked since they’d moved in, with a girl he had no reason to believe even existed. Everyone had their own pieces of the story, none of which added up for him - all he knew was that nothing was making any sense and his mother was dead.
So yeah, he could be a dick at times and made some poor choices, but I can also to an extent see where he was coming from about some of it. I may not agree with everything he said and did but I do believe that none of it was ever done with bad intentions. Steven had a good heart and like all of his siblings was dealing with things in his own way.
listen ive only been in this fandom for two seconds but i have pretty strong opinions
Me when Nell did her shit in Hill House, saved all her siblings, and gave them the emotional closure they needed to move on with their lives

Would you wake us up from a dream like that? And keep us safe? Of course.
I’ll never let you go again. Never again. I promise.

When we die we turn into stories. And every time someone tells one of those stories, it’s like we’re still here for them. We’re all stories in the end.
