I’m very basic actually I just like Rusame and Gerita and Pruhun. Very specific but in Soviet era RusPru. I think I headcanon FACE “family” so Fruk is by default but I actually don’t think about Fruk at all. I’m cool with all ships except the incest ones and usuk and spamano don’t count. I’m actually very passionate about protecting these two because back in MYY OLD DAYS they were the top ships so I have a soft spot for them when people shit on them it makes me mad, even though I don’t ship Usuk anymore and rarely think about Spamano.

Rusame is delicious because they both have strong traditional values and standards for masculinity especially America and the propaganda machine of both of them is very strong and pushes hyper masculinity and I think Alfred loves it, he loves being bested and being with the one person in the world stronger than him, the knowledge that all his first world superpower Marlborough man bravado he’s some Russian guy’s baby girl.

one genre of fanfiction that seems to have mostly disappeared since i became an adult is shenanigans-type fics. like not exactly crack but just "the gang goes to 7-11" type, extremely low-stakes plot stories. the beach episodes of fanfiction. i just feel like i don't see those around so much anymore. whered they go. i miss them :(

Alternative universe fanfictions about Bacterial Infections related Disaster Scenarios could be solved with antibiotics. Viruses however are more dangerous. If I was writing a Disaster AU, I would prefer RNA viruses like covid, ebola over DNA viruses like hepatitis b, herpes because they easily mutate and harder to vaccinate or treat. So, when I see a fanfiction about bacterial pandemics, I think like this. Thank you for listening to my podcast.
