Dating is weird AF. In hs school, you see the same people everyday and you get to know them pretty well.. then you decide after you already know them if you are interested in them. When you’re no longer in school and you meet someone, it’s so different. You are saying to someone you just met, ‘hey i’m interested in you, we should go out sometime,’ but you don’t really know them so it's weird... is there a cooler approach to dating than this? Like being a reg at a bar or picking up a weird job?

nope thats pretty much dating in a nutshell.

thats why its so hard and annoying. I guess the best way to go about singlehood in your 20s is find a place you like to hang out that has clientele that you could see yourself vibing with. Even if its just as friends. I dunno.. in highschool, youre right, the dating pool is super small and you pretty much know what everyone is like because youve seen them for 4+ years. I mean you at least know some of their hobbies ie: where they sit at lunch. In bars and adult social settings its impossible to know if that cute stranger just had a good style day or if he’s always on point. Let alone his personality. I wish dating came with a lunch period.
