don't spend all day neglecting the things that matter most in favor of mindless activities. the grades you want, the skills you desire, the job you'd kill for, the body you want, the beauty routine that would change everything, the books you want to read, the life you want to live is so much more important. years will go by and you'll look up, barely being able to remember specific things you wasted time on but you will certainly be able to name everything you missed out on with ease. all that time wasted with nothing to show for it. don't do it to yourself. prioritize the good life you want and never let it play second fiddle to all of the distractions.
I’ve watched the self love videos, about not being ashamed of hyper pigmented; bikini lines, underarms , lips , elbows.
That’s cute
but
i just found photos i did for an athletic brand and i am outright am-ba-rassed there’s one photo they did not photoshop the underarm hyperpigmentation and it just does not look good. Even though i was freshly waxed the contrast just isn’t hot.
On that note i’m currently looking for tips and tricks to alleviate this issue. I’m not shy of any method, laser , glutathione injections, even skin lightening creams as long as they aren’t full of mercury and steroids.
I saw this one for vagacials. https://youtu.be/XfqnPrfmmHk
I hear a lot of women say the ordinary glycolic toner really helps with hyperpigmentation. I’ve been using it myself, albeit very inconsistently, and I’ve noticed positive results. I picked it up at Ulta for like $10.

Pamper Yourself ✨
Worship the divine feminine… or feel her wrath.
@wandering-anima ☺️🤍 she’s a beaut
at a certain point you just get tired of your own shit. you have to force yourself to meditate, workout, eat mindfully and read the books to form a routine that gives you a sense of happiness within yourself again. it’s exhausting i know, but you gotta keep fighting for yourself because no one will take care and love you the way you can for own being. this life is not something to go bout so casually, everyday is your first and last time to embrace this moment. this life was gifted to you with a planet to explore and souls to experience. so show up for yourself.
OKAY BUT WHY DOES NO ONE TALK ABOUT THE FACT THAT YOU CAN LITERALLY MANIFEST WHATEVER YOU WANT IS SO EXCITING??????
like, you can LITERALLY create your dream life. you can decide your looks, your salary, your job, your partner, your friends, your experiences like literally ANYTHING, it’s almost magical.
and not only that but there’s no catch, no loan, and no you don’t have to “sell your soul to the devil”, (literally or figuratively), all you have to do is just .. decide. just trust that it’s yours. it’s like, your playing sims but you’re actually IN the simulation.
sorry for this cheesy ass post but that’s just so cool to me. like woah.

Monthly Maintenance…. On a Budget
We all want to be that luxe woman who books facials , massages, nail appointments , blowouts etc. on a whim. That’s not the case for all of us, but we still deserve to feel pampered and elegant and here’s how you can do it.
SKIN:
AT HOME FACIAL (maximum twice a month)
Essentials: Cleanser, Face Steamer, An Intense Pore Exfoliating Treatment, Moisturising Face mask.
Step One : Cleanse
Step Two : Apply your Pore Exfoliating Treatment ( I use Kate Somerville ExfoliKate) And steam for as long as the treatment allows, this should be about 2-5 minutes. This is a very intense treatment that’s why I wouldn’t use it very more than twice a month. Use whatever chemical exfoliant works for you.
Step Three : Tone, if you’re using a rinse off mask tone after removing the mask. I use sheet masks so I don’t have to rinse it off.
Step Four : Apply a Moisturising face mask, do not use a pore cleansing or mud mask after exfoliating. It could be very irritating.
Step Five : Proper Hydration. Serum, Moisturiser, Light Oil.
BODY CARE
Soft and Smooth Skin:
Exfoliation is so important. I love exfoliating gloves and African net sponges. Scrubs are good too, but I’m not a fan.
Use creams and lotion that have firming ingredients.
Bio Oil and Shea butter have really helped with my stretch marks and keeping my dry skin moisturised all day.
Hair Removal:
So many easy and affordable ways to remove hair at home:
Hair removing sprays and creams: SO EASY and affordable. The only con I can think of is the smell.
Microwaveable wax pots, another easy and affordable one. A problem that could arise is that it might not melt evenly in the microwave but that hasn’t happened to me.
Wax melting pot + hard wax beads, a pricier option but still affordable.
Shaving, the ghetto👩🏽🦯👩🏽🦯.
HAIR:
HAIR TREATMENTS:
Deep Conditioning: Deep condition your hair every week. For maximum effect use heat. I use a microveable deep conditioning cap. Blow dryer attachments work too. I use the Shea Moisture Castor Oil Masque, that comes in the kit I buy every couple of months.
Protein Treatment: Gelatine! yes I know but it works. Gelatine is a hydrolised protein so it helps strengthen your hair. And obviously it’s very cheap. As someone with high porosity hair so protein treatments are very important for me, trust me when I say this works.
STYLING
At Home Salon Blowout:
A lot of people ask what the secret to great bouncy hair at home, it’s usually rollers!
But if you don’t feel like doing all that….
Flexi-Rods
Flexi Rods are a really easy way to make it look like you spent a lot of time doing your hair. When you really just spent 5 minutes the night before.
NAILS
Theres only one thing you need to get for bomb nails at home:
Polygel kit!!!
There are polygel kits for as little as 10 dollars (USD).
Here’s a tutorial on the method shown in the gif:
X
Poly gel is so soft and easy to work with even for an absolute beginner.
That’s all for now ♥️
