âHow in the freaking world did this happen again?â
âIf I recall, Tadashit, you were too proud to admit that you were actually afraid as hell of abandoned hospitals.â
âAxel, do me a favour and shut up. Let me remind you that itâs because of you that we are doing this nonsense of a courage test.â
âGuys, enough. Letâs just get over this asap and go home.â Scholar said while opening the door of the abandoned hospital as she felt her heart pound like crazy.
The three of them took a deep breath and cautiously, entered inside the abandoned hospital.
Turning on the lanterns that they had brought with them, they started walking apprehensively through the long hallways.
The degrading state of the hallways, the crashed windows, the abandoned equipment, spooked the three of them, especially Tadashi and Axel who quickly held themselves into each of Scholarâs arms.
 Suddenly, a sound was heard and they froze. It appeared to be what looked like whisperings at first but, as they walked, the sound became louder and louder and what once was a whisper became an agonizing cry of help from a room that was in front of them as they came to the dead end of the hallway.
Looking between themselves, the three of them gulped and with a shaky hand, Axel opened the door and they entered inside the dark room.
The door closed by itself as a strong wind came towards them, leaving them only with the light from their lanterns that poorly illuminated the room.
âTadashit, get your hand away from my shoulder!â
âHuh? Are you going nuts now? How could I do that when Iâm on Scholarâs other side?â
â⊠y-youâre kidding, right?â
â⊠what do you mean with that, Axel?â Scholar asked, apprehensively.
Tadashi and Scholar looked in Axelâs direction with their lanterns pointed to his side, seeing a completely paled Axel and a grotesque hand in his shoulder.
Almost simultaneously, the three of them looked back.
A face without eyes and blood coming out from it faced them.Â
âHELP ME!â Screamed the person to them.
âAHHHHHHHH!â Screaming, the three of them run away from her, going against the walls, trying to find another door, to no avail.
As the person approached them, the three of them hugged each other like there was no tomorrow, regretting their decision of ever entering inside the hospital.
closing their eyes, they waited for the worstâŠ
⊠and waited, yet, nothing happened.
Suddenly, a couple of muffled laughed could be heard and as they opened their eyes, a bright light blinded them.
Adjusting their eyes to the light, they saw Ellie, Tyler, Tegan, Alistair and Raquel laughing like crazy, almost insanely, at them.
âDude! Hahahha, this was so perfect!â Tyler said while shutting the recording camera he had on his hand.
âI canât wait to see the video!â Raquel exclaimed, holding her stomach from laughing so much.
âWhat the hell?â Axel, Tadashi and Scholar asked while looking at their friends astonishingly.
âYou guys were pranked, thatâs all!â Ellie joked while showing them the grotesque face that she held in her hand and Raquel the hand they used to scare them.
â⊠Iâm gonna put you all in detention.â Glaring to them, Tadashi said, simply earning chuckles from those who pranked them.
âRight, and what will you put in the detention description? Come on, Dashi, forget it.â
âRaquel, you are on thin ice⊠and you Al, I canât believe itâŠâ
âYeah⊠Ma bad. I just wanted to see your reaction and, oh boy, it was priceless!â
âThatâs it! Iâm giving detention to you all!â
Everyone laughed, except the three who got pranked, however, a sudden sound was heard and everyone froze.
âIs it you guys doing?â Axel asked.
â⊠noâŠâ Tegan said. âI think itâs better to go back to the dorms.â
Picking up their stuff, they all nodded their heads and at a quick pace, they got out of the hospital, walking back to Arlington.
It had been a night to forget.
