Okay, so these rules also involve stuff for school to make sure that I keep straight A’s. These are just for me and no one else so I really don’t need to be getting angry messages about how I’m such a terrible person for being “pro-ana” (clearly I am not).
only eat between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm (8:00-18:00)
must fit within palm of hand
cannot be eaten in same time frame (i.e. if you’ve already had a snack before your actual meal, then the second sack must wait until after that meal)
fast at least 16hrs per day
must remain between 500 and 1000 calories per day. any less and you won’t be able to focus in school and any more means you’re just gonna keep getting fat
must drink at least 2 L per day
if tracking water based on drinking a total water bottle, that is drinking at least 3 whole bottles per day (bottle holds 700mL).
eating should be approached as a chore; it is of least importance on your list of things to do each day
don’t eat unless in front of other people (this will keep them from questioning your eating habits and will keep you from binging)
if you do feel a binge coming on, drink 1 full water bottle before you allow yourself to indulge
if you absolutely have to binge, chew and spit is acceptable, but must increase fast afterwards by at least 30min-1hr for each food “eaten”
always have vegetables with dinner. vegetables are more important to get in with dinner than fruit as fruit is easier to eat as a snack
only drink water, coffee, or tea
coffee and tea do not count towards your water intake for the day (while they do in reality, I’m only tracking plain water)
no added sugar to coffee or tea
take at least 30 min to eat a full meal (20 if its soup)
before even touching food, drink some water
drink water in between bites
chew each bite as many times as possible, aim for the food being liquid when you swallow it
always eat with utensils (yes even for pizza, maybe not for a burger)
when doing so, cut up all food before eating it into bite sizes, this will make you realize how much food is actually on your plate
try to stay away from gum, it will make your brain think you’re eating and in some cases, can make your stomach hurt more if you haven’t eaten
if you actually need to freshen your breath and can’t sneak off to brush your teeth, yeah then have a piece of gum or even a mint
always aim to be the last one eating where ever you are
make a list of all foods you eventually don’t want to eat again, gradually work your way through that list crossing off foods and not eating them until you’ve done that for each one (it doesn’t matter how long it takes to do this, so long as you do it)
go to bed no later than 11:30 each night and wake up no later than 7:00 eat morning
stretch every morning and night
studying should take precedence over anything else
must finish at least 1 full subject’s worth of studying/work each day before taking a break or going out/eating with friends
make a habit of going into office hours for each professor/subject at least once per week
embody that “perfect girl”
she studies and gets perfect grades, will probably go on to Harvard or Stanford for grad school
is always nice to people: “Manners never go out of style”
is always supportive of other people
doesn’t stoop down to pettiness and/or passive aggressiveness (no matter how tempting)
when out at parties, won’t get plastered and be that embarrassing drunk. she’s above needing to get drunk and/or high to have a good time with her friends
always keeps her space neat
is involved in some kind of sport with her school
strives to be the best at everything she does
her best competition is herself
is always on top of her schoolwork
doesn’t chase boys (I always think about that interview with Cher: “men are like dessert, they’re not necessary but they certainly are nice to have in your life”)
read ahead in the textbooks for each subject
if there isn’t a required textbook for a class (and if you can afford it) buy one that is approved through the school and use that to study along with your lecture notes
always complete work early
whenever there is a mess, clean it! (this is also a great way to avoid eating. tell yourself that you can’t eat util your space is clear, your laundry is done, your clothes put away, etc…)
don’t stay in your room to study, go the the library or go a nearby cafe. a change of scene is good to keep you focused
the money you save from not buying food should either be put towards school or towards keeping yourself looking nice (ex: i am able to put aside about $50 per month to get my nails done and leave a good tip too)
always look presentable (even if you’re having a bad day, a little make up can actually really help. and now that you’re skinny and your skin has cleared up, you don’t need nearly as much makeup as before)
don’t complain or whine to others when you have a problem. assess the issue and fix it yourself or privately approach someone to help you if needed. not everything has to be a show/production.
don’t be that girl that needs constant reassurance or attention. not only will it make you feel crappy when people don’t buy into it but it will also isolate you because people don’t want to be around someone who is always asking for reassurance
back to the “don’t constantly seek attention” bit: allow others to shine too. you don’t always need to be the center of attention. your character will show through much better when you are there for others and are truly happy when other people succeed as well
