College!Seungcheol

major: nutritional science 

minor: kinesiology 

sports: football, assistant swim coach 

clubs: brazilian jiu jitsu club, he plays in a rock band on campus 

seungcheol is like the most fit person on all of campus. like he follows a strict diet of specific grains and vegetables and lean meat and is the one person up at 5 am doing a jog three times around campus

he always has his duffel bag over his shoulder and a towel around his neck. wears sweatpants in the winter and basketball shorts in the summer to class almost exclusively 

all the student athletes adore him, especially the freshman’s who see him as a sports god and he’s like. their dad. like he’s not a mean jock who ignores them he’s like actually really helpful and plays casually with them when they’re not at practice and probably goes around ruffling their hair like they’re his sons and it’s adorable

is one of the star football players on the team, and would have been a star swimmer too if he had the time but instead he just comes every now and then to help out the coach. 

when people first meet him they’re like “oh they stereotypical ‘got-into-college-on-a-sports-scholarship-douche” but the moment seungcheol smiles and makes the corniest father joke they’ve ever heard everyones automatically like what no . we take it back. this person is buff and intimidating on the outside but a soft tart meme on the inside

seungcheol: “hell yeah i cried when we won nationals last year, what you think im not going to admit i cried? let me tell you i didn’t cry- i sobbed - the entire han river came flowing out of my eyes-”

and you hate to admit it but you kind of pre-judged him too. see you meet seungcheol in your core biology class and you’re paired up with him in a group lab. almost immediately seungcheol introduces himself to everyone first and is all smiles and sweet and the two girls who are in your group also start fawning over his biceps while the other guy is just like asking seungcheol a bunch of questions about trying out for the football team and you’re sitting there with your notebook like: “guys. the lab?”

and seungcheol grins your way and you kinda like awkwardly look down because already you’re annoyed that they’re not doing their work and you’re like this guy probably only knows things about football im gonna have to do all the work

and it irks you and basically seungcheol rubs you the wrong way until class is over and you’re walking out into the hall, taking your phone out to complain to your friend through text

when you feel a hand on your shoulder and you turn around to see seungcheol and he’s like “hey, i know we aren’t friends or anything like that, but you seemed a little angry. im sorry we got off track, but i have some ideas for the lab - do you think i can send them to you?”

and you’re taken back because honestly you didn’t think he’d put any effort into this but you’re still cautious and you’re like “ok, by the way what’s your major?” and seungcheol’s like “nutritional science! minor in kinesiology because i want to specialize in physical therapy and athletic dieting after college.” and you’re looking at him like………..

ok i might have misjudged him when i thought he was only good for his body

(which by the way, you decide is worth fawning over like those girls in your group. like honestly you let yourself look at him and he’s handsome, but he’s also lean and strong and the veins in his hands are distracting and ok what no we’re getting OFF topic)

but you also like hand him your phone and you’re like “here, put in your contact.” and seungcheol’s happy smile turns into a kind of little smirk and you’re like ………… and seungcheol looks up and he’s like “were you about to tell your friend about me?” and you’re like “wha-”

but then you see your screen and it’s still on the message to your friend and all you managed to write was “there’s this guy in my group from the football team and like he’s hot but-” and you’re like

and seungcheol is looking at you with his bottom lip between his teeth and you grab your phone back and you’re like

“we can talk about the lab next class. bye.”

and you RUN out of there and seungcheol is left standing in the dust but honestly he’s like

grinning to himself like; “this……is going to be interesting.”

and it is interesting. very interesting. as in you cannot make eye contact the next lab because the tEXT you got from mr. choi seungcheol was “oh here’s my list of ideas for the lab also thanks for calling me hot, i like a person that’s straightforward (;”

and you had stared at that winky face like what the hell does this mean

and seungcheol the second you sat down across from him in class leaned his head onto his hand and gave you a little smile 

and you just. like you are just OFFENDED

because he needs to stop. you need to get work done and like literally you hadn’t liked him when you first saw him but now you couldnt help but kind of maybe who knows….be interested in him a little more just a tinsy bit…..

but yeah you try to focus on the lab and engage your other partners, but again the girls are giggling over seungcheol’s fitted shirt and the boy’s ranting about how he’s see seungcheol score touchdowns at the last game

all the while seungcheol keeps looking only at you and you’re just like “…..i need to drop this bio lab and do chem instead or something…..”

but aside from seungcheol being flirty???? and basically never letting you live down the fact that you called him hot,,,,he’s incredibly intelligent and his ideas for the labs are good

and you and him are the only two actually doing the work and like you catch onto this and so does he

so like as the week passes you get a text from him and it’s like; “i think it’s up to us to save this lab. the other three don’t even know they’re in a bio class i think.”

and you wanna be like “yeah, because they think it’s seungcheol 101″ but you don’t wanna be Petty and you’re like “well, it’s the not the first time ive done all the work, but at least we have each other.”

and after sending it you’re like

………….did i just write “at least we have eaCH OTHER” aM I OUT OF MY MIND

but seungcheol has already read the text and replies like “that, we do (;” and you’re like FriCK HIM AND HIs DUMB WINK EMOJI GOD

but also as the second week passes and you and seungcheol manage to start actually writing up everything for the lab seungcheol’s like 

“hey, we probably won’t have enough time if we only work while we’re in lab. come see me after practice tomorrow so we can go to the library?”

and honestly you wanna think of an excuse because goddammit he makes your heart race and you just don’t know if he’s playing around and it scares you but also this lab is like 50% of your grade and you want to finish and not pull like three all nighters so you agree

and you’re like “shouldn’t we invite the rest-”

and seungcheol’s like “do you really think that’ll help?” and you’re like rip you’re right

so the next day you don’t want to admit it but you actually plan a cuter outfit to wear to the library and you get there early with all your materials and as you’re sitting there you’re like

oh my god do i like seungcheol i put this cute outfit on for a boy who literally only wears sweats outside of football practice

but again, you’re too quick to judge, because all of a sudden there’s a guitar case set down on the table beside you and you look over to see seungcheol standing there

but this time the sweats are gone and instead there’s ripped up grey jeans, a flannel tied around his waist, and a acid-washed muscle t-shirt 

his ears, you notice, are pierced and the shirt’s dip is big enough for you to see a tattoo peek out from under 

and first of all you’re frozen

and second of all you’re speechless

and seungcheol’s like “sorry if we don’t get much done, i gotta be out by 8 to make it to the show at 9 otherwise the guys will kill me.”

and you’re like,,,,,,,,,,,, “they guys?” and seungcheol’s like “yeah, my band. they’re always on my ass about being late because of practice or class.”

and you’re like ….. “holy shit you’re in a band.” and he laughs into his hand like “yeah!! isn’t it obvious you know i thought the guitar and the jeans would give it away.”

