For some strange reason, everyone at Tancho Academy was running around in a panic, and people were acting strange everywhere you looked. In the middle of campus, in the classrooms, in the bathrooms… Especially in the bathrooms.

It had Kobato confused, but more than anything, worried. She’d wondered what was going on and why everyone was in such a frenzy. She herself hadn’t been affected by whatever it was, no. 

“E-excuse me…!” She called to the person nearest to her. ”Do you know what’s happening…??”

Needless to say, certain adjustments were... really hard to get through in this body. It looked like everyone else in the campus was in a frenzy like Yuuma was... so did that mean that he and Houki weren't the only ones affected by whatever was happening in this campus? It seemed more and more likely the more Yuuma looked around the school.

Then, Yuuma found himself approached by a girl asking what was going on. Needless to say, he didn't quite know either anymore.

"It seems like most of the students here had their bodies switched... myself included." he explained, as best as he could. "I don't know how it happened, but... everyone's in a frenzy because of it."

04 / What in the world-- ★

"I'm... Houki?"

That was the look on Yuuma's face when he looked in the mirror, somehow in the body of his friend. When he looked down on his hands, he was shaking slightly. "...how?" was all Yuuma could say in his shock. How in the world did this happen? He was just normal last night, was there any sort of explanation to when he turned into the brunette?

Even his voice had changed to hers. Yuuma was really Houki.

So then... was Houki in Yuuma's body as a result? Oh man... that wasn't good... Yuuma didn't know what to think or what to do. Does he keep up the illusion that he was Houki, or run out as himself until he finds her... well, his body walking around on campus. Would people even know the difference anyway? They'd probably would.

Shaking his head at his overthinking, Yuuma quickly got dressed in the nearest uniform that he could find... which felt totally awkward to the boy. He practically dressed himself with his eyes closed literally. And... maybe he could bring his sword case, just in case there were perverts afoot. He didn't want Houki's body to come to any harm.

So Yuuma sheepishly exited his dorm room, looking around just in case anyone saw him. But once he saw that the coast was clear, he unknownigly bumped his back into someone.

"...sorry about that." Yuuma quickly apologized.

Houki stopped abrubtly with moving. 

He smiled… He thanked her with a smile.

And she..

Totally red, she sank down on her chair. “I.. I..” she couldn’t say anything anymore. It was just too embarrassing that he has seen her like that.

“I.. I..” 

More didn’t came over her lips. This whole scene was just too embarassing.

While looking down to her legs and nervously playing with her hands, Houki thought about his words.. It was a really sad fact he didn’t have one of her courses.. But they shared the extracurricular she so loved.. and he just said she could show him around..

“I.. I would love to.. to do that…” she flustered embarassed.

“… When… when do you have some.. spare time..?”

...and now she's red in the face. Yuuma tilted his head slightly, wondering why Houki was sinking in her chair. Was she getting sick? Nervous? Or both? He didn't quite know... and he wasn't quite sure if he should ask if she was okay. He had considered doing so, but Houki bounced back on her feet before he could ask. So it looked like she was okay.

He was glad that she said she could show him around the place though.

Yuuma thought about what time he was available for a moment. Putting all of his classes into consideration, he should be fine in the afternoon or so. "Probably around the afternoon, about three or so." he answered.

Diva had a love for singing as well and the kind of distantly happy expression on the other’s face was something familiar to her. Though she wouldn’t show the expression herself she knew the feeling. The sudden want to sing and the happy feeling that followed.

“It’s no problem. Very well sung for a spur of the moment,” Her expression showed no sign of any change or connection to the other’s feelings. She maintained a simple smile of greeting, her hands folded in front of her as she balanced on her heels, watching him from the rooftops edge.

“I don’t believe I’ve seen you anywhere either. I’d remember a voice like that,” She giggled before bowing a bit. “I’m Diva. And you are?”

Diva? What a strange name for someone. Usually that referred to females in the industry from their voice. He remembered that Miku was called that a few times from her fans and critics. But oh well, it was interesting to think about. Yuuma nodded before introducing himself. "I'm Yuuma. It's nice to meet you, Diva." he said.

There was a short pause before Yuuma thought of a random question to ask. "I wonder, Diva... do you sing as well?" he asked.

The roof tops had become a sort of hiding place for Diva and more often than not she was on them. Whether it be the school building, the dorm building or anything as long as it was high and no one was there than it was good enough for her. And even when someone did come along to play she usually found herself entertained. So once again she headed up, taking the stairs like a normal, boring human instead of simply hopping from on ledge to the next until she was there. It was to early in the day for a stunt like that.

Once she reached the top of the stair- possibly even before that she heard the sound of someone already there- singing to themselves. A smile flickered across the girl’s features and she turned the door carefully, hoping not to distract the other’s attention and interrupt the song. It was quite nice. Something she hadn’t expected from the pink haired male singing.

She leaned back on the roof top door when the boy turned and addressed her.

