no longer alone // suttose
She’d lost track of the days by then but she didn’t care to anymore. Where the hell were her friends? It couldn’t be that hard to find her for God’s sake. Did they stop caring? Maybe Marcus’ bitterness towards her had come up again and he was simply tired of her drama. She wouldn’t blame him but she wasn’t asking to have Zach come back into her life every time she thought she was free from him.
She sighed as she ate her breakfast - double chocolate pancakes and homemade biscuits - and Zach looked at her with concern. “Everything alright?” He asked.
“Yeah... just missing my friends, I suppose.” She said with a shrug. He stood up and moved closer to her. His hands were placed on her shoulders and she didn’t even flinch away from them.
“Maybe they’ve given up.” He said. She frowned.
“I just want to see them again.”
“Clearly they don’t want to see you again... But don’t worry...” His face got closer to his and he whispered in his ear. “We have each other now.” He tipped her chin up and she tried pulling away. “Forever.” Then he pressed his lips against hers and she stood up from the chair.
“Zach I don’t want this!” She said, pushing his chest. “I don’t want to be here I want to be with my friends!”
“You’re never going to want this are you?!” He asked, laughing dryly. “You want your friends, huh? Fine. I’ll get you a friend. Your best friend!” And with a snap he was gone. She sat there in fear of what he meant by it and the only thing going through her head was his promise not to hurt anyone she cared about and how he always broke his promises and she wondered why she ever trusted him not to do so in the first place. All she could do was hide in the closet because it was the only place mostly untouched by Zach and wait for his return to see what he’d meant because she had a lot of best friends so she laid her head in her hands and tried not to cry because someone else was going to get hurt because of her stupidity.