and you’re like askhldfjgoefmrg WHAT i thought he was only into sports and like nutrition or something but here he is in front of you with a tattoo and a guitar and you’re like

“…..is it a rock band?” and seungcheol sits down next to you like “yeah, of course!”

and ok remember how you were like ‘wow do i really like him or is this just a fleeting thing’ WELL NOW You REALLY Are SURE YOU LIKE HIM because guitarist in a band whose physically fit as hell and smart….he’s the whole package aND THEN SOME

but you’re like @ yourself like ok ok ok chill we need to focus on the lab. the lab. don’t look at his tattoo, ok you’re looking at his tattoo, chill calm dow-

and seungcheol is scribbling something down and he’s talking but you’re like so distracted until finally seungcheol’s like

“hey, you’ve been working really hard on this with me and so you should come to the show tonight and relax.” and you’re like ,,,,the show? as in ,,,,,your bands show?????

and seungcheol grins like “yeah! it’s sold out but ill just take you through the back with me!” and you’re like “um i have class in the mor-” but seungcheol ruffles your hair and is like “c’mon live a little!”

and you’re like arent you the one whose like eat right and have a good sleep schedule??? and seungcheol laughs like yeah, but also sometimes you need to let go and do something fun

and that’s how you end up being pulled by the wrist by seungcheol into the loud backstage of a packed venue in central seoul and seungcheol introduces you to all these guys and girls full of tattoos and piercing who are all like “seungcheol, this one’s cute - look like a keeper!!!” and you’re like ????? are they talking about me??? and seungcheol just winks at you and you’re like STOP wiTH THE winks gOD

but yeah you can’t help but just see seungcheol in this whole new light and he’s just like,,,,he’s just so amazing and full of surprises and gosh he look so handsome tuning his guitar and right before he sets out onto the stage he leans in close to you and murmurs “is it ok if you give me something for goodluck?”

and your heartbeat quickens and you try to swallow the lump in your throat and you’re like “w-what-?” and seungcheol kisses the side of your lips so gently that you barely feel it but you do see the smirk he gives you before running out to start the show

and you’re left there, touching your skin and watching as seungcheol jumps around, swinging his guitar and screaming along with the fans to the lyrics

and ……..oh god this is all really happening

the show ends and seungcheol, sweaty but so so so so so happy joins you again

and before he can even ask; “how was it?” you reach up and throw your hands around his neck and pull im into a long, deep kiss

his bandmates break out into a hollering cheer and when you pull back you’re like 

HOLY SHIT I DID THAT

and seungcheol searches your eyes until his smile lights up like a million sun rays and he wraps his arms around your waist and hoists you up so he can kiss you again and spin you

and ok it’s just the most spontaneous, best decision you’ve ever made

seungcheol gets someone to give you two a lift back to campus and he walks with you to your dorm and kisses you again until you’re breathless and he presses his forehead to yours and is like “see you in lab.”

and wow from that moment on you’re in bliss. you’re in LOVe

you come into your first class just giggling like an idiot all your friends are like ??????? until you’re like “guys. i made out with seungcheol from the football team.” and theY ALL LOSE IT

lab comes around and like you’re the first person from your group there so you take a seat where you usually are and one of the girls sits beside you until you hear a voice and it’s obviously seungcheol and he like taps the girls shoulder and is like

“hi, is it ok if i sit next to my baby?” and you’re like DID HE JUST and the girl looks between you two like “wh-wai-what-wait-what????” and seungcheol thanks her when she moves, still with her mouth hanging open and he just leans in to kiss you softly and ask how the lab is going

and you’re like “baby?” and he’s like “yes?” and you’re like “no i mean-” BUT TOO LATE CLASS STARTED HEHE

you learn super quickly that seungcheol loves to let people know about the two of you

like you leave lab and promise to see him the next morning for coffee and as you’re walking to another building like 6 people stop you to ask if you’re really dating seungcheol

and you’re like jesus news travels fast but honestly it’s just seungcheol got super giddy and told the whole damn football team. and swim team. and tennis team. and lacrosse team. and YOU see where im going w/this

you see him in the morning as promised to get coffee and seungcheol literally keeps you in a hug the whole time and he pulls you into his lap and you’re like oh my god we’re in front of people and he’s like ???so

one of your guy friends comes over to ask if you did the homework for another class and you feel seungcheol’s grip on your waist tighten and you’re like oh my god reaLLY

but it’s cute

anyway you guys have on lab left and finally you finish and like just after sending the e-mail to the teacher with the finished lab seungcheol is like

“you know, ive liked you since before we had bio together.” and you’re like “???? wait seriously???” and he’s like “yeah. i remember you from orientation when you got put into my group. you didn’t even look at me once, you kept nervously playing with your hands and reading over the college handbook. it was cute.”

and you’re like asdfhoadfsgef and you hit seungcheol playfully but he just catches your hand and gives it a kiss

and you’re like “seungcheol, i never thought id say this but im sorry. i want to apologize for misjudging you the first time we met.” and he just shrugs and is like “it’s fine. but you should make it up to me.” and you’re like ??how and he’s like “come to my show again this weekend. i love it when you’re by my side to support me.” and you hide your face in his neck like DONT say that but also ofc ill come

and it becomes a regular thing, you showing up to his shows and to his football games to cheer him on

the football team all starts referring to you as parent number two since seungcheol is parent number one and it’s adorable you bought snacks for the whole team once and they attacked you in hugs and seungcheol was pulling them off like “NO!!! you can only look you CANNOT TOUCH!!! NEW RULE!!!!”

they’re like “dAD come ONN” and seungcheol pulls you against him like “be grateful but be grateful from far away.”

he gets jealous way too easily, but you always just kiss him and reassure him it’s fine - you’re his

and it’s cute like he tries teaching you to play guitar when you guys are just hanging out on the quad

he like puts his hand over yours, guides your fingers with his own 

you wear one of seungcheol’s big shirts with his band logo to sleep because it’s comfy and reminds you of him

seungcheol tries to get you hype about exercising and once takes you jogging with him around the school at like 6 am and you’re dead 5 min in and seungcheol is like ok ok and just piggybacks you for the rest of his time and you’re like how are you human and he’s like a good diet and exercise 

seungcheol getting super passionate about his classes and what he’s learned when he’s talking to you and you love watching him be so engaged, like you can see the love in his eyes for sports and for helping people

he’s just a cute angel person who is SWOLE and is in a BAND 

the tattoo you find out is actually a tribute to his mom and you’re like THATS THE ……MOST CONSIDERATE cUTESt THING EVER

and seungcheol is like SHuSH i have to hide the tattoo from the football coach he doesn’t know and you’re like hehe still a tattoo for your mom seungcheol that’s adorable…..