“No apologizes needed. I was trying to be quiet.” Diva said simply, walking over to the boy and scanning him with a curious expression. “I didn’t want to interrupt.” She added with a giggle. “It was a nice song.”

Oh, that was good to hear. So did that mean that this girl liked it? It was always good when an audience liked the song you sang, even more so if they liked your voice. "Thank you...  it was just a spur of the moment." he responded, a small smile creeping on his features as his focus shifted towards the sky for a moment  before returning to the girl.

Yuuma scanned the girl for a moment, growing a little curious about her. There weren't a lot of the students that he's well-acquainted with or spent some time after classes and such. He needed to fix that soon, he knew. But one of the features that struck Yuuma first was her eyes. Vibrant, yet curious like he was right now.

"I don't think I've ever seen you around before," he commented. Yuuma would think that he would remember someone with her features. "What's your name?"

It had been a while since he sang by himself. Probably before he even transferred to this school. It was good for Yuuma to try and sing for fun for a change, alone by himself with no audience to worry about or partners to sing with. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course. It's just that Yuuma was always used to having alone time with himself, even when he was living in the family house with his sister.

Singing also included that.

And so, Yuuma sat by the roof for a while, quietly humming a melody to himself as he looked on at the scenery. Once he had gotten a good feel of the song he's been humming, the hums turned into a full blown words, and he found himself singing on the rooftop without a care in the world.

The feeling was great! Despite the swordsmanship and the unique style that he wore, singing was truly Yuuma's passion. There was no worries of classwork, no social problems or the like, there was only the feeling in his clear voice as he sang. Yuuma was so absorbed in the music that he didn't notice someone else come up to the rooftop where he was.

He finally noticed them when his song ended.

"...sorry. I didn't hear anyone else come up." he apologized, glancing over at the newcomer behind him.

She realized the shock on his face… No! It couldn’t be happening! She’s completely normal Yuuma! Oh no, thanks anon, now Yuuma thinks Luka is some weirdo on their first meeting. The pink head wasn’t sure what to say anymore because assuming that the more she talks, the weirder he would think of her. Nope, Luka just keep your trap shut. 

“Ah Yuuma! I’m so sorry about what happened.” Yeah Luka, like that’ll help you get your image back to normal. Nope, he’ll probably be scarred for a couple days until you can go back to being ‘normal’. 

“Miss anything?” Ah right, Yuuma was probably in her choir class seeing that he’s a vocaloid. Well, nothing too important right? After all, they were just on the grounds of getting started so yeah. Thoughtfully she placed a finger beneath her lip and said:

“Nothing too important~ I’m still getting a grasp of people’s voices and what not.”

It didn't help that the image was going to be in his head for a while, but the bottom line was that his fellow Vocaloid was okay. That's all that mattered. "It's okay..." was all the pink-haired boy could say. Whatever the situation, it couldn't be her fault that she turned into a... boy.

He listened intently to her afterwards concerning choir. If she was still grasping people's voice in the group, then he really didn't miss anything important... that was good. Seeing that he wasn't too behind on one class relieved the boy somewhat, but still... was there anything that he still needed to do, just to be sure?

"...Do I still need to sing, since you're still grasping voices?" Yuuma then asked. Just because he was a Vocaloid didn't mean that he should expect leniency. Luka was still a teacher... and Yuuma would bet that not everyone has heard of a vocaloid before in their lives.

Well then, Luka could only stand in the front being frustrated about her male body but suddenly—poof! What? Did she just jump back into her female body? Woah, how did that happen? In fact, she wasn’t entirely sure how she became a guy in the first place either.

 “Ah Yuuma,” Luka decided to check if her voice was well, back to itself. Thank god, it was her original voice, not Luki’s two octaves lower voice. Ah right! School map! She did remember there was one by the main office or just by the gate.

The pink head couldn’t exactly pinpoint where to get the maps, but that was a very vague knowledge of where to get the maps. Well, she could tell Yuuma that even though it probably isn’t the most helpful thing to him. At least she knew something!

“Hmm, there should be maps either by the main office or the gates!” Luka noted thoughtfully. However, shouldn’t the boy and girl dorms be rather close together? Well, not too close—she wasn’t sure what to think anymore.

What. just. happened?

For a while, Yuuma was talking to a guy that looked like he was doing a Luka cosplay, but then poof! Luka is... actually Luka! How in the world did that happen? He thought that American show where the host pulls pranks on the guests had been cancelled a long time ago, and now Japan was doing one on him? A Vocaloid edition of Punk'd?

Maybe not... but that was weird.

Luka did sound like herself now... thank goodness, but that didn't stop Yuuma for having a dumbfounded look on his face the whole time. Even when she was pointing out the maps... oh, the maps! He had almost forgotten that he asked about that.

"Th... Thank you," he began, trying to recover from the shock that he just saw. Yuuma adjusted the straps on his bags once more before suddenly thinking. Luka was a choir teacher, wasn't she? "Megurine-san... did I miss anything important, since I've just transferred here?" he asked, while the opportunity was golden.

