I literally gave you examples of the harm going beyond that. I never decided that the "mentally i'll" people /needed/ a professional diagnosis. You assumed that. By the way I'm mentally ill dickbag. Not everyone with mental illness feels the need to list their entire medical history on the internet.

Yes! The problem is liars! People should not lie about mental illness! You should not be pretending that the people lying about serious disorders cause no harm whatsoever and the entire issue is the mean nasty fakeclaimers. No where did I say that people only choose to lie about mental illness.

It may NOT be a mental illness exclusive thing, but that is entirely besides the point. We are literally discussing people who lie about mental illness and the harm they cause.

Being a good actor doesn't equate to knowing about the disorder. You can literally just play off of stereotypes because most people don't actually know the dirty details of most disorders, they only have their preconceived notions.

It's really hard to explain what I mean but yknow that moment in the show where the protagonist realises who is pulling all the strings and it all clicks into place. But it implicates their companion in the process? And they turn around to tell their companion about their revelation and the shot changes and you can just see the companion is already 5 steps ahead of them. They're got this knowing look and a smarmy smile on their face. And before the protagonist even gets to speak they have a silent moment of "we both know what we know." LITERALLY MY FAVOURITE TYPE OF VILLAIN REVEAL.

I'd be less pissed about the continued "If you engage with HP fandom then you are supporting JKR even if you don't pay for anything" if the same standard was applied to literally anything else.

Chris Pratt goes to a homophobic mega church but no one yells about Guardians of the Galaxy fanfiction. No one says you can't torrent The Mandalorian because of Gina Carino.

Hell Disney literally funded the "Don't say gay" bill in Florida but I haven't seen anyone suggest that you shouldn't make fanart of The Little Mermaid.

Like either be consistent and call for complete boycotts of every media property with a shitty bigoted person involved or just shut up.

If you're ever looking for a series with some wizardry that does not reek of racism and transphobia + homophobia I'd highly reccomend the magisterium series. I'm sure there are series that are better than this one but if anyone is looking for that childhood wizard school book series nostalgia that has it. It was literally the first book series with a written in gay character that I had ever read.

I respect how the Harry Potter fandom moved past Jkr's bullshit and basically made it their own thing. It's always a breath of fresh air to not have to do that but I solute the troopers in the Harry Potter fandom that aren't terfy millennials clinging on to their childhood. The fanfiction writers feel like the people who have wrote the series at this point. Even the goofy ones like my immortal have more power than any shit Jkr could pump out nowadays.

It always amuses me a bit when the occasional post pops up in the TSP tag wondering why shipping Stanley with the narrator is a thing. If I were checking out this fandom for the first time, I would be phenomenally surprised if I found that the ship *wasn’t* a thing. Regardless of if the game actually has any subtext going on or if its just the fans reading into nothing, this ship was always going to be a thing. From my own perspective, as someone who is ace and doesn’t really get anything out of the kinkier aspects of the ship (Not that there’s anything wrong with that) but *is* fascinated with viewing their relationship through a romantic lens regardless, the loose canon, characterization, and hell, even the appearances of both characters (or lack thereof) allow for an absolutely massive and differing range to their relationship dynamic and it is so much fun watching people spin the ship off in their own directions. There is also something really refreshing about this ship when one half of it is often depicted as an older dude with a heavier body type. Hell, just the fact that so many people commit to keeping Stanley mute and having him communicate through other means is just so goddamn refreshing. There are so many aspects to the ship that you just do not see very often and that makes it so interesting to watch play out in its many variations.

I’ve bought 4 black butler books today and one of them contained a few chapters from the Indian Butler arc and after rereading it I realized that the Phantomhive servant trio aren’t neurotypical (Keep in mind I haven’t read the arc where they say its in the contract to do their jobs badly)  The only reason that the servants are “bad” with their jobs because Sebastian would let them do what they want, no specifics or anything. Nor does he assign them to what they are good at, nor does he assist them. After they fail to do the task he just does it himself.  Meanwhile Agni, when he had the servants help him cook some curry, he assigned Finnian to help mash the potatoes, something that requires strength, he gave advice with Mey-Rin on how to handle platters and dishes (Such as taking one off the shelf at a time, which makes sense that’d she wouldn’t know  to do that, since Sebastian would usually want them to get it done quickly, so taking multiple down at once makes sense in her brain), he also gave Bardroy the encouragement he needed. (Like Bardroy deadass cried tears of happiness when Agni called him a chef.) Agni also didn’t infantilize the servants, instead he assisted them and encouarge them. Meanwhile Sebastian just does their job for them after a catastrophic mistake. Sebastian is no means a bad guy, he’s just a demon that needs to understand humans better.

Doing poorly at your job when you're under poor management is a pretty universal trait, especially when you have no prior experience. They were hired first and foremost to kill anyone that would get in the way of Ciel's revenge or try to harm Ciel while being able to keep up the act.

Every role in the Phantomhive Household has always been nothing but pretend. Ciel stole his brother's identity to become some faux earl, Sebastian is a whole demon in a human meat suit, the servants were all told that this servant role was a way out of their old lives. Sebastian mislead them implying that they would get a fresh start and in exchange for that they would literally die for their earl, which really suits Sebastian's needs in the end. They were never going to get away from the death or the loss, they were going to become Sebastian's pawns.

Looking back, it's sad to see how they never had any hope of gaining the comfortable lives they wanted and they will never be able to forget what they went through before becoming employed under Sebastian.

I don't think Sebastian could care less about how good they are at being servants because he is totally capable of doing all of their jobs himself. Sure it is very annoying when Finny destroys the entire garden or Bard busts out the goddamn flamethrower again but annoyance is all it's ever boiled down to. However, the fact Sebastian people that are willing to die for his earl no questions asked is absolutely priceless.

I think Sebastian's main qualm with Agni leading the servants better than he did was literally the fact that Agni was BETTER than him. Imagine being an all powerful demon and some human blessed by a God that slaughtered other demons managed to be better than you at something. Especially considering Sebastian is always the competent one. He's the star of the show, the hero that saves Ciel each time, the savior of the phantomhive servants, the person that entertains, cleans the entire manor, and helps solve a murder all in time for supper. When he is worse than somebody at something *cough* Tanka *cough* he is never met with criticism and told how he could be better. It's always silent, Sebastian still gets the limelight and praise.

It's really funny seeing the contrast between Sebastian's self absorption and the humble mask he has to put on as a butler. He's always so caught up with himself he'd rather fix the servants' mistakes and get praised for it than become self aware for a milisecond and actually manage his team. Those pesky humans and their constant mistakes though 😮‍💨 this is clearly an issue with the human race and could be about nothing else. /j