jeonghan whose seungcheol’s best friend is just like “how do you put up with him?” and you’re like “what do you mean?” and jeonghan’s like “how do you put up with someone that flirts with you EVEN though you’re dating him?” and you’re like “what he does no-”

but then you look up and seungcheol sends a cheesy wink your way and you’re like “jeonghan, i really don’t know how i put up with it.”

you’re seungcheol’s sweet, soft s/o but when he’s playing football you get fired up and you’re like “CRUSH THEM BABY I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!”  LOL seungcheol teases you for it but he loves it

{Special} College!AU Hyungwon

major: linguistics 

minor: german 

sports: considered doing basketball for a bit but…..

clubs: on campus book club (more like gossip club), sometimes he writes critiques for the uni journal, co-founded nap club which is Exactly what it sounds like, works w/the german club to help out transfers 

the most annoying thing about being a linguistics major for hyungwon is when people ask him what the HELL linguistics even means 

and when hyungwon’s like “it is the scientific study of language” people seem to look at him like he’s out of his mind

but hyungwon loves language, ever since he picked up his first book, and since then he grew an overwhelming fondness to classic literature and authors like hermann hesse and thomas mann 

so hyungwon decided to learn german

german & korean ??? seems like it shouldn’t mix at all but the fact that not many people study it makes it in-demand when it comes to translators and TAs in the language so hyungwon easily finds an internship with the government where he works alongside the german translator for the prime minister

and it’s like a really upscale position and a rare opportunity but it’s funny because hyungwon treats it so casually, but because of his looks, everyone there is like he’s not the dongsaeng,,,,he’s too,,,,,,too,,,,,chic

hyungwon is really outspoken in his classes like you’d think there isn’t much to talk about in a phonology class or a syntax class but hyungwon is the student that always raises his questions and isn’t even afraid to get into an argument with a teacher if he has a different understanding of the readings

and he’s been like that since he was a freshman and everyone in his major looks up to him because like WOW he’s never nervous all his presentations and ideas are always so clear and to the point

as for german class, hyungwon can get really frustrated with it

because learning a language so different from his own sometimes gets him all riled up

and he’ll only speak german for like three days so when wonho, his roommate, tries to ask him if there’s any food left in the mini-fridge hyungwon is just like “ich bin beschäftigt, ich kann gerade nicht reden*” and wonho is like “….did you just curse me out or what???”

but hyungwon works hard like people at his internship and in school think this knowledge comes easily to him but they don’t see him sitting up till 4 am at his desk recopying notes and listening to german conversation recordings

and yeah he might look cool and unapproachable as he’s sitting in the campus cafe,  reading a book titled “Through the Language Glass: Why the World Looks Different in Other Languages”, and sipping an americano but 

he’s actually just a suffering college meme like the rest of his friends 

i.e. hyungwon cheering jooheon on when he said he’d salt kihyuns gummy worms when kihyun wasn’t looking or when he fell asleep standing up in the line at mcdonalds with wonho OR when he saved 126 photos of pepe the frog because minhyuk once compared him to the meme and now hyungwon can’t get over it

so as much as he model walks his way into intermediate german or down the halls of the government building he works at………like in his free time hyungwon’s napping in mismatched pajamas or laying upside down off the couch in his dorm watching dramas for 5 hours straight

long story short; looks cool but isn’t actually cool on the inside

and you know hyungwon since middle school you two grew up in the same neighborhood and have been friends ever since

granted there was that one fight back in high school you two had but that you Never Speak Of but anyway

you know hyungwon better than most people and so his balmain jacket, lemaire sweater, acne studio sneakers, and SL glasses don’t scare you away

instead you sneak up on him as he’s sitting in the library and ruffle the top of his hair like whATS UP bro and hyungwon’s like wh Y do you always do this it took me 45 minutes to comb my hair and you’re like ‘because when you’re sitting it’s the only time i can reach the top of your head’ and hyungwons like rolling his eyes like you’re so short

and you’re like NO YOU ARE THE TOO TALL ONE SHRINK and by this time everyones looking at you and you have to slink down into the seat across him and hyungwon’s like seriously you’re so loud and you’re like pfft whatever

and you guys have this dynamic that’s playfully teasing since you know it has been years that you’ve known each other it’s just comfortable

and you’re close to minhyuk and wonho too so it’s like you four are your own lil group with inside jokes and funny kakao talk chats 

so as you pull out your own notes hyungwon keeps writing and it’s just you know……..normal

until kihyun appears three minutes later, slapping down his stuff on the table and almost making you fall off your chair

and he’s like HYUNGWON SHES HERE

and you’re like ???? and hyungwon is like “who-”

and kihyun is jumping up and down more excited than ever and he’s like hyungWON HOW COULD You F O R G E T 

and hyungwon gets up and hes about to put his hands on kihyuns shoulders to stop him from bouncing around when suddenly someone else appears and everyone in the library turns to look because

the girl that walks up to hyungwon is gracefully tall with curly brown hair and glowing tan skin 

and kihyun hops over to you and he’s like “doesn’t she look like a model????” 

and hyungwon smiles and the girl introduces herself in stumbling korean as a transfer named agatha 

hyungwon’s voice turns warm and he says something about showing her around and after that the two start speaking in german

and you watch until you feel kihyun pat your back and say “don’t those two look great together? two models, really. we gotta make sure hyungwon doesn’t leave us for germany for good now - amiright?”

but you don’t really know what to say like  you’re not…..you’re not jealous it’s just weird because hyungwon never told you about this. usually he tells you about the transfers that come to work with him but he’s never mentioned this agatha person

but you don’t let it get to you, you shake it off and roll your eyes and tell kihyun that he needs to stop being so dramatic

and you gather your things and decide to just go and kihyun shakes his head and you don’t hear him but he’s like ‘….maybe this will finally make one of them confess’

and a couple of days later you run into hyungwon and agatha and for some reason you try to duck and hide but hyungwon sees you and waves you over

and he’s like “hey, you haven’t met agatha but she’s her from germany to study korean and ballet -” and in your head you’re like no wonder she’s so gorgeous and thin she’s a ballerina ho W WI ll i eV  E R stack up

but the other part of your brain is like: um hello no we aren’t jealous shut up and be nice to the girl you don’t even know her

and so you smile and introduce yourself back and hyungwon is like “actually, can you do me a favor?” and you’re weary like no i wont tell shownu you got food poisoning again so you can avoid his cooking but hyungwon’s like nO i have to go to my internship but agatha needs to find the language department can you take her????

