I remember the times when shipping a non-canon relationship was healthy and there was only some comments, respectful ones. The actors would recognize it and would interact with fans about it.

Now is just a bunch of people stating that they should be a couple, start microanalysing every expression the character/actor does, commenting rudely that their ship is better that any other ship that exists on the show, let writers and actors know about it, shutting down everyone that ships the actual canon relationships, threatning everyone.

And yet you feel surprised when the actors detach themselves from the ship. If they support it, they’re queerbaiting or baiting, if they don’t support it they’re homophobe and being being disrespectable with the fandom.

Remember Lana a few months back? Or Jennifer Morrison that never was involved with the ship? I’m honestly not surprised if Melissa and Katie start to ignore the supercorp fandom with all this hate spreading. And they’re honestly right to do so. I don’t blame them.
