What a truly mind blowing thing you’ve turned The Eras Tour Concert Film into. I’ve been watching videos of you guys in the theaters dancing and prancing and recreating choreography, creating inside jokes, casting spells, getting engaged, and just generally creating the exact type of joyful chaos we’re known for 😇 One of my favorite things you’ve done was when you supported Cruel Summer SO much, I ended up starting The Eras Tour show with it. folks (in my joe biden voice) let's think about this rationally.

Ticketmaster has one goal. Sold tickets

They would never cancel a sale on their own if it means less money for them. As if they care about demand > supply lol. 9,000 tickets ish left to sell for 50+ venues is a lot of $$.

The only other possible reason for the gen sale to be canceled is bc the promoter told TM to pull it

(Messina and) 13 Mgmt most likely are trying to brain storm how to make this right. They know a lot of the most dedicated longtime fans have nothing in their account right now. They know scalpers have tickets.

No solution will be perfect

But stopping the sale now and trying to figure out how to make it LESS SHITTY is in fact the best possible decision her team can make right now

So lets focus on that, & give them time to figure it out

If we are all coming back to tumblr, I just hope it’ll be better to communicate and make friends because before I was completely invisible and no one talked to me. But I just hope twitter doesn’t die… it was the only place where I felt like I was at lease seen to some extent anyway.

Midnights is a wild ride of an album and I couldn’t be happier that my co pilot on this adventure was Jack Antonoff. He’s my friend for life (presumptuous I know but I stand by it) and we’ve been making music together for nearly a decade HOWEVER… this is our first album we’ve done with just the two of us as main collaborators. We’d been toying with ideas and had written a few things we loved, but Midnights actually really coalesced and flowed out of us when our partners (both actors) did a film together in Panama. Jack and I found ourselves back in New York, alone, recording every night, staying up late and exploring old memories and midnights past. We were so lucky to also work with our brilliant collaborators Sam Dew, Sounwave, Lana Del Rey, Jahaan Sweet, Keanu Beats, William Bowery, and Zoe Kravitz. Laura Sisk was our excellent engineer. The wonderful and wise Beth Garrabrant took the album photographs. Midnights is a collage of intensity, highs and lows and ebbs and flows. Life can be dark, starry, cloudy, terrifying, electrifying, hot, cold, romantic or lonely. Just like Midnights. Which is out now

Taylor, You always seem to know when we need you the most. This year has been hard on all of us, each of us with our own struggles mentally and physically. I shut down mentally, and couldn’t handle it anymore. My days were filled with tears, and it seemed like the stress would never end. I hid away and was barely online. I had trouble finding happiness. My mom is sick and we don’t know whats happening. My husband and I are house hunting. I am struggling at work. Life has been hard. And then you drop this. THANK YOU. I suddenly feel alive again. I have something to enjoy and look forward to. I am writing this at my desk at work overwhelmed with gratitude that you love us so much to drop this on us. When we all needed it the most.