and you’re like sure,,,?? and hyungwon gives you a lazy little smile and wait. did your heart just - it did. it. totally did

your heart just skipped for hyungwon. chAE HYUNGWON 

and hyungwon, completely oblivious, turns to agatha and is like “ill see you later, tell me if my friend does anything dumb” and you’re like heY ExcuSE m E and hyungwon just peaces out

and you’re standing there looking at him from afar and huffing like where does he get off saying you’ll do something dumb

but then agatha is like “is the language department over there?” and you’re like right i need to help this girl out

and so you walk her over and ask her a bit about herself and she’s really nice and sweet that in some ways you feel even more worse because obviously she’s so great and …………..hyungwon gets to spend an entire week with her

finally you guys get to the right department and agatha thanks you but before you leave she asks you how well you know hyungwon and you’re like um i guess pretty well?? we’ve been friends for some time and she smiles and she’s like “do you know if he’s seeing anyone?”

and you’re like …………………………………………..

well you’re like frozen because thinking back to it you and hyungwon barely ever talk about like…..dating……like as long as you’ve known each other neither you nor hyungwon has ever brought up your relationships or crushes with each other

which only know you’re starting to realize is kinda weird because like you went to middle school with him. high school. and now even college and you’ve never like heard him bring up a significant other

which is a shock considering how much minhyuk is always talking about romance and how many people have come up to you when you hang out and ask hyungwon or wonho or any of the boys really for their numbers 

and you must have been silent for a bit because agatha asks you if maybe she mispronounced something but you’re just like no no no it’s just….i don’t know im sorry

and she’s like “oh, i thought you might because you and hyungwon are close” and you’re like sorry,,,,,i …….

and you don’t really feel comfortable talking about anymore so you make up some quick excuse about running late for a club and basically make a dash across campus 

that night you get some texts in the group chat but you don’t open it and it gets the point where hyungwon even texts you outside of the chat to see what’s wrong but for some reason you can’t bring yourself to answer

and like ok maybe you’re being a little dramatic but it’s just weird ….romance never got between you and him but maybe in the back of your head you always knew hyungwon was good looking on a whole different level…..

like you were destined to only be his friend

AND THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE OK until you found yourself looking through your old photos where he’s standing with his hand casually around your shoulder ……. or where he’s doing some funny face……or when he’s not even the main focus of the photo but still

you can’t take your eyes of him

you /like/ him and……….you’d never admitted it to yourself until now

so when you wake up you tell yourself that no. you have to get over hyungwon. and you know just the way the do it

it’s lunch and you’re sitting beside minhyuk who said he’d be studying but fell asleep and across is wonho playing on his phone and hyungwon reading another thick, intimidating looking book of his

and you clear your throat and you go “does anyone …… does anyone know someone whose free this friday?”

suddenly all three boys are looking at you like ????? what

and you bite your lip but keep your composure and you’re like “i got free tickets to this movie and,,,,idk do you guys know anyone who’d wanna go with me……..c’mon minhyuk you like playing matchmaker”

minhyuk, whose wide awake now, is just a gaping fish and he’s like um U M i mean…………um………..im friends with mark maybe he…um i know taehyung a bit…..

and wonho’s like “do you want a boy or girl or does it not matter?”

and hyungwon. hyungwon is silent

and for the first time you actually feel awkward around your best friends until suddenly like out of thin air appears………kihyun

and with a grin he’s like “i heard you had tickets to a movie, how about you take me?”

and you don’t see it but hyungwons fist clenches a bit over the edges of his book

and tbh you don’t like the smug grin on kihyun’s face, but your heads spinning and before you know it you’re nodding and reaching into you bag to hand him a ticket

and kihyun winks your way and ruffles your hair telling you he promises he won’t be late

and when he dashes off you turn and wonho and minhyuk both go into a fit of whistles and minhyuk gives your shoulder a little shove and they’re both like ‘ooOOOOO kih YU N~~~~~’

but hyungwon just shuts his book, mumbles “das ist zu viel” under his breath and gets up

wonho asks him what he says but hyungwon says he needs to go to catch the bus to his internship. wonho shrugs and turns back to you but in the back of your mind you know that….hyungwon doesn’t have his internship today

at 8 pm u get the text from kihyun that he’ll meet you outside in front of the college’s library. you feel bad  and consider texting him to cancel the plans but the movie isn’t even like a rom-com it’s some random title you picked and plus it’d be a waste to just throw away the money you spent so you try to pick a cuter outfit but in the end you end up late, rushing across the quad with your hair still slightly messy and notes from one of your classes scrawled on your arm

but once you get to the library,,,,,there’s no one there 

and you frown and call out kihyun’s name because c’mon don’t hide and play childish jokes like this

but ,,,, kihyun doesn’t appear

and then your phone rings and you pick it up expecting it to be kihyun with some lame excuse and you’re like “just tell me where you are kih-”

but then you hear hyungwons voice and he’s surprised like “kihyuns not there yet?” 

and you kind of freeze because why is he calling you all of a sudden?? but you’re like “n-no, do you need something?”

and hyungwon sighs on the other end and he’s like “no, i was just….worried” 

once again your test tightens but you try to ignore it and ask him why he has no reason to be and the other line is silent for a bit until he says that you just seemed weird…..today and when kihyun invited himself along with you…..hyungwon just stops there and sighs again 

and then your phone lights up against your ear and you look at it to see a text from kihyun’s number with thirty crying emojis and a ‘im sorry i can’t make it tonight’ text and you’re about to hang up so you can text back angrily but the next thing you see is the text:

‘i know you didn’t want it to be me. ask hyungwon to go with you.’

and in your head it clicks, kihyun knew all along. he must have even predicted hyungwon would call you

and you’re quiet for so long until hyungwon’s voice asking if you’re still there is on the other a line

and you take in a breath before asking hyungwon if he wants to maybe……….go with you instead

and im not saying hyungwon runs over to you, because we all know about his inclination to doing the least amount of physical activity ever, but that’s exactly what he does

he gets to the library five minutes later huffing with his hands on his knees

and you’re about to make some joke but he beats you to it, pointing at your arm covered in reminders from class and messy hair and he’s like “seriously? you were going to go on a date looking like that?” 

and for a moment it’s as if everything is back to normal and you threaten to kick his shin and hyungwon laughs and you’re like let’s go we’re gonna be late

and at the movies hyungwon pays for your snacks and only complains the usual amount and you guys try ur luck at the crane games outside the theater and make fun of minhyuk’s snapchat story as the commercials play

and when finally the lights dim and the movie starts you finally realize that right now you’re technically on a date with hyungwon

your best friend

but as warm as you get for a moment, you remember agatha’s pretty face and how smart and handsome hyungwon is

and when you turn to see his profile illuminated by the lights from the screen you can’t help but just get sad again because ,……date? what a joke you guys are just doing what you always do….you’re just hanging out

and once it’s over, hyungwon is saying something about how bad the script is and you two are walking and laughing couples are passing by and all of a sudden you feel someone grab your hand in theres

and when you look down, hyungwon is lacing his fingers with yours and you stare at your hands and then up at him and hyungwon takes a step closer and then another until he’s so close your bodies are practically touching and he leans down

and for a second all you can see are his lips and when they move hyungwon says, “im glad it was me with you today and not anyone else.”

