Pro Tip to Help Underclassmen Actually Want to Listen to You

Don’t be condescending. No one likes that, and all it accomplishes is enraging people. Whenever I teach someone, I make sure they know my authority without making them feel patronized. Coming from experience, the only thing you’ll get out of being a condescending dick is them probably intentionally doing something wrong to piss you off because they’re pissed off. It ain’t cute.
