I miss being thirteen and reading a book a day, feeling the weight every individual character carried throughout the pages. I miss being devastated by an author’s clever thinking, never sure what the next page would be. Growing up is learning. Now I just critique the writing, the character’s actions and the overall plot. I wish I could hold the ignorance of youth for just a little bit longer.