and your mind starts to interpret that one million different ways but your body just picks one and then moves you so your pressing your mouth to his

and hyungwons hand lets go of yours so his arms can wrap around you lazily

and it’s a gentle, slow first kiss but it’s made better by the fact that you can tell that it’s a hyungwon kind of kiss and his smile against your forehead when he pulls away makes you feel like you’re dreaming

until he whispers against your skin that he’s been waiting since fucking high school to do that

and that’s how you two finally - FINALLY - express how you feel

and as you’re going back to campus hyungwon stops and he’s like “i need to tell you something” and you’re like oh no. is this already the end what is happening

and hyungwon bites back his lip and he’s like “don’t be mad, but kihyun told me about how you think i like agatha.” and your eyes widen and you’re like hOW DID HE KNOW WH A  T i n EVEr sA Id Th AT TO  HIM and your cheeks turn red with embarrassment

but hyungwon just chuckles and puts a hand around your waist to pull you over and he’s like

“when he told me i thought he was joking because honestly, no one compares to you for me. like i literally can’t see anyone else but you - it’s kind of annoying at times.”

you hit him playfully on the arm and hyungwon just buries his nose in your hair and he’s like “kihyun told me, and then when you asked to go out with someone all of a sudden i thought it was over, that you had really……given up on me…..but then that rascal kihyun comes over and i knew he was planning something….”

you pull back and narrow your eyes like “wait - are you saying tonight was a set up????????????”

and hyungwon shrugs and looks away like he doesn’t know what you’re talking about but you’re like oh my GOD you conspired with kihyun

and hyungwon’s like don’t blame me!!! i thought you were seriously gonna move on without me,,,,,and date kihyun,…..

and youre like oh my god and hyungwon’s like ok ok ok at least we’re here together now - that’s good enough right?

and you huff but also like,,,how can you resist this tall memes smile

and so you just tell him to make it up to you by buying you lunch and he just grins and leans down to litter your neck in sloppy kisses and he’s like “are these not enough?” and you’re giggling but also like hyungwon,,,please,,,,,,

when you come into the cafe holding hands the next day minhyuk damn near spills his coffee over himself and runs over to demand and explanation

and you wanna say something but hyungwon just kisses the top of your head and is like “wenn du ihn/sie" anschaust, kille ich dich” and pulls you along

and minhyuk is like WHAT

agatha from like her seat at a table somewhere: “he said that if you look at his significant other, he’ll end you”

speaking of agatha she thinks you and hyungwon are so cute and tbh she’s so adorable at one point you’re like hyungwon i might break up with you and run away to germany with her,,,,,, and hyungwons like ha ha ha don’t or ill tell her in german that you’re toxic or something

but now that you two are dating like you still tease each other like before

except now you tease each other while cuddling and/or making out

and every time you’re like “you look dumb” hyungwon’s like “you look dumb too” and then you both laugh and kiss each other and literally everyone is like awwwwww except for jooheon who’s just like ??? yall just call each other dumb and then proceeded to kiss What Kind of Millenial Romance….

when it’s just the two of you though, hyungwon always makes you clear your lap so he can lay his head on it and read

and you play with his hair or do your own homework while he lays there

and sometimes you have to like pull his ear cuz he’ll doze off and you’re like c’mon focus buddy

your dorm ends up being filled with books that hyungwon leaves lying around when he comes over

and your roommates like “i didn’t know you were studying german?” one day and you’re like im not and she’s holding up like the advance textbook for german language and you roll your eyes because right my boyfriend left that here

you try on hyungwons expensive (but always too big) clothing and he’ll be like ‘that jacket cost 5k’ while sitting on his bed watching and you’re like ‘why it’s so ugly’ and hyungwon shrugs like ‘it’s fashion’

sometimes you’ll go to meet him after his internship and when he comes out you wave and he’ll purposely pretend to look around and not see you because he’s tall and you’re always like hyUNGWON and he’s like “i hear a voice but where is it coming from,,,,,,”

the funny thing about this is you two are joking around like this and hyungwon’s coworkers are watching from the windows like,,,,,,,hyungwon??? has a dorky side???? that boy with his perfect face is actually………..cute????

and yes yes he is he’s esp cute when he hasn’t had his morning coffee and keeps falling asleep with his head in the crook of your neck

and when he talks against your collar it tickles and you have to try and wake him up and he refuses until you literally get him his iced americano and put the straw to his lips

hyungwon once tells you that one of the prettiest words he’s ever heard in the language is actually your name and you get all blushy like what no,,,,and he’s like “im a linguistics major, trust me when i say your name is just so pleasent to say…”

and whenever he gets out-of-nowhere romantic like that you fret and say a corny joke but hyungwon just pulls you over so you’re ontop of him and gives you those slow kisses of his

and you wanna be like hEY but ……… he always smells good and his lips are always so soft how would you even say no

hyungwon and you go shopping together and you’re like watching him pick good outfit after good outfit and you’re like ….how….does he do it

like you pick something and hyungwon’s like shaking his head

and soon enough he’s shopping for you

but it’s worth it because when he picks something out and yall go out on a date to like a bookstore or a new art exhibit everyone does a double take because you two look GOOD

people always ask how it feels to be dating a male model and you’re like he’s not,,,,,but,,,,,,you’re right he should be

that and you also can’t help but laugh because these people think hyungwon is so chic and cool when last night you literally wheeled him around in one of those grocery carts in the parking lot of the school

it was funny because his long legs hung out of the cart and you were sure they were gonna touch the floor at some point

but that corny, playful side is just for you and hyungwons close friends

there’s a time where hyungwon starts refreshing his memory for a big german test he’s going to have and he’s going over the words for the body, like the translations 

and he pulls you by the wrist and points to your eyes and then nose and then lips and he’s reading them off in german but somehow………

his mouth trails over the curve of your neck and he starts whispering the words against your skin

and like im not saying that you guys are alone in his dorm, wonho’s gone on one of his study abroads, the windows are dark and it’s raining ever so slightly outside and hyungwon’s big warm hands work their way up your shirt

and no way am i saying that he lifts you up to sit on his hips and before you know it he isn’t speaking in german or korean or whatever he’s just listening to the sounds you’re making and yeah

you all know where im totally going with this ok

waking up in the morning and helping hyungwon find his glasses, sitting up in the sheets with him and brushing his bangs from his face, kissing his pretty more puffy than ever lips ^^

sometimes you’ll sit in between his legs and the two of you will look at those old photos from the past and embarrassingly confess that you guys have been into each other for way longer than expected

and hyungwon might bring up that time where he felt really bad about not asking you to prom

and you’ll tell him how sad you were when you guys got split up for different math classes that one year

and then you’ll laugh about it because you’re here with each other now

hyungwon makes you join nap club and when you’re like “what do we do?” when you show up in the room to find all the tables moved to the sides and a bunch of blankets and pillows on the floor

hyungwon just wraps you up in a hug, pulls a blanket over you two and he’s like “we. Nap.”

