yes trust me a dagger is just what this plan of ours needs!

had ten days before the my chemical romance LA concert. found a black lapel jacket at goodwill; chopped off around seven inches from the bottom and tailored down the shoulders to fit; emptied out my truly dreadful stash of silver fabric, lace, buttons, and trims to sew on layers & layers of embellishment. made gloves and epaulettes. the dagger is from ebay

#'...........are those leftover teeth and bones from harrow -' YES. sometimes you sculpt too many teeth for a terrible nunlet -#- and need to find further utility for all the bones rattling around in their various pharmacy canisters (it's good storage)#i think i DID manage to use up ALL the harrow bones with this though! which is great! no more pill bottle maracas full of teeth #my chemical romance #mcr #mcr cosplay #?????? is this a tag ???#*checks* [...] of course it's a tag #it is. *extremely* fun to build things from stash; because then you can point at so many different parts and go -#the lace on the back is from god tier kanaya #the silver spandex (the flatter-looking borders) is from suyin beifong #the textured silver pleather (used in the thicker bars on the front & back) is from my warlock #the buttons are all different because i had a period where i would go on ebay and bid on the cheapest listings of random button assortments #(probably from estate sales or people decluttering their own collections)#you too can chase a low-cost high by purchasing 27 mismatched buttons mailed in a ziploc bag #(the package will include a thank-you note with a kitten sticker because it's ebay)

Last day of Anime Los Angeles was truly “I want to be comfy and silly and not wear a wig” and who better to enable that but STEEEEEVE.

I did an Anathema cosplay for a day at SDCC 2019! I saw so many amazing Crowleys & Aziraphales, and I’m sooo glad that Good Omens is this popular that so many people are cosplay them, and people recognizing Anathema from my costume 😇😇

Ryleigh and I were very excited to see Into the Spider-Verse in theaters and actually went twice and feel in love with it. With the costumes, I slowly put things together over time, bout pieces of clothing and the costumes throughout the year. I did my best to make things as screen accurate as I could. I bought and returned about 6 pair of sweatpants to get it right. Cosplay has given us something else to be excited about and to look forward to throughout the year. We love having something else to bond over.

As for suggestions for parents thinking of taking their children to Dragoncon, just go for it! If you and your child have similar geeky interests, start there. If not, start with the Dragon Con parade and see what makes their face light up. Also, it can be very exhausting and overwhelming for a child, so to give them plenty of rest and time to decompress.

Yasha is the first character/cosplay i’ve ever put so much effort into and it felt really good to run around with my friends and take pictures in her.

I definitely have things I want to remake/revise but I LOVED being her and i’m excited to work on her again in the future 💕 Hopefully next time without a sprained ankle so I can do some fullbody shots with the boots haha. thanks @cronassamporna for taking the pics
