Hello! :) Bit of a random question here but it popped into my head and I thought it might be up your alley. Are there any particular features of the body that you've really been enjoying painting lately? Or just interesting little things you feel are underrated even? The way you depict bodies in your work always exudes such a love and reverence for the human form and all its beautiful variety and subtleties, so I was curious if anything particular has been grabbing you lately artistically. Recently I've really been having fun with the backsides of hands myself, and just loosely suggesting individual fingers by focusing on the gaps between them in more loose gestural work... also been thinking a lot about the spot just below the sternum and how sometimes you can feel or even visually see the pulse there, and the sort of vulnerability and intimacy of that. Anyway, hope this isn't too odd a question, and wish you well!
skin folds and fat!
i think it has made my drawings feel more alive and i just really enjoy getting to draw places where skin rolls or folds or has volume because of fat and i want to continue learning more. it really adds a certain je ne sais quoi...
