Though that didn’t exactly help her case while she was pulling her jacket off, about to dive into a lake (probably full of mirelurks) to get some stupid piece of junk she dropped into it. “Hold my jacket; if I come back up dead, bury me with it.”

“Randy, I’m going to count to five. By the time I reach five, you better have climbed off of me or I am kicking your ass.”

He was by far her most annoying friend. She wanted to go wrestle some irradiated creature in the distance, but of course nobody ever let her have any fun. Randy, specifically, decided that the best course of action to ruin her fun was to push her over and lay on her so she couldn’t move.

     “Well, you’ll need to see an actual doctor for the rib, unless you honestly want me scrounging around in there. I fix tech, not people.” External injuries weren’t a problem, but internal could cause serious damage if left alone, or left in the hands of someone with little experience.

     He pulled his pack off his shoulder to rummage through it. Thankfully he still had some of the herbs to make the mixture. “Just gotta find a mutfruit to mix, and this should work. My advice for next time: duck.”

“Pfffffft,” the noise was drawn out much longer than it needed to be. “I don’t need to see a doctor. I’m okay.” She pointed at the three scars on her face, yet another trophy of her strange obsession with fighting things. “Didn’t go to a doctor when this happened! Turned out fine!” Granted there was a lot of crying involved with that one.

“I can take a few punches, man. Ducking is for pansies.” But, apparently, smashing a chair over someone’s head wasn’t.

She wanted to refuse, and keep playing the tough guy, but even she got tired of pain after a while. “Ugh. Yeah, okay. If I see anyone else I know looking like this, I’ll probably get an earful.” She kept a smile on her face, though- even with half of her face thoroughly fucked up, she was in a good mood. "...I think one of my ribs got fractured, too. That happens so often I sort of don't notice anymore."

     Gabriel smiled and shook his head. Just what had she gotten herself into? “Thought I’d do a bit of sightseeing. City life gets me feelin’ cooped up after a while.” A couple new scrapes marred his arms and forehead, but nothing as bad as her injuries. He grabbed an old lawn chair and settled down in front of her, head tilted to regard her black eye.

     “Looks like it was quite a hit. Who’d you piss off?”

“Ha! Some asshole in the bar- he pissed me off first.” Her smile turned into a smirk. She sounded almost proud of herself; and she probably was. It was a wonder that the Bobrovs even let her inside anymore. She moved the bag of ice to show off the injury like a damn trophy, laughing a bit.

“He’s still in there, on the floor. Probably gonna have to pay for the chair I smashed over his head.” Despite how badass it sounded, that was the only reason she was currently conscious and the other guy wasn't. She cheated.