every time you guys walk past kihyun he does the finger guns at you and you’re literally like hyungwon hold me back i want to fight him 

reading your paper outloud to hyungwon after you guys make out and order pizza and he offers critique and you wanna be like gOd why is he so smart and always right but you just settle for rolling your eyes and hyungwon grins because he’s like “ill take that as a you agree that im right” and you’re like dont make me shove this slice of pizza in your mouth

one night as you’re falling asleep in hyungwon’s arms, he says “du bist die wichtigste Person für mich auf der ganzen Welt”

in the morning you try to memorize it and put it into google translate but it doesn’t work, instead you find someone else whose taking german and they’re like “oh! it means you’re the most important person to me in the world”

The 'No Excuses' Study System to Get That A

I  School Days 

1. Show up to class a little early. It’ll give you time to set up, read over some old notes, put your water bottle/thermos on your desk, fill out your planner if you couldn’t in the previous period(s), check your planner to see if you have something on that day etc.

2. Sit in the front or second row. I’m serious, you will definitely benefit. Write detailed class notes. Pick whatever system works for you. I usually write my titles in red pen, notes in black pen, underline points that are repeated/emphasised, highlight keywords at home

3. If you have time at school, do as much homework as you can. If you know you have commitments that day, please for the love of your education do your homework at lunch. I know you might feel awkward, but your friends will understand. 

4. When you get home, first list down all the homework received that day on a q card (cross off as you go). Then write the same tasks in your bullet journal, but as a daily spread. Use stayfocusd or self control for mac + leave phone in a different room. FINISH ALL OF YOUR HOMEWORK. If for some reason you couldn’t complete a homework task, write it on a sticky note and place it on your wall. After homework is done, write your revision notes (flashcard the info as well). Place the notes in your accordion folder/binder. If you have some loose sheets at any point, place them in a ‘To Be Filed’ box. Sort that out when you’re packing your bag for the next day.

5. Go through the flashcards made that day and the flashcards made on the previous days.  List out all assignments/assessments on another q card with their due dates. This will come in handy later.

6. Pack your bag the night before. Remember your accordion folder + make sure your ‘To Be Filed’ box is empty. Put water bottle in the fridge and make meals for the next day.

7. The next day, wake up early, complete any unfinished homework, go through flashcards again, read through revision notes, make lunch for the day, put laptop in bag, put food + water in bag, exercise (esp if you have commitments after school), shower, change, blah blah blah. Only do this if your schedule is packed, and in my case, this is a must.

II  Weekends

1. On Friday nights, first off, do homework. You will thank yourself for it. Whip out that list of assessments/assignments and allocate half days to knock off at least two of these little assholes. Work ahead, you will feel much better.

2. Do your readings. For English, knock off some wider reading novels, for HSIE, knock off some textbook unit readings (two units ahead), for science, knock off some more textbook readings. Write summaries of each page. Type these summaries. Print these summaries. Place in accordion folder/binder. Flashcard the info. Spend like half a day doing this lmao.

3. Spend 1-2 hours going through the flashcards you made that week for each subject. This counts as studying my friend. 

III Weekends When You Actually Have Assessments 

1. Due to your working ahead, homework completion and readings, you shouldn’t be panicking too much. Get those revision notes and slot in the textbook readings notes. Highlight, annotate, read aloud, go through flashcards and get someone to test you on the content. Make sure you know all terms, formulae, key concepts, vocabulary etc etc

2. As for assignments, again due to your working ahead just print them out and heavily edit those little asshats. Then type the edits into the doc. Repeat this process four times. Then get someone to read it. Make sure all your assignments are on your USB + email them to yourself because you never fucking know tbh. 

3. You’ll probs have to sacrifice your reading time but that’s chill because the teacher/prof will probably be focusing on prepping you for the actual assessment + you gotta do what you gotta do.

SUMMARY

Seriously, just do your homework the day you receive it, write revision notes, do your readings, write notes on those readings, make flashcards, knock out assignments as soon as you know they actually exist, read every wider reading novel (analyse these novels), read your required readings (analyse this too), go over flashcards every morning/afternoon, make use of spare time in class, do homework at lunch if needed, stick to your schedule, buy coffee/hot chocolate in the mornings and put it in a thermos, keep a necessities pouch in your bag, keep your P.E shoes in your locker, use a planner, track your spending, wash your hair, brush your hair, go to commitments, attend school events, attend events you’re invited to, go shopping, watch movies, be kind to yourself, take bubble baths, light candles, listen to music, SLEEP, get that A and most importantly be proud of yourself.

What to do when you get a bad grade

It happens to us all. You study your butt off, work like crazy for that final exam, and then you get your grade and it’s not what you hoped it would be. Sure, you might have passed, but your grade is still pretty bad and you feel terrible. Here are a few things that can help:

1) Treat yourself to something nice. It’s not a reward, but a little ice-cream doesn’t hurt. Getting a bad grade is an awful feeling. Take care of your mental health FIRST, especially if you have anxiety. 

2) Stay away from friends who are discussing grades. Tell your friends if you don’t want to talk about grades, and if they don’t shut up then move away. It’s rarely comforting to be around people who did better than you or worse than you. Talk about something else.

3) Realise that it’s not the end of the world. Bad grades happen to everyone (even straight A students, at some point), and the world keeps rotating. Time will pass and in a few weeks’ time you won’t even remember that grade anymore.

4) Implement a back-up plan/do damage control. What will that bad grade affect? Can you continue with your programme? Figure out what problems will or may arise from your bad grade and figure out what you need to do to minimise the effect of your bad grade.

5) Figure out the cause of your bad grade. Did you use the most appropriate study method? Did you procrastinate the entire semester? Was the exam *particularly* difficult? Sometimes, the cause of your bad grade is more long-term than just the period your spent studying, so be thorough when you try to figure out why you got a bad grade. Was it just a case of bad luck and unfortunate circumstances?  

6) Speak to your teacher/professor/tutor. Ask if you can see your exam paper, and work through it again so that you can identify where you went wrong. Speak to them about the problems your identified and ask them for alternatives or extra help. Bad grades are only bad if you don’t learn from them.

7) Realise that it’ll all be okay, and that you will have some way to make up for it in the future. Nothing is permanent, not even bad grades.

All the small things happening when dating Credence Barebone! ❥

touchy:

·butterfly kisses: credence is very sensible to touch and gets overwhelmed so easily, so butterfly kisses are the best way to go. he loves it when you give him cute, little pecks on his forehead, cheeks and literally everywhere on his body.

