Back in '94, there was a little boy with a dream watching his favorite player, Mike Richter, win the cup in goal for the Rangers. After years of wanting to get out on the ice, he made it happen a few months before his 30th birthday and was later asked to join an adult league. Today, after months of saving and planning, he suited up in the goalie gear he painstakingly picked out yesterday. That little boy who grew up to be an amazing man that loves hockey is my husband. There are no words to describe how much I admire him for always taking chances and following his dreams no matter the circumstance. People put limitations on themselves everyday but Ryan, he is fearless. He isn't scared to be the new guy, take advice, watch countless youtube videos about sizing/technique, and just generally, falling down a lot. I would not be able to do what he does and I am so glad he can be my example to always try, always follow my goals/dreams. (at Mid-Hudson Civic Center)
