Her own label didn’t know about the album until a few hours before she made her statement?? Bye
the amount of autonomy she has as an artist under a big label is insane

ok so august is absolutely from the perspective of the girl James cheated on Betty with
the repetition of “cause you were never mine” and the part where she says “remember when i pulled up and said ‘get in the car’”
and then in Betty, from James’s perspective, there’s “if i told you it was just a summer thing” and “she said ‘james get in, let’s drive’”
the teenage love triangle is cardigan (Betty), august (girl #2) and Betty (James)
aaaand tweet of the year goes to:
“If you never bleed you’re never gonna grow” 🥺
......... I’m still not over Bon Iver and Taylor’s voices together......... I am in heaven
this is WAY more than just 16 songs she fucking built an entire world in her mind, wrote characters and stories and gave it rhythm and melody. this is on a whole new level of music not just in her career but also in modern pop
i don’t think taylor realizes what she just did with this album like this is literally all too well on steroids as a whole ass entire album she’s really done it
well lads.... i have finished it.... and i truly mean it when i say i think i have a new favorite album and for once it’s genuinely not just because it’s the newest one it’s because it’s one of the most beautiful and thought provoking things she has ever pieced together and i cannot even fathom the love i feel for this piece of fucking art
Honestly, fuck big machine label group. The fact that after Taylor left we’ve gotten 37 songs, 2 albums, a folk album, a documentary, 4 videos directed or codirected by Taylor, AND SHE OWNS all of it in about ONE YEAR! They were holding her back and I’m glad she’s finally free! I’m so happy and proud of her!
taylor’s voice sounds a little different this era. it’s like she’s found a balance and a direction she didn’t have before, and she sounds so unapologetically HER in all the songs in folklore & it makes me so happy. the fact she wrote and produced and created during quarantine, then put it out suddenly- she’s just doing it for the music and for her personal growth at this point, and that is the most beautiful thing in the world.
THIS IS THE BEST ALBUM WHAT THE FUCK THE PRODUCTION THE VOCALS EVERYTHING
Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Her brain is truly remarkable. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
the whole concept of the album is so fucking amazing i cant with taylor’s mind
Mood right now:

every time taylor releases an album and i hear the lyrics it’s a big reminder that taylor swift and words are my favorite duo
Folklore reminds us of exactly why we all fell in love with Taylor Swift to begin with. It’s her songwriting, her voice, the captivating and magical ways she tells stories.
“people haven’t always been there for me but music always has.”