·playing with your hands: credence is so fascinated by your hands, probably because he doesn’t like his own because they bring back bad memories. he is always fiddling with your fingers and presses your fingertips to his lips whenever he can.

·cold lips: credence is always cold and so are his lips but you love the cool, tingling sensation you get when kissing him. equally, he loves feeling the radiation from your warm lips.

·scars: credence has a lot of scars, his mother didn’t spare his back either. he is very self-conscious of them and you don’t let any chance fly by to straddle the ‘on the stomach-sleeper’ credence and caressing all of the scars on his back.

moments n feelings:

·with credence there is no evening or morning, there’s just floating through time with him. there isn’t a favourite daytime or getting excited for bedtime. there’s just being calm and happy all the time. even when he has panic attacks or nightmares and you have to stay awake the whole night calming him down, you wouldn’t want to change a thing.

·credence is OBVIOUSLY an introvert, so he loves doing ‘introvert-thingies’ like reading and drawing. credence loves it when you read for him but when you get too tired, you change parts and he will read for you!! credence isn’t too fond of words so it’s always a special moment when he reads page after page for you.

·when credence smiles he tends to look down or hide it. you can’t stand that, so you always grab his face and force him to look at you when he is smiling and that makes his grin only wider.

·bubble baths! credence and you love spending time in the tub together! of course things tend to heathen up often but there are equally as many times where you would just look at each other, nap or have foam fights. bonus: credence is addicted to bath bombs and he is the bath bomb commander because you don’t put them in the water carefully enough. he always explains to you, if you do it careless it dissolves way to fast and he loves to watch it melt. bonus-bonus: your favourite bath bombs are the ones with glitter in them because when credence gets out of the tub he looks like an actual angel that just came from heaven through your bathroom window, with all the glitter on his bare body.

·you two spend hours drawing together. even though, you are kind of jealous because he is way better at it. well, at least his handwriting is horrible. you also use his horrendous handwriting as an excuse to getting all the love notes he writes for you, read to you.

·when you are cleaning, you love to dance to some jazz music and credence always secretly watches you through the door gap. but most of the time you catch him and it pretty much always ends in a private lap dance for the boy.

Newt Kissing headcanons

I cannot thank you enough that you sent this request thank you i really wanted to write these.

Knuckle kisses.

Possibly one of the more chaste sort of kiss. Could be used at anytime. Preferably, he’s grown to use it when he sees you for the first time during the day as your affectionate form of greeting one another. Probably started off as a kiss to the back of your hand, but formed itself into kissing of the knuckles. 

His lips linger on your knuckles as his fingers lightly cup yours. He doesn’t want to let go now.

You kissing his knuckles when the two of you are cuddling, and your hands are entwined. With a small smile, you lift his hand and press a warm kiss to his knuckles.

Also kissing his knuckles very tenderly when he’s about to take off for another tireless journey to finish his book. The ship is about to leave, you had already kissed once, and now, your hands are cupping his. With a solemn look, you gaze up at him, peppering a few kisses onto his knuckles, “I’m going to miss you.”

Very similar to knuckle kisses are fingertip kisses!

Something that’s used more in the privacy of his case, when it’s only the two of you. 

Newt actually finds it to be rather erotic, but he wouldn’t admit that out-loud, goodness.

Newt goes in, tucks a bit of your hair behind your ear, and before he can pull his hand away completely, you kiss his fingertips very lightly.

His reaction varies. Usually he blushes, puts his hands in his lap and shuffles beside you while his heart races. He loves it when you do that.

If he’s feeling daring (which is rare, but occasionally, it happens and it makes you smile when it does), he’ll mindlessly pick up your hand and begin to pepper kisses onto each individual finger. Typically, when it’s late, and you’re already half asleep. He sort of uses it as a ‘goodnight’ calling.

Butterfly kisses.

Something very affectionate. And, it’s usually you the one giving him this sort of kiss. 

Cupping both of his cheeks in your hand, you run your hands down before pulling him down. As usual, he expects an actual kiss but finds it to be a great surprise when he feels your eyelashes brush against the skin of his right cheek.Swallowing quietly, he returns the favor and brushes his eyelashes against yours lovingly and embraces you completely, as that’s what you want when you give him this sort of kiss.

Lots and lots of Eskimo kisses.

He likes to come up behind you, pretending to scare you before rubbing his nose against yours.

This makes you really laugh as you tip your head into the crook of your neck.

Another time these are usually given is during cuddles, when you’re both facing each other, your legs tangled together under the blankets to keep each other warm. He leans his head in, pressing it against yours as if ready for an actual kiss. You tease though, and reply with your nose against his gently.

Eskimo kisses usually end with a adorable kiss to the cheek, sometimes a kiss on the lips.

Newt loves forehead kisses.

Like, it’s more likely the height difference between the two of you, but he loves the sensation of pressing a hot kiss to your forehead before digging his face into your hair.

He finds this to be a stress reliever after a long day.

He could probably nuzzle his face into your hair for hours on end if he had that sort of time.

They’re so simple, but depending on the way and situation you give them, they can be the most affectionate thing possible. Newt really likes that flexibility.

Has a thing called the “I’M SO PROUD OF YOU” forehead kiss and gives them to you when he’s well, too excited to express his pride properly and he pulls you close for a wet, big forehead kiss with his goofy grin accompanying it.

Goodbye Kisses.

The name you’ve given to the embrace he gives you before taking off on a journey. 

He tucks back some of your hair, hesitant at first before resting both hands on your shoulders and pulling you towards him. No reserve needed in a moment like this, he either lifts you off the ground of bends down to be at your level(and more often than not, it’s him lifting you) to press a gentle kiss to your lips. Newt lets his mouth linger on yours, momentarily breaking away to whisper how much he loved you and how much he was going to miss you before making complete lip contact once again because he was unsure of when he was going to be able to do this again.

Always followed by a knuckle kiss given by you.

Even the kisses he gives you before he leaves for only the day are the some of the most breathless things you’ve encountered. The gentleness and absolute care he puts behind every peck is amazing, and make you fall in love even more.

Cheek kisses!

Imagine sitting with your back facing him. Of course, it would be easy to come up behind you and scare you playfully, but he takes another route. Bending down onto his hands and knees, he crawls towards you. You, of course, can hear him moving and before you know it, his head is resting on your shoulder as he looks down at what you’re working on. You smile gently, looking at him before kissing his cheek, which he happily returns as you begin to explain what you were working on.

If we’re being honest, he really likes cheek kisses as well. He loves receiving them though, because when you kiss his cheek, you play around and press your lips all over his face and trace them along his freckles there. 

Shoulder kisses.

