I think my confusion at everyone in the walrus/fairy poll notes going, "ARE YOU ALL NUTS?? IF I SAW A *FAIRY* IT WOULD *UPEND MY LIFE* I WOULD NEED TO RETHINK EVERYTHING" can be boiled down to, like, why though? how often is your daily life actually affected by the existence or nonexistence of fairies? or by pretty much anything outside your sphere, honestly? "it would change everything!" why? if they'd always been there, that would mean you've been living in a world with fairies in it this whole time, and it has affected you zilch. this is your life in a world with fairies. what do you think you're going to do differently now that you know they're real?

Today we are all converging on my mom's house (there are at least 11 of us coming, maybe a few more) for my older sister's birthday, and for some reason she decided to fix the toilet that has been leaking a small amount but it is still usable. My younger sister tried to talk her out of it. It's like, tempting fate to do something like that 3 hours before a party. Guess who broke the toilet trying to fix it?

Okay so summer is the time to tell ghost stories in Japan which is why so many summer episodes of anime have ghosts in them and even why My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away takes place during summer. And coincidentally it’s also the original spooky season in my own country, Denmark, where we have Sankt Hans in June which is said to be the best time of year to do magic and communicate with the dead.

We all know Halloween by now which takes place during autumn and is said to when the veil between life and death is the thinnest.

In Britain winter, especially Christmas time, is considered spooky and a time for ghost stories which is why British shows always have a spooky Christmas episode and why A Christmas Carol has ghosts in it.

What I’m getting at is, is spring considered a spooky time of year anywhere in the world? You must understand, I need every season to be their own flavor of spooky.
