노인인구의 구성 및 변화양상

일반적으로 노인이란 생물학적 사회적 심리적요인에 의해 변화하는 과정에 있는 사람으로

국제노년학회에서는 다음과 같이 정의하고 있다

  -환경변화에 적절히 적응할 수 있는 자체 조직의 결함을 가진 사람

-자신을 통합하는 능력이 감퇴되어 가고 있는 사람

-인체의 기관, 조직, 기능상에 쇠퇴현상이 일어나는 시기에 있는 사람

-생활에의 적응이 정신적으로 결손 되어 가는 사람

-인체조직의 예비능력이 감퇴상태에 있는 사람

  연령적으로는 인구학이나 사회학에서 65세 이상을 노인으로 정의하고 있으며,65-74세 노인은

젊은노인(young-old),75세 이상-84세는는 중노인(middle-old), 85세이상은 상노인(old-old),

으로 구분하기도 한다

노인의 성격특성

나이가 들어감에 따라 어르신 (노인)은 사회심리적인 변화와 신체적인 변화와 신체적인 변화가 나타난다

첫째, 소외감과 우울증의 증가이다. 특히 우울증은 건강과 경제사정의 악화, 배우자 또는 친구의 죽음으로 인한 고독과 소외감이 우울증을 증가 시키게 된다

  넷째, 과거에 대한 회상이 증가 된다

  다섯째,조심성이 증가한다, 여기에 대해서는 학자들 간에 여러 가지 의견이 있는데 크게3가지

로 그 원인을 이야기하고 있다 그 세가지는 노인들이 정확성을 더 중시 하는것과 감각능력 및

몸 기능의 퇴화 그리고 자신감 부족 때문이라고한다

  여섯 번째는 오랫동안 사용해온 친숙한 사물이나 대상에 대한 애착심이 강해진다. 일곱 번째는 유산을 남기려는 경향이 강해서 대를 이을 제자를 키우거나 지식을 다음세대에 물려 주려고 한다.