Happens during those late nights while he’s working by a dim light. Newt squints at his own hand writing before tossing his pencil down and growling to himself. Things were just too much sometimes, and he found it hard to cope.You can hear him though, and quietly, you sit beside him and press a kiss to his shoulder before asking, “What’s the matter?”It always gets him talking about his troubles, and you’re glad it does.

He gives you lots of shoulder kisses when you’re sitting in your chair, reading. He’ll come up, look at what you’re reading, kissing your shoulder before walking off to continue what he was doing.

Occasionally, he’ll drop what he’s doing and snuggle with you, and will pepper kisses onto your shoulders.

Scarf kisses.

(This was too cute I couldn’t help myself). Imagine Newt wrapping his old Hufflepuff scarf around the two of you. You’re so close to one another, you could almost count the freckles that were lining his cheeks and nose perfectly. There was no doubt in your mind at this moment. Newt was absolutely stunning. His breathing hitches in his throat at the look of affection you’re giving him as he subconsciously leans in. And before his mind could even churn out on more thought, you were kissing. Softly at first, as if he was afraid that his lack of experience was going to make a difference, and then harder when he threw slight caution to the wind and gained a bit of self-confidence.

He’s gotta be careful though because you’ve ‘accidentally’ taken his scarf a few times.

(how could I get through this without) On-the-lip kisses.

The extreme p l e a s u r e. Something Newt is gaining more confidence and experience with.

He really likes the whole cliche of cupping your cheeks before kissing you, but has been known to wrap his entire arms around you and pull you against him for a kiss if he’s eager enough.

Gives you a lot of pecks on the mouth. Pecks between long kisses. 

Likes to linger his lips on yours. Especially, after a heavy and deep kiss and when he’s not ready to pull away from your love quite yet. He traces your skin under his fingertips, keep his face near yours as he ghosts his lips against yours.

Enjoys slow kisses a lot. The affection and tenderness that goes into such a kiss makes his heart soar. Newt loves to feel your mouth moving against his, he loves to feel your heart-beating against his as he keeps you close to him, he likes to hear the small moan of appreciation you give when he moves his lips against yours perfectly. 

Passionate kisses. The kind where he puts literally all of his emotions into his actions. Has lead to quite heated make-out sessions that were started as cuddle sessions. Usually, with you on your back, and him hovering about you. The two of you are panting, he’s staring at you with dilated eyes, unaware that he had this sort of ability in him before uttering, “I’m quite sorry, I do-don’t know what got into me…”

Dating Newt Scamander Would Include...

Essentially meeting because of your interests in magical creatures.

Imagine him sitting you down and almost flying off the handle as he explains to you about his creatures. He pulls out his incomplete book, and points to things and facts excitedly, telling you with happy eyes how excited he was that he found someone who enjoyed them equally.

You smile widely at him as he comes to a stop, rubbing the back of his neck, now suddenly nervous and aware that you had been watching him acting so crazed.

While secretly, you admired his expressions and his attitude 

Newt showing you the inside of his case, and smiling to himself as he watches you excitedly run around, pointing at creatures you knew, and asking questions about creatures you weren’t quite sure about.

Your curiosity and liveliness makes him feel alive himself.

You and he sitting in front of the Bowtruckle, watching as he tries to convince Pickett that everything is okay, and that they’re not bullying him. Your focus is on Newt completely though. 

Seeing him so selfless and so caring for creatures that people think are dangerous makes your heart flutter.

He smiles at Pickett, and you smile at him. Newt turns his head and looks at you, now vicariously aware of how close you are. He clears his throat, sets Pickett on his shoulder and looks forward, shuffling his arms awkwardly.

You starting to refer to the newborn creatures as Newt and yours. “Our Children” “our babies” because you are spending so much time with them, that’s what it felt like they were.

Probably makes him blush.

It does.

Newt never being able to stand still around you.

Either he’s playing with his hands, jumping from one foot to another, or is making obscure gestures, he still finds it slightly difficult to stand still around you because he’s not completely sure what it is he’s feeling for you.

Also, avoiding eye contact as usual.

Though lately, you have noticed that he’s making more of an effort of maintaining eye contact for longer than his usual second.

Newt feeling the instant connection to you, though he’s worried that you don’t feel it as well.

If anything, Newt is just really nervous that he’s going to annoy you, or make you hate him.

Of course, you do feel something warm for him but you’re too shy to actually bring it up with him.

Newt probably wondering why exactly you want to be his friend.

He honestly, at times, thinks you just pity him.

He constantly asks, “do I not annoy you?”

“Is this too weird for you?”

“I have been known to annoy people quite frequently.”

“People do find me to be a bit… Eccentric if you will.”

Probably lets it slip that he wants to take you on a date in a way that he wasn’t expecting.

If you don’t think it involved one of the many mating dance he knows then?

“You make me feel so…” 

He danced. Hoping you’d understand, to which, you didn’t and it ended with him laying on the ground, murmuring, “I just want to take you out on a date, at least once. I thought my mating dance would work—”

Having the pleasure of watching him adapt to getting comfortable and affectionate around you.

The man is a fan of forehead kisses, knuckle kisses and holding hands.

Especially holding hands. He probably still asks to hold yours even when you told him that he doesn’t need to ask.

Has this habit of always stretching an arm out to touch you. Whether or not he’s making actual contact, or if he’s just ghosting his fingertips around your aura, he feels the need to be close to you know that he knows it’s okay.

Convincing him to let you tie his bowtie rather than using magic. “It’s a no-maj thing, but I like helping you.”

The two of you enjoying each others company. 

Cuddles, while he reads from his unfinished book about the research he had done that day.

Your first kiss not being perfect.

It was actually a rather fumbling, awkward situation. You butted heads with one another, you almost fell over.

But the moment Newt finally cupped your cheeks in his hands, and pressed his lips against yours, you felt the entire world fall away.

Soft, gentle and lingering kisses are his favorite, though he can honestly admit the occasional rough, more dominated sort are a surprise every once and a while.

Imagine him whispering things against your lips as he holds you close, his hands resting on the small of your back.

Newt kissing your nose, following every kiss on the lips.

You kissing the freckles on his face.

He totally gives you his jacket when you complain about the cold.

It drowns you, but you love the color, and it’s always so warm compared to you. 

When Newt insists you give it back, because it’s no longer cold, you refuse and lay on it.

Running your fingers through his soft, thick hair.

Occasionally, when he lets you, the two of you sit together and you tangle flowers into his hair. 

He finds it really relaxing. It’s even more so when he lays his head into your lap and shuts his eyes to focus on your hands running through his hair.

If you don’t think Niffler somehow got a hold of your engagement ring that Newt bought a few nights ago then?

Poor Newt probably had a heart attack when he couldn’t find it.

The stare-down he had with Niffler was intense until he finally gave in.

With a certain look, the creature admitted to taking it.