-It was prudent of Yomi to consider putting on a suitable uniform for Kendo, but that would mean the likelihood of initiating a spar would increase as well.  She wondered which was wiser; to wait or to go right ahead and acclimate herself to her surroundings.  Meanwhile she nodded in Yuuma’s direction, the latter having formerly introduced himself.-

“Since I was very young.  My adoptive father wanted me to make the Isayama family name proud, so that one day I could inherit all the responsibilities that came with it.  I guess you could say I’m good with a blade.”

-In a brief intake of breath, Yomi started to tap the underside of her chin.  It seems she finally came to a decision on what to do.-

“I’ll go change.  I’ll be right back.”

-With that, Yomi darted ahead to slip into a gi and hakama appropriate for Kendo.-

Ah... so it was a custom tradition from her family, or something along those lines. Needless to say, Yuuma could definitely relate to that in terms of content. Though he is a singer, traditionally he was trained with a sword along with his sister as part of the family customs, but he didn't think that any other family was still doing traditional sword play like that... guess he thought wrong.

He nodded at Yomi when she said that she was going to get changed, then his attention shifted back to the wooden practice swords in the corner. He briefly wondered how this was going to go, and would they be sparring from right off the  bat... judging from the few people that were starting to come in the room, he was going to find out eventually.

He observed the people coming in, and then glanced over to the changing rooms where Yomi disappeared to. Seemed like an interesting day coming.

“Mhm.  I heard about it on the bulletin board, and since I too am a practitioner of the sword, I couldn’t resist.”

-Setting aside her personal effects, Shishio included, Yomi then placed her freed hand on her hip, the Pocky in her mouth dangling as she spoke.  There was something about the other fellow, introduced as Yuuma, that intrigued her.  For one, his hair color was uncommon.  That didn’t mean that his appearance made him any less fearsome as a fighter. In fact, it was partly Yomi’s interest to see the level of skill within the student body that brought her here.-

“I’m Yomi.  Yomi Isayama.  And whatever you heard about me, don’t take too much stock into it.”

Ah, so she heard about it from the bulletin board. Why did he think of that? Granted, he heard it from word of mouth technically, but still... that was something to take note of for the future.

Yuuma nodded at the girl's introduction, though he couldn't recall what he could have heard about Yomi around the halls. Maybe he was out of the loop concerning these things. "I'll keep that in mind... nice to meet you, Yomi. I'm Yuuma." he said. Though, whatever he has heard or not heard, she did strike an interest in Yuuma. The way that she carried herself, with her laidback position and the way she had carried her bags, the one that looked like a sword-bag came to mind, only meant one thing:

She was experienced.

"So... since you're also a practitioner, how long have you been skilled with a sword?" he asked, a bit curious.

-It seemed quiet. Too quiet.-

-Yomi had expected a larger following to appear when it came to ways of the sword, such as Kendo.  However, there only appeared to be a handful of students, of which Yomi could count on one hand.  As one would expect she was in her usual clothing that she wore within the Agency, which wasn’t all that different from the school uniform, save for color scheme.  Yomi had also brought Shishio with her, wrapped up and slung on her back.  She doubted she’d need it, but with the chaos of late, Yomi couldn’t be too careful.-

“…Am I early?”

-The Pocky in her mouth dangled with each word, before she bit into it and readjusted it with her right hand.  Seeing as how her voice would carry due to the emptiness, it remained an open question to all present, one which she expected would be answered in due time.-

Looking at the girl with the pocky in her mouth, Yuuma nodded at her question. "Yeah... we're all a little early here." he said. Looking at all the people in the room at the moment, Yuuma was making a mental note of all of the people that was in the club so far. The amount of people would surely increase when it's time for the club to start.

In the meantime, they couldn't leave the leave the room being too quiet as it was, could they?

Yuuma's attention shifted to the girl with the pocky as he relaxed himself. "You're in the club too, right?" he started. "What's your name?" They were going to be clubmates in the same club, right? Yuuma thought that this might be a good time to be friendly to the other members here.

Things were calming down, finally... after all of that madness with the zombies and all, Yuuma did all he could to defend himself. When he heard that it ended, he was relieved... and afterwards he did a little prayer for all of the casualties that had happened in that event.

Now it's back to business with school.

Yuuma took the time to move on over to the place where the Kendo Club met up after dropping his books in his room after class. He was well-interested in being in the Kendo Club, and after brandishing his sword for the past few days, he saw that he had a lot to recap and learn still, even at his level. So, at the next gathering of the club, he was there, although a little bit early.

The pink-haired male got himself suited up in the kendo uniform, slightly adjusting the guarded part so that it would fit comfortably on him. He went out of the changing room and stood in the currently empty room, glancing at the wooden swords neatly stacked in their shelves. Blinking, he wondered if he should just take one and practice a few swings beforehand.

Before he could make a move, Yuuma heard the door open. He turned his head, his focus changing to the person that had entered the room.
